Now I know why my mother has been here three times! Service was great food was great! They had so many specials it's hard to choose! I went with the stuffed calamari and the pasta with a salmon and shrimp white sauce. Wife had the eggplant appetizer special along with one of the pasta specials with red pesto. The bread for the table is fresh! As in they pop a small loaf into the oven and in 15 min you've got a loaf fresh from the oven! The chef/grandmother came around to see how everyone was enjoying their food. It's all the little things that make a difference. We'll definitely be back!

Not fine dining. Happy birthday music blaring.... Turning the lights off completely.... Every 15 minutes. I just want to put a fork to my face and see not my dinner. I only mention this as it has gone off 4 times..... Already.....On to the food...(1)- My wife's pasta and (2) my father's pasta was way undercooked. Literally hard center. When we let them know about my wife's pasta. (Didn't say anything about my father's). The manager let us know that they couldn't make her as it was their last "Special". The manager came over and let us know that apparently they use premade sauce..... for their "Cacio De Pepe".... Cacio De Pepe.... It literally means "pepper" and "cheese". "That they made in advance". That they couldn't make more.I guess I should have used their logic... And made some authentic "Ragu" from the jar at home.3) Don't lie about your lack of knowledge or your menu... I won't be back

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while! We didn’t eat here, so I can’t speak to the food (although it looked good), but the people at this restaurant are so welcoming and kind that they deserve this review. My 2 1/2 year old daughter gets carsick and threw up during a long drive. We ended up pulling into the parking lot behind this restaurant and knocked on the back door. When the kitchen staff told the manager that we were there, he kindly and quickly let us in and took us to the (very clean) restaurant bathroom so I could change her and clean her up. Despite us not being customers and coming in with a sick toddler, EVERYONE from the manager to the kitchen staff to the servers to the restaurant patrons were so incredibly warm, welcoming, and caring. Hopefully we can come by on purpose one day and taste the food! The people at this restaurant are so appreciated.

Fantastic! I organized a lunch meeting for Italian American group of business owners. The food from Made in Italy brought the group back to Italy. The dishes were traditional but still unique! The menu had some traditional true Italian dishes that are hard to find in this area, like pannelle and eggplant focaccia. The menu is as if it was taken straight from a restaurant in Sicily. I highly recommend! The owner Alex was a pleasure to work with and Joe and Marco at the restaurant were so attentive to the large group! Our group members cannot wait to go back!

Honestly I was very disappointed in my meal I ordered via DoorDash. I have ordered here once before and food was amazing, but this time around it wasn’t all that great. I ordered a margherita pizza and carbonara today and I can first say that the pizza I received is not a margherita at all. I’ve seen other photos and this definitely isn’t what I ordered. Even though the mistake was made I still decided to give it a try and it was very cold and bland. Next is the carbonara. I have had the carbonara before and was blown away, but today it was lacking in flavor and it is supposed to be topped with guanciale and what I have is bacon. I know they are similar but I have had guanciale enough to taste the difference. I wanted to love it so bad because the first time I had food here I was blown away. But this time it feels like it was extremely lacking. I want to try again on another day but I am very wary.

Excellent restaurant, where you can find the original Italian traditional food, not an obvious thing in a large variety of "Italian" restaurants. I can tell you this because I'm Italian and this was my first good experience in the USA. The staff is very kind and will help you to choose the best specialties of the day. Grazie, I surely will come back.

My parents and I hadbeen going to this place for years until a few months ago we found a DEAD ROACH in our plate of salad. The manager/owner didn't apologize he wasn't present when we made a complaint. The server just changed our plate. We pay didn't eat and left. I really loved this place their sandwiches salad really good Italian pasta and coffee and Gelato all the food is excellent but after the roach incident we felt disgusted of going back. Everything seemed so clean and organized with amazing servers but imaging how many roaches are the customers eating without knowing. ?

My husband and I went to Made in Italy in Totowa, NJ, for the first time last night. Due to the extremely rude behavior of one of the servers, it will be our last. Our server, I think his name is Fernando, was very welcoming and explained the specials, answering all of our questions. We decided to split the grilled octopus (item on the regular menu) and we both ordered the parpadell in a ragu sauce. The octopus arrived and was a generous serving. Unfortunately, it was tough, hard to cut and was like chewing rubber. A female server, not our Fernando, approached our table and we told her that the octopus was extremely tough. She proceeded to pick up a knife and fork from our table and cut a piece in front of us, basically, questioning our claim. She removed the plate, never offering an apology and brought it up to the kitchen window, where we saw the owner (?) tasting it and then speaking to one of the kitchen staff. The only person that apologized and seemed to care was Fernando. The octopus was removed from our bill but the damage was done. We order grilled octopus from other restaurants so, we know that it shouldn't be like rubber. The pasta was OK but very little meat for a ragu sauce. We ordered the hazelnut flute, which is served in a glass flute. It must have come straight from the freezer, as it was rock hard.Afraid of breaking the glass, we had to let it sit for a few minutes, in order for it to thaw enough to eat...it was the best part of the meal.

1st time in Made In Italy Ristorante. From the minute we got there we saw a fantastic atmosphere with friendly servers and large plates coming out. We were welcomed by various staff members which was a surprise (not common nowadays for sure). Needless to say, the food was excellent, each dish more outstanding than the previous one. Customers never stopped showing up, so make your reservations ASAP!PS: Parking lot was full but cars kept coming out of their spots continuously so we didn’t have to wait at all. We will return here.Parking: We found parking right away.
