We have had a wonderful experience at Peppermint Tree this year! It was my son's first year of ever going to school and he had never attended a daycare. He was nervous to say the least. Within the first two weeks of going just a couple times a week it was like he was going to his favorite place! He has learned so much and gained so much confidence. The teachers, assistants and Miss Val have all been so lovely to him and the rest of our family. Family has been encouraged to attend many of the events throughout the school year and there is a very strong sense of community. We've had a wonderful experience and we would gladly recommend Peppermint Tree to anyone!

We’ve had such a wonderful experience at Peppermint Tree. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and supported by the entire staff. Val, the director, leads with warmth and care, creating an environment where both children and parents feel at ease. The teachers are incredibly kind, patient, and attentive—it’s clear how much they care about each child. Our daughter looks forward to going and is thriving in the supportive, engaging atmosphere. We’ve seen such positive growth in her confidence and communication. We couldn’t be happier with the care and education she’s receiving!

Our son was enrolled here about half way through the school year, and the entire staff at peppermint tree has gone above and beyond to make sure he fits right in. He has learned so much here in such a short amount of time. His speech has improved tremendously, as well as his social and behavioral skills. This school has brought out a new side of my son that we had not seen when he was his previous daycare. I couldn’t say one bad thing about this school. We are so happy with our experience here and Val has been so incredibly helpful and kind. Always answering any question we have as well as supplying all the parents with fantastic resources to learn.

What an incredible school and community. Peppermint Tree has been so welcoming to our family in our first few months we’ve been enrolled. My son is beyond excited for school every day and I’m so impressed with the level of commitment to learning, play and exploration from the whole staff. Parents are strongly encouraged to stay involved with individual classes, story time and school events. You can choose your level of involvement and that’s something I am so thankful for working full time. My son is in the PreK program and I just enrolled my daughter in the Early Learners program for the fall. We are so excited for the next few years. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about Peppermint Tree. My 3-year-old daughter started there this past September, and the progress she’s made—socially and cognitively—has been amazing. She’s thriving, and it’s been such a joy to watch. She loves it so much that she can’t wait to leave for school in the mornings, which says a lot about how much fun she’s having and how comfortable she feels there.
As someone who has worked in early childhood education, I can confidently say that the care and attention the staff provide are truly outstanding. Everyone I’ve met through Peppermint Tree, from the teachers to the other parents, has been so friendly and welcoming. The school offers so many fun extras for the kids, and they even organize weekend gatherings for families, which has been a great way to meet other parents and help the kids build stronger connections. It’s such a warm, caring environment, and I’m so happy to be apart of this community.

Our son is heading to Kindergarten in Sept and has been with PT since he was in Ms. Alyssa's Early Learner class. We have had such an amazing experience at PT in all 3 classes that Owen was in for the RSY and for Camp! All of his Teachers and support Staff went above and beyond. They helped foster Owen's curiosity and zest for learning. PT staff helped Owen learn about big feelings and how to navigate them safely. This was a huge one! Following a guided curriculum and co-regulation from staff, he learned how to feel the feels in his own way to independently become regulated and happy. They provided countless opportunities for social engagement that turned into, what we hope to be, lifelong positive relationships with peers (and their families)! Not to mention all the things he learned along the way too in Fun and creative ways during centers and activities! !
We can honestly say we feel like he's Kindergarten ready thanks to these amazing staff, led by Ms. Val who is always providing new and innovative staff learning opportunities while running everything behind the scenes (and on the scene!).
We especially loved Earth Friends and that Owen developed knowledge about the Earth and how to take care of it in a fun and exciting way. Thanks Ms. Jana!
We also can't say enough positive things about a PT staple, Mr. Scott. Owen is obsessed! The way he teaches the students through music and movement is inspiring. I think we're officially groupies now!
We are so sad to leave PT and are already looking forward to camp next summer!
They say it takes a village and we're so lucky PT staff are in ours!

*this testimony comes from a professional in the education field and has a lot of experience with early learning centers and behaviors
I'm happy to answer any questions about our experience at PT if you're on the fence about where to send your child. It's a life-changing decision!

For our family, Peppermint Tree was a lifeboat in a sea of untrustworthy childcare options.
Following an undocumented, serious injury at a different (corporate, nation-wide) daycare, we were terrified to search for another childcare facility for our toddler...but we knew immediately meeting Ms. Val that Peppermint Tree was different. Peppermint Tree actually delivers what most childcare centers promise: a positive, safe, and structured environment for children to grown and learn. We will forever be grateful that the amazing team here helped rewrite our family's experience with childcare centers, and provide our child with happy memories that are still spoken about months after leaving.
If you are searching for the best option for your child, you've found it. You can rest assured that your child will be cared for and supported.
Thank you Ms. Val and Peppermint Tree, for everything you do.

This is the best place I have ever sent my child. Miss Val is the director and she is so sweet and she knows every child that goes there by name and personality, she tries her hardest to work with your schedule, she is genuinely sympathetic for any troubles. I just can’t say enough good things about her I adore her. She is running such a great establishment and I wish these teachers were paid more because they are amazing educators. My sons Pre school teacher was miss Liz and she was so wonderful she’s so patient and laid back her teachers aids were so loving to my son they keep their students so happy, safe, and most importantly they actually TEACH their students. Then my son had miss Hamilton as his pre k teacher. She is such a wonderful educator. And most of all she KNEW my son on his first day of school, she knew everything about him. Everyone in that school knows every students names, behaviors, personalities, I am just so amazed by the people that work there. I recommend this school to any parent especially those hesitant to leave their child with a stranger like I was! Ps you get weekly updates, pictures, phone calls, all kinds of things, the director is almost always available. Love this place!

