They are doing absolutely amazing work to help save Barnegat Bay from increasing damage caused by development in the bay watershed.

Nice trails. Not huge but big enough for an afternoon walk with your dog.

Last night, we went to see an outdoor theatre production of "Hair" at the Eco center. The show was fabulous, and the Eco center itself is truly a gem of an outdoor space, tucked away in the woods of Toms River, just off Route 37. My friends and I were just delighted to discover this place. You will be, too.

This is an excellent organization if you are concerned with wildlife and environmental conservation. Based in Toms River, NJ, they have educational seminars that are free to attend. I've enjoyed creating my own rain barrel in a rain barrel workshop, I've learned about home bee keeping from Bee Shore Honey who did a presentation here and I had a great time during the Ask a Botanist event where we discussed identifying native plants and then took a walk through the woods with him to see examples of natives and invasives in situ. GraceAnne Taylor is especially helpful and driven to be an advocate for our precious local ecology. She is well organized and does a great job at purveying, publicizing and hosting these events. Thank you, Save Barnegat Bay!
