The Best!!! Have been a patient for many years and will never go anywhere else. Dr Spivak and Dr Welsch are both excellent and Ken is fantastic as far as picking out frames, etc. The staff gets back to you in a timely manner and they will handle any issues if they arise.

3 visits and my glasses prescription is still incorrect!! First visit the employees were rude and unprofessional. I let that go thinking everyone has bad days right ?! Wrong! Second visit bc my prescription was wrong , still met with rude and unprofessional employees. At the first two visits I tried asking questions and explain my vision situation and both times I was ignored and no responses. Now back for the third time and the prescription is still wrong !! I would not recommend coming here!

Worst experience with eyeglasses ever. First their $69 eye exam was $200. Paid another $200 for lens. The new lens were so bad I couldn't see. Contacted the store about getting my old lens back as well as frames that I dropped off to be made into sunglasses. Old lens ruined by black ink or paint? Customer service will not refund my credit card (they dont take cash or checks) for the sunglass lens which were never ordered. Extremely rude. $600 later and I still do not have a pair of glasses I can see out of!!!

If you're a patient, I hope you get to meet Gwen. If you're an employer, get you a Gwen. This sweet soul went far out of her way to accommodate my difficult schedule, made sure I didn't go blind, and had some one curb drop off my contacts because I am always with my plethora of children. When I say tears of gratitude I mean a waterfall. Get this lass a raise!

I've been going to a Sterling Optical for years and highly recommend. Dr Spivack is great and always takes his time with me and my family during our appointments. Very knowledgeable and thorough. The staff is also very courteous and knowledgeable as well. They have a great variety of frames (including children's) and the use the most recent technology for the exams.

I’m sorry. But Ken aside, your staff there is so cold and uncaring sounding. Seems like they are always having a bad day and almost always have an attitude and disinterested. I have been going to you for over 8 years but I’m afraid this will be my last year once Ken Retires. There is one female working there that I swear hates her job. Never smiles. Never feels warm. Always seems bothered. There is no way the main optometrist doesn’t know who I’m talking about. And the main guy there is pretty cool but when I am being helped I don’t like to feel like I am being annoying to her. She must be related cause there’s no way the main guy there or owner would accept this.

My 26-year-old who was a full-time student and recently graduated from Stockton University with her Master's Degree in Social Work, made an appointment with Sterling Optical in Deptford, New Jersey. She went into the office/store on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 to schedule a new patient appointment; the receptionist was very nice and pleasant until my daughter presented her insurance card and then the receptionist's entire demeanor changed and told her that the doctor who takes that kind of insurance is only in on Saturday's and she would put her in for 11:15 a.m. The receptionist did not even give her an option to schedule a time. My daughter's insurance is New Jersey Family Care and she receives this insurance because she is no longer eligible under mine and my husband's private insurance because of age restriction. Again she just graduated college and has not been able to obtain private insurance of her own yet. In any event, my daughter went to her scheduled appointment today, the receptionist was a different woman who was very pleasant and welcoming. My daughter was observing the people and employees around her in the store, it seemed nice and the doctor was just finishing up with a husband/wife who were spent $500.00 on glasses, etc. (apparently there is no privacy laws observed in this facility); the doctor was very pleasant with the husband/wife. However, the next patient before and the next patient after my daughter and along with my daughter, the doctor was very cold and did not explain anything; she said that he treated them like it was a cattle call!! The doctor did not explain anything to my daughter, he didn't give her an option to ask any questions and would get annoyed with her - he treated her like she was just another number! I have never been so disgusted in my life!! What a lesson for a new social worker to receive of how people who are classified in the "system" are really treated!! I know this is not the first time patients have been treated this way at this office as I have gone on-line and read reviews. I have every intention of bringing this information not only to the State but the public as well. The facility needs to clean up its act and maybe take some lessons in how to treat people.

Went there recently for an eye exam, but didn’t like any of the frames, so I ordered frames and lenses from an online company with Sterling’s prescription. Glasses came back with the right eye blurry. Took the glasses to Sterling to see if the online place got the script wrong, but they checked the glasses and they were correct. I asked to speak to the Optometrist about the problem , but was told he wasn’t available, but that he would call me to discuss. Never got a call. They seemed very unhelpful based on the fact I didn’t get my glasses from them.
