I am …as I text this review …on hold for 20+ minutes-I cancelled my service in December after my last bill.I have an email stating the cancellation-My can was picked up 12/23 (with a $75) chargeI have not had garbage pickup because I cancelled butI received a new invoice for Jan for $86 and one being charged again in Feb…I tried to call a week ago they will only speak to my husband -I already had his permission …I set up the Acct during Covid-How do you cancel and make sure it sticks with no new charges if no one will answer the phone!!!!!Called @4:45 two other times and the msg says they close @4:50 Really!!!Terrible customer service or just deliberately incompetent!Calling my bank asap!!!

I have always given WM five stars for their excellent service. But due to the frigid weather all our neighbors trash cans are sitting outside. No notice from WM as to when trash will be picked up. OUr nightborhood to the north had their trash picked up today

Edit- 1/1/24 literally the worst. Bill keeps increasing. Service gets worse. Time to jump ship like most people in my neighborhood are.We have been a Waste Management customer for ten years. This past year of service is horrendous. Trash does not get picked up, the bill increases by 35+% without any notice (which apparently is due to gas going up- and they have the right to do that at any point I was told.) So when gas costs go down our bill will too?I just received the new quarter bill which went up a few more dollars. Fine everything is increasing. Problem is service is decreasing. Never showed again for scheduled pickup on June 24th.Trying to call customer service and keep getting disconnected. Waste Management's customer service used to be top notch now the agents on the phone are rude, the drivers don't show....doesn't seem like I'm alone after reading the recent reviews either.

I would absolutely AVOID WM in our area. We were a customer for years and over the past 3 years they increased our price 8 times. It is absolutely insane. When I objected they said it was past the 30 days stated in fine print on the bill. Eventually when the contract was up they wanted to match the price of a local provider. I asked them for a quote. It was 3 x as much as the competition! At that point they wanted to undercut the competition and insist on a 5 year contract where they would maintain the right to increase the price as much and as often as they please. You can't make this stuff up. Finally , when I objected the customer service rep said I should have called more often to try to negotiate. I said how about you don't increase prices 4 times in a year. She said that is what we can do, it is up to you to call and fight the increases. Is this person serious?After all of that instead of a free dumpster haul away after 15 years as a customer, they added a $250 removal fee, plus a $40 energy surcharge, plus administrative fees, etc.. to take away the dumpster.Update: I have been using a local company for my office building for the past 4 months. They are wonderful. On time, polite, and much cheaper! Look elsewhere and do not hire WM. I have since convinced two neighboring buildings to switch to this other provider as well and negotiated an even better contract (it was already great) with the local provider.I have recently sent a personal letter of recommendation for my current provider to any and all neighboring buildings that i could see were using WM. I can only assume WM is over charging those buildings as well.Update: two buildings in my area reached out to thank me and mentioned they will be switching from WM as soon as possible. One of them mentioned they were paying upwards of $800 a month with energy surcharges etc and they were quoted at 192$ from the local provider for the same service.

They’re doing crazy price increases right now. they just raised me almost 15%. When the other companies in the area are half of what they’re charging who needs them. they’re just trying to make money and they’re entitled to try and make money on you and we’re entitled to go somewhere else, after 30 years of business with them, this is not the way to treat customers

It completely bewilders me how a massive truck at 5:20 in the morning has the reverse beeps, blaring, waking up the entire neighborhood, especially that we have five dogs, it drives them crazy. Whiting NJ area.

I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.Over the last decade I’ve had countless missed pick ups and insane price increases without any notice.How do they get off changing $170 ish per quarter when every competitor is charging between 99-110?Simply outrageous.Switched my service this weekend, wasn’t told about any additional charges. My neighbor was told they would charge $70 to have an outside company come pick up their bin. A wm garbage truck came the following day and two men threw my bin and the neighbors in the back of the garbage truck and crushed them. I can’t put plastic in the garbage but they can crush plastic garbage pails? And they charge $70 to do it ?I recommend you do your homework before you settle for awful service with astronomical prices.

I was a WM customer for years. The person who picked upmy garbage was absolutely the best!!! The only reason I left was that I got a $75. INCREASE per quarter! I called and tried to dispute the high increase but nothing was done, so I switched companies. In the meantime I have received 6 requests to rate them. I was trying not to, because it was negative, but I really don't want to get these emails anymore, so now I am rating them. They are an excellent company, and again, I loved our driver, he was the best, but I cannot be paying $175 per quarter .Service: House & garage cleanouts

They never come twice a week when they're supposed to forget about holidays. Where most garbage companies will pick up the next day. Not waste management, they will Come 3 days later. Maybe the following week and then complain the can is over filled. Every time gas prices go up, they raised their prices. But when gas prices go down, they don't lower their prices. I live in jackson twp and I am not the only one in town with these same complaints!!!

Have had the service since July and have not seen a truck yet on the Ranch. But, every time I roll up to the dumpsters to put stuff in them they are empty. Must be a bottomless dumpster. Great work guys. Thanks.
