My name is Amylee I started on October 15th at Jody’s salon upon hiring I was told that I would be able to bring in models to built my book, I was also told that I would be provided mannequin heads for practice which were not provided to me and I asked a couple of times, on 3 different occasions I asked to bring someone in and was told the schedule would have to be “looked” at it was never looked at leaving me with no models, I also had a client coming in on a Wednesday to have highlights and had to cancel on her last minute because another client was put in that time slot that did not show up, leaving me to have to inconvenience a friend who simply just wanted her hair done, working at Jody’s salon I shampoo out all of her clients and receive maybe $5 leaving me to believe that she is pocketing my tips, I’m asked to leave every night before the last client is out of the salon and not being asked to tip out or get bigger bills, also being told in front of a client because I asked for help that I have “2 ears and one mouth for a reason” having my client now uncomfortable sitting in my chair because I asked a simple question to my boss, I was told I’d be making minimum wage which in the state of NJ is $15.13 per hour I was making $12 also being told I would have walk ins coming in everyday to help build my book, I can count on one hand how many clients I’ve had in working there for 4 weeks, last week I accidentally spilled a bowl of color and was given an an attitude obviously it wasn’t spilled on purpose but I didn’t expect to get such a rude reaction from Jody then her husband asks me if I got a before picture and when I said no eyes were rolled on his part when I was just trying to get the mess cleaned up and my client started…when I came into Jody’s salon this morning to talk about my paycheck which for 2 weeks should come out to around $540 I received $357, the owner (Jody) cut me off and told me that maybe it’s a good thing I’m leaving because she isn’t getting from me what she needs, but yet I’m supposed to be under paid and do everything for her? When I arrived home this morning my mother called the salon to ask why my hours weren’t adding up to my pay check, Jody told my mom I was a liar!

Kelsey is really such an amazing stylist at the salon! Nick at the front desk was able to squeeze me in last minute and it was such an amazing experience.
Kelsey is friendly, knowledgeable, and cares about how you want your hair! She did an amazing cut and blow dry and left my hair feeling healthy and great. Nick was so warm and welcoming and considerate.
Definitely my go-to salon for any hair needs!

Brought my severely autistic child to Liz who is excellent with children. She is especially kind, gentle, and accommodating to my daughter. The owner is wonderful too! He made both of my kids balloon animals. We will definitely be back.

I had my hair cut and colored by Kelsy at Jody's salon and had an awesome experience. I went there because they use Aveda hair products, which I love. She listened to what I wanted and did a great job with my hair. She even toned my few highlights darker on a second visit for free, when I didn't like the shade I initially chose! Kelsy is very pleasant, and so are Jody, the owner of the salon and her husband - who plays great music and makes you feel comfortable. Overall, I highly recommend this family owned cute salon in Hamilton.

I have been Jody's client for at least 15 years. She is kind, consistent and talented. I am not a salon person and enjoy being in the environment she and her husband Nick have created. I have referred family and friends to Jody and they have also become return clients. My niece visits Jody when she is in the area from Boston. It is one less thing to worry about when you have a hair stylist you can depend on. Thanks for everything, Jody and Nick!!

I have very curly, corse, dry hair And color it often. Jody's uses organic coloring. Since I've been going to Jody's my hair has been softer with great body. I love it! I blow it straight all the time and am just loving it . The salon is charming and they make you feel like family. Ask for Kelsey . You won't regret it. I drive an hour just to come to this Salon.

Loved my first experience at Jody's Salon! Nick was so friendly on the phone while I made my appointment. The salon itself is super cute with lots of plants. I was greeted by lovely Jody who offered me water/tea. Kelsey did my hair and she was wonderful. Will definitely be back!Service: Haircut
