Was a member of CUNJ for 6+ years, within the last year the closest branch to me (Willingboro) closed and the next closest was 40 minutes away. Because of this I stopped using the account. When I went to close out the account there was an $85 charge for account inactivity which I received no notice for (email, phone, text, letter). I attempted to dispute this with staff who advised that there was nothing I could do. I then went home and called customer service, spoke with a manager and didn’t hear back from CUNJ for a week. Today I reached out again to see what the status of the dispute on this fee was, I was advised that there was nothing that they could do because the account was closed.Outrageous fees, horrible service, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!!! TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN!!

The young girl who works as a teller does not have connections with customers she doesn't give proper acknowledgment and doesn't seem to remember people or how long these people have had their account with credit union just because of this matter I will be closing my accounts with credit union and going to another bank which is more friendly

Beware of Unfair Practices at Credit Union of NJAs a loving son, it's important for me to make sure my elderly mother is protected from predatory financial practices. Sadly, I cannot say Credit Union of NJ has the same priorities.My mother, who isn't well-versed in finance, was recently convinced by Credit Union of NJ to sign up for a variable interest loan. Not only did they fail to properly explain the risks associated with this type of loan, but they also took advantage of her lack of knowledge to push her into something she didn't fully understand.As a result, my mother was blindsided by significant hikes in interest rates. She has been struggling to keep up with the payments, which has put a tremendous strain on her both emotionally and financially.I decided to shop around for a better deal, only to find that Credit Union of NJ's fixed interest rates were consistently higher than those offered by regular banks. This left me wondering whether they were truly dedicated to their members or if they were more interested in padding their own pockets.Based on my family's experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend Credit Union of NJ. There are many other credit unions and financial institutions out there that prioritize customer service and fair practices. I would advise anyone considering this credit union to explore their options before making a decision.

Seemed like a good deal at first, but I was wrong, while the people are nice, I have lost, lost $60 by putting money into a savings account here. Even the big banks that doesn't happen.

Do not open an account here... Had a check deposit returned of 400 and now they are holding a $3840 deposit and will not allow me access to any of my funds when I have bills to pay. The bank was furnished with confirmation that the check cleared the bank it was drawn on still they refuse to release the hold on the deposit. Filed complaint with NCUA, BBB, Consumer Affairs, and reached out to NBC10 consumer affairs. Read the online Yelp reviews this bank is known for freezing customers funds and not allowing them access to their own money. They use the excuse that they are researching the account due to red flags all along collecting interest on your deposits they are holding. I am shocked that this place is still in business so beware. You can judge how responsive these people are by looking at the responses to all the bad reviews they actually only took the time to address a couple while ignoring all the rest.

There ATM machine is old ,and do not clair the money right away. But the one in Ewing Clair your money in minutes ..and you don't have to use envelope for deposit. Because it counting the money at the same time you put it in. Love the Ewing ATM..it's not too many branches. Why you got to use an old ATM to make it hard on customers.

I will NEVER return to this branch. The atm did not give me the correct amount. I asked for 60 dollars and a receipt and it gave me 40 dollars and no receipt. Of course the bank was not open so I just lost money. You should be able to trust the ATM. The security guard, on older man who stands near the atm is incompetent. I asked him is there parking for customers he tells me to go straight down the street. Straight down the street leads you to another street not a parking lot. When I returned and asked again, he says you went the wrong way you should have turned into the alley? Wait you meant he alley with the one way sign that I can't turn down.
