I had the beef empanada and the beef chimi and tostones. The meat wasn’t well seasoned and the empanadas were dripping with oil. However, when it come to pricing ( each empanada is 5.99 ) I would say it’s priced at a resonable price due to its size and the amount of meat that is in the empanada. I enjoyed the tostones however the amount that was given based on the price, was a bit disappointing.

The empanadas are amazing. I would have taken a picture, but my wife and I ate them too fast. We had the pico de carne, cubano, and cheesesteak. All of them were fantastic. The passionfruit shake was great too.

The empanadas are good. I got two chicharron de pollo bowls and it was the worst I’ve ever had. It hardly came with any chicken on it mostly bone. Only reason I gave two stars is because the empanadas are decent. But overall complete rip off for those Latin bowls. Wish took a picture, but I just took a few bites and threw it out because it was bones and barely any chicken.

Stopped by for lunch today and was blown away. Aside from over a dozen fried empanadas to choose from, they had five baked varieties on display. Inside is seating for 20, a soda fountain and a small drink fridge with about 10 options. Empanada are $6 but double the size you'll find elsewhere. I got the chicharrones de cerdo bowl. Served piping hot and fresh, the pork wasn't hard but had great flavor and chew. The sauteed red onions were a nice touch on top of a bed of fluffy white rice and iconic black beans. The squeeze of lime over everything married all the flavors together giving it that zesty acidity. $15.98 and well worth it, could only finish half.It took less than 10 minutes to prepare.Parking: Better off in the back or on a side street

I have been here multiple times, and I am shocked that I haven't reviewed it! Mama Ana's is absolutely amazing. I have eaten at the restaurant and have taken out food from there multiple times. The quality has always been consistent and absolutely amazing. The ingredients are extremely fresh and the combinations of empanadas that they have are out of this world. Along with empanadas, they also have great plates/bowls that you can order. I will constantly be coming here whenever I'm in the area

gorgeous empanadas packed with meat, they have a wide variety of flavors and have dessert empanadas too. Everything is so tasty and fresh. The steak and pernil bowls are delicious. The yuca fries are really good, definitely try them!I love this place and have brought my friends here, they are all repeat customers! The service is friendly and welcoming, the restaurant is clean and cute. This place is a jem of Totowa.

Empanadas are great. Can't complain of the food itself.Recent price changes have made me pause my ordering. Prices have gone up 33% to 50% on most menu items. I understand there is an increase to everything these days, but the new prices are quite wild right now. I am sure they are being charged more for the ingredients and the rent for their building, but this increase in pricing is rough for many of us. I would gladly buy up their empanadas if my salary was increased by 30%. Since it has not, I will have to cut back my empanada adventures. As a reference, last week I spent about $75 for an order, w the new prices, that bill will be $100 this week. Hard to pay that much more for the same product, no matter how good.As long as they don't decrease the quality and size of the empanadas with the current price hike, they will continue to do well as they are excellent empanadas. For those w the $$, enjoy them, as they are quite delicious.

For $5 and empanada you'd expect it to taste great, and that's exactly what you get here. I've tried the beef, chew steak, pizza, chicken, cheese empanadas and none of them have disappointed. The beef and cheese is nice and juicy. Be sure to get their hot pink sauce.

They have so many options of empanadas to choose from, its so hard to decide. I got the pico de pollo and it was really good. The pastelon de platano was good but not my favorite. My friend had a california one which she said was excellent as well. There are appx 30 different types to choose from, along with latin bowls and sandwiches. I really enjoyed it and recommend it.
