“Old-school Italian butcher & deli! They make their own sausage & fresh mozzarella! Grabbed lunch - ordered The Naples sandwich: Chicken cutlet, imported prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, broccoli rabe, roasted peppers, extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The bread was awesome (this usually makes or breaks a great sandwich). Everything was fresh, clean, and delicious. Owner & his wife were super friendly. Their stuffed breads were cut in half; they were stuffed to the max. I can't wait to return & try other things here! Purchased some fresh mozzarella & some treat for home too.”

“I'm a professional chef, formerly from Watertown Ma., who has been a client with Lance and Fossil Farms for over twenty-five years, during which time I ordered hundreds of pounds of their game. I have never, EVER, complained about the quality of their meats. They're impeccable!This was my first visit to their retail outlet, and trust me, it's a cook's delight. It's located just five minutes off of 287, which is SO convenient. If you're traveling North-South from, or to, New England or Mid -Atlantic states, it's easily accessible. We stopped there on Friday November 10, 2023. The manager was terrific, explaining everything and pointing us in the right directions.We were planning an Early-Thanksgiving dinner, and wanted something more than the usual turkey, blah, blah, blah. The elk was a real buy, but the 6oz Ostrich Steaks were the real star of the meal. I've been enjoying Fossil Farms ostrich for decades, literally, and it remains the best, repeat THE BEST, game meat I've ever tasted! Everyone else agreed.I regret that I hadn't planned on preparing a Charcuterie board for the party, because they also carry a wonderful array of cured or smoked meats, plus cheese, plus condiments. A little Duck Prosciutto, some Venison Jerky... You get the picture.If, for a moment, you think that their retail prices are high, trust me, they're not. Every piece of meat is perfectly trimmed and 100% protein. And the flavors are amazing. Highly recommended.”

“This store is really special, and has easily grown into one of my top three favorite spots in Montclair. It certainly has the feel of days gone by in all the best of ways. The food is fresh, they have an immaculate menu of sandwiches (and this includes for vegetarians!) and ready-mades. They also have a really fantastic, specialized selection of dried pastas, snacks, sauces, jams, etc. My husband and I went for the first time earlier this month and we were really blown away by this gem. The staff and (who I presumed to be) the owner are courteous, clearly work hard, and are friendly. I asked for several different sandwiches, half a pound of their homemade turkey breast, and some premades, and it seemed to be during a rush hour. I had a question about their selections, and while the staff that was helping me didn't know the answer, she didn't blow over it and instead made sure to check with the owner. This was in the middle of rush hour and there was a strong and consistent line of people; the owner, in spite of all the running around and multitasking, made sure to get me an answer and responded in such a kind and friendly way. It really made me nostalgic for more specialty stores that are run by actual people instead of a generic, mass marketed, one stop capitalist shop. Truly, Rosario's reinforces the ideology of 'shop local.' Highly recommend!”

“This particular store in Caldwell is our favorite.We usually get sandwiches sides and a drink. It's our weekend lunch spot when we don't travel. Everything is fresh, the store is clean and the staff is friendly. We may consider doing a holiday meal plan from here soon. Portions are reasonable.”
“Fossil Farms catered our wedding this month and did a phenomenal job! Our wedding was held outside at a private residence on Lake Hopatcong and ensuring the offsite catering (both the food and service) ran smoothly was critical for this plated, sit down event of 130 people. Ben and Liz worked with us through all the details leading up to the event and did an awesome job the day of. Our guests loved the creative passed hors d'oeuvres (Gazpacho Shooter, Bison Steak Tartare etc.) during cocktail hour. Big thanks to Ben, Liz and the entire Fossil Farms team for helping to make our day special and memorable.”

“My favorite Asian supermarket... it's not huge.. but it has a tremendous variety of items.. and ALL of the items I need. I've been to larger stores that do not have the staple items I require. Also not to be missed is the prepared food area and bubble teas! YUM!”
“A very quick they got me in early. I was only picking up a few palettes pull around the side of the building sometimes there's A-line but there's usually still room to pull around. Docks are a little tight but not overall not bad no overnight parking.”

“They have a great deli and hot prepared food. It's a good place to stop by and grab a few fruits and other foods. I especially like the cold/prepared food they have there like the pot pies and the empanadas so I recommend those.”