The Peppermint Tree was our saving grace!! We are so incredibly grateful for each and every faculty member!! They are so nurturing, compassionate, PATIENT, loving, knowledgeable, PROFESSIONAL, caring, creative, and everything you’d want an early educator to be for your child. I completely entrusted them with my son and felt very comfortable overall. They were a perfect fit for our family. We had a distressing and unexpected experience with the former preschool my son attended, which just broke our hearts.. Miss Val took our son right in mid-year with no hesitation! His new teachers gave him such love and the right support and guidance he needed to thrive. It was so wonderful to see how they handled moments of challenging behavior without getting flustered. They’re trained in social-emotional development and actively showcase it with the children throughout the year.I very much appreciated that they thoroughly communicate with you as the parent with any issue or questions you have with such kindness, and take their time with you. They’re informative about how situations are handled and also communicate the positives about the progress your child is making. They never once gave up on my son! I formed a personal bond with his teachers that I’m so thankful for!The teachers hired are truly one of a kind. This past pre-k year even came with unexpected events (to no fault of theirs) with new teachers taking over my son’s class, and it was a seamless transition for all the kids and us parents! Everyone is on the same page with the same level of professionalism and philosophy, and it shows! The kids didn’t skip a beat and had a fantastic year!We also developed a wonderful community of friendships and I’m just so happy we ended up having a very special and meaningful experience to remember in these first early years of school and socialization. We are truly going to miss them!Luckily we get to go to summer camp there throughout the elementary years!!

My son attended two years at Peppermint Tree, and absolutely loved going. My husband and myself took a tour and felt there wasn’t any need to look any further, we registered him immediately! I never once felt worried about drop offs, he always sprinted into class! He made a ton of friends and we plan on keeping in touch with many of them over the summer. The Director Miss. Val, runs the facility impeccably, she truly cares about every child as well as her staff. She finds the best candidates to nurture the students. My son always comes home singing new songs and gleams with excitement with his reward from being on the kindness board. He will be off to Kindergarten, I’m confident he will excel this fall with the foundation Peppermint Tree implemented!

We feel so lucky to have found Peppermint Tree! Our son started in the Early Learners program with no prior daycare experience and as a late talker. He was welcomed so warmly by kind teachers and a thoughtful schedule that allowed him to be both challenged and comfortable in a new environment. Today, he's loving preschool with all his friends. Each classroom offers age-appropriate art activities, creative play, literacy and numeracy actives, and more. The childcare center also invites people in to show the children everything from how to play soccer to why to go to the dentist--and Mr. Scott the Music Man is a regular appearance! Another aspect that we greatly appreciate is the hours of outside play on the playground and the many hands on activities like the school's garden. We can't wait until our daughter can start next year. It's wonderful to know our kids are safe and happy during the hours we need to work.

Peppermint Tree is excellent when you have an only child! Even if you don't require child care, affording your child that social interaction is huge for their growth! It is also an excellent place to prepare your child for Kindergarten so they won't go in overwhelmed and scared. At home we can provide structure and learning tools but it just isn't the same as a true school environment. My son gets excited to see his teachers & his friends. He looks forward to gardening, dance parties and art projects. His overall growth has also jumped leaps and bounds from when he first started last year. So much so we extended his hours from half to full day! We also LOVE that the classes are small & the teachers build a close relationship w/ every child. Touring other schools was quite scary seeing kids screaming and overwhelmed staff. I can assure you Peppermint Tree is not and never will be that way! You also have a built in Summer Camp w/ 2 pools to accommodate all age groups. Did I mention swimming lessons, class trips, gardening, ice cream days, etc? All those things are either part of class or an option to add on. So if you are on the fence about where or if you are going to enroll your child, Peppermint Tree is definitely the Best Choice!

My child was enrolled in Peppermint Tree's summer camp. He was there for 5 hours and he was out (playground & pool) from 10:30 am until 11:30 am. Then they'd go inside from noon until 3 pm. This was their time to eat and sleep! Their naptime was 2 hours. So, if you want your 4.5 year old toddler to go to summer camp and nap for 2 hours this is your place. There were no other activities as promised on the schedule we were emailed to before camp began. The schedule showed that they were going to do arts, science and so many fun things. When I asked if he was doing any of these things I was told by his teachers that most of these were happening during his pool time. Really? Isn't the establishment's responsibility to ensure that all groups get to do these "fun things?" Why should a 4.5 yr old eat and sleep from 12 pm - 3 pm. There is plenty of time for his "teachers" to read books, engage them in fun/educational activities while they're inside. So really, all that money we paid for was only for 2 hours (run around in the playground and use the pool). Our child didn't learn anything, there were no educational activities as the written schedule showed, and we basically paid for 5 hours, 3 out of which were eat and sleep! I don't recommend this place whether it is for summer camp or as a daycare. Unless you want to use it as a babysitting place, sure, then it's fine. Just don't expect your child to learn here...

My children attended this school for three years and we enjoyed all of them. The school is always clean. The staff are amazing. They go above and beyond to make the kids feel comfortable as well as follow a curriculum that truly prepares them for kindergarten. Outside the class they have trips and enrichment activities giving the kids the opportunity to learn while having fun. During the COVID-19 pandemic the director provided constant communication on protocols and procedures. They teachers held online meets when in school wasn't possible and seamlessly transitioned the children back to in person. The last two years were difficult on all but the staff here maintained the same level of professionalism they had in years before. This is a team of educators that truly love what they do and it shows. I can't say enough good things about this school.
