“Great prices. Very friendly employees. Fresh baked dozen chocolate chip cookies were 2.69 and my son and his friends graciously left me one cookie lol so I could try it and they were better than Shoprite and cheaper! I needed salmon in a pinch to make a couple party trays and they had amazing deals on that and pretty much everything else they have in store.”

“I really appreciate this place since Food Univers opened up. The prices are so reasonable compared to the other places. I try to buy most of my stuff here because it saves me a lot of money. This is the closest place for me to shop at and to be very honest it's pretty good. It's not all name brand stuff but the quality and price is actually very good on just about everything they sell.”

“One dollar mango no bueno!I bought some Tommy atkins 1 dollar a pop. I had to throw one out. It wasn’t bruised, but when I cut it open it had black spots where the yellow should be…Also bought some papayas very sweet! But only had a little bit of seeds, that’s a first for me.”

“Richfield Farms and Garden Center, located centrally in Clifton is perhaps the quintessential go to place in the area for all your plant and garden needs, and also for some household needs as well. At almost any time during the spring, summer and autumn, there is something special around. From blooming plants and flowers, to their organic farmers market, to fall spectaculars, I never fail to come away with something good or useful. Mind you, the produce prices may be at times on the uppish side, but that's the way organic produce prices work. I always make it a point to get there a few times a year.”

“Love the selection. Place is always clean. Only issue is they are very strict on the 8 PM closing time. Sure wish they were open till 9 PM which is still earlier than almost all grocery stores.”

“This is an incredible little spot unlike anything I’ve seen before. It is a mix of a small local produce market & Peruvian restaurant. The outside looks a little rough but it has loads of potential and the food is delicious. Everything is so authentic, well prepared, and the owners are great guys with amazing attitudes even if you just met them you’d feel like you knew them for years.”

“People are complains about the cashiers and help. If you want a full service market, go to Wegmans or Wholefood and spend higher retail prices and have people at your knees. This place is pretty good, I'm not saying it's the best service but the food is not bad. It saves you lots of money and sometimes in life you can't have it all if saving money is your goals. Instead of having 8 cashiers that don't do anything for 3/hrs/day and pay another $2.50 for a can of oatmeal then you have to suck it up. The pre-Madonna complainers can spend their money in wholefood and cry about the high cost of food. We have a financial crisis here with a history of high interest rates that affect everyone. Remember Covid? No food on isles, but the supermarket people showed up everyday to serve us!”

“I have been meaning to give the Oakland Giant Farmers Market a review. This is an excellent store and the cookies are cooked to perfect, not all soft and bending, but firm and crisp. The vegetarian Greek style lasagna is really good. Everything is priced very reasonable, and the staff is so friendly and helpful. I love going there.”

“Very accommodating Arab owner to serve predominantly Jewish community for the last 24 years. If you ask him about particular product, he will go out of his way to get it stocked for you. Has become a community staple, customers are greeted with a smile. Exactly like it should be.”

“Went with my family the weekend after Halloween and the farm was pretty empty which to me is not at all a bad thing. Getting from the main road to the pumpkin patch was a little confusing but once we got to the entrance there were plenty of workers to guide us through and directed us with in the parking lot. Very organized and courteous. The pumpkin patch was small compared to the ones I've been to out in Long Island but I feel like the pumpkins from this farm are better. I love the cute little houses located just inside the pumpkin patch, the kids loved playing in them and they were cute for pictures. There were a few "face in the hole boards" that were great for pictures too. There's a little stand between the pumpkin patch and the animal pen that sold crackers for the animals. The animals were cute and very eager to nibble the crackers out of my kids' hands. After about 5minutes with the animals, we went on the hayride which we felt was the best part bc we had the truck to ourselves. I don't know if that's bc it was past the Halloween rush, but either way we prefer no crowds. The perimeter of the truck bed had benches and in the middle were small bales of hay to prop your feet on or for little kids to sit on. After the ride the driver was kind enough to shut the engine and let my kids sit in the driver seat. My son(almost 3yo) lit up and did not hesitate to grab the wheel and pretend to drive. Even my daughter(9.5yo) was all smiles. Before leaving we stopped by the market which was busier than the pumpkin patch. It was a cute market that had a lot of products. There even was a deli counter that made sandwiches & salads to order. Everything looked delicious but was quite pricey, which if you think about it, how often are you going to go to a farms market to buy pies and donuts? The main reason for my going though, was to get apple cider donuts. The donuts came in two options: cinnamon sugar coated or powdered sugar coated and were packaged in sets of 5 and 10, stacked up on this massive table. Every so often someone from the back would come out with a couple packs of freshly made donuts. I also got a jar of raspberry preserves and a s'mores chocolate chip cookie(my daughter LOVED it). Just outside the market was a playground for kids. It looked cute but we didn't have time to let the kids play. Over all, we all enjoyed our time at the farm. My family and I live out in Queens and only came to this farm bc I have relatives that live close to the farm. We would definitely come again but maybe we'll try for apple picking.”
