“Love this food pantry out of all the pantries in Monmouth County. they not only have a complete whole food pantry but provide services for therapy, art classes, and many other services. There’s a big thrift store as well as a huge dining room that serves daily breakfast and lunch. They accept donations for food and clothes. food pantry, and thrift store hours vary so make sure to call them first.”
“There are many music programs, but there is only one Rockit Academy which is, by far, the best music education organization in NJ. Rockit is for the young musician that aspires and is dedicated to being their best and wants to be part of a group of young musicians that share that same passion. The instructors work 1 on 1 and in band situations to develop musicians to play the right way, build confidence and push students beyond their comfort zone. Beyond that, the musicians inspire each other in a way that brings out their best for their performances.
My son started Rockit in the middle of his freshman year. The growth as a musician and performer that he experienced in his time at Rockit prepared him to follow his passion into college where he continues to elevate is ability. Simply put, he would not be the musician he is and would not have the foundation to build his future on without the instruction and opportunity he had at Rockit.
Rockit is a difference maker in a young musician's trajectory. To be the best, you need to learn from and play with the best. There are countless success stories, countless developmental experiences and no better program to prepare young musicians for whatever their next step is after high school.”
“If you're looking for swim lessons, I can't recommend the Red Bank YMCA enough! Both of my kids (6 and 3) have gone through their program, and we've had the most amazing experience with Miss Marie. She’s incredibly patient and kind, making the lessons fun and confidence-building. I truly can’t imagine taking them anywhere else!”
“We went to a class reunion and it was just so lovely we were down by the water they had fire going the food was fab and we had a waitress her name was Ellen and she was fabulous”

“Louraine’s love and dedication for these dogs compares to no other. She insures each dog is taken care of by the best vets, kennel techs, and volunteers 24/7. Husky House goes through a very thorough adoption process that I admire. This is to ensure the best outcome for the adoptable dog to finding their forever home. I will never understand why there are negative reviews. Be mad at the irresponsible owner who put their dog in this situation to begin with! Louraine is the one that steps up every time and is the biggest loudest voice for these dogs! Instead of bad mouthing Husky House or any rescue for that matter, be mad at the backyard breeders, puppy stores, puppy mills, and abusers! Stop being mad because they didn’t think you were the right fit! Maybe instead of taking the time to write a negative comment, take the time and volunteer! Witness a portion of what it’s like not everything is all joy and playing with puppies! Then maybe you will see why Husky House cares so much!!! And most of all why I LOVE THEM ❤️”
“This local church thrift store is truly a hidden gem! Been coming here for years with my family. The prices are refreshingly affordable, fair, and nothing like the price gouging you see at places like Goodwill these days.
What makes it even more special is that it’s completely run by volunteers who genuinely care about the community. Everyone is kind, welcoming, and always willing to help.
Great finds, great prices, and a great cause. Can’t recommend this place enough.”
“We did my son’s repass here. Conveniently located across St James Catholic Church.Ken who was in charge was very kind and helpful during this difficult time. He made sure every details were taking care of so we didn’t have to. Fair pricing as well.”
“I adopted my pup through Louie's two years ago. The sense of community and support was apparent immediately! They got to know me and what I was looking for in my next family member. To be totally honest, I was terrified as a first time dog owner! Everyone I spoke to made me feel confident and excited in my decision. Fast forward two years, my pup is the best the best thing I could have ever done for myself! I started volunteering with the rescue shortly after adopting her - and the care, support, and genuine passion for the animals is nothing short of inspiring. I can't recommend enough”
“Love this place! I hate anything remotely related to doctors but the staff made it SO easy. The place is clean the atmosphere is nice and bright and once again the staff couldn’t be any better! I will definitely continue going there in the future when necessary.”
“I am retired and looking to rejoin the work force. The pandemic has resulted in agencies being closed to the public. Thus, you have to use websites to access their human resources. Catholic Charities is in the heart ❤️ of Perth Amboy. It's vital to the community. The receptionist was helpful, and staff appeared very busy. It would be nice to see this agency in a new state of the arts upgraded building. It would be most deserving.”
“This is a safe sanctuary where I did not want to go. I went in and felt cautious, but was welcomed with open arms. I was treated with respect even when I felt I did not deserve it. My counselor Lora believed in me and saved me when I was at the lowest point of my life. She showed me a sort of compassion and understanding that I never knew possible and believed in me when no one else did. It saved my life and pushed me to be a better man. I will be grateful for all eternity.”
“The YMCA is a great place for all families to go they have activities for the children teenagers adults they have Zumba classes yoga classes weight rooms and to play basketball ballet classes arts and crafts for the children and a swimming ?♂️ pool as well as swimming lessons for those that want to learn to swim and a children park and playground on the left side of the YMCA and the schools also have programs for the special needs children although the Guardians that supposed to be watching the children need to pay more attention to the children than to socialize with each other the special needs children do have fun and that really put a smile on my face but the only thing that really concerns me is that their water fountains does not have filters the water literally has a smell coming out of it because when I drank it it really left me dehydrated for a few hours I mean it's not so hard to put filters in those water fountains they need to keep the water clean and then you have the automatic door opener for the handicapped for people that are working with canes crutches or wheelchairs because for one to constantly pull that heavy door open just to walk in is a problem I mean they have an automatic door opener and it hasn't been working for weeks why do they continue to ignore that knowing that's very important they need to attend to those little things it not a big job but it's very important to maintain those are the only two problems that should be taken care of quickly but other than that the staff and the people that work there are wonderful the people they're always greet you with a smile and with positive attitudes and it just makes you feel wanted the YMCA is a happy place to be and they make you feel part of a family they have plenty of parking and plenty of handicapped ♿ parking as well but the water fountains and the handicap automatic door opener need to be attended to as soon as possible and they also want to charge there members a locker fee wich i find very unfair to do to the members they pay enough money to join the YMCA why charge the members a locker fee when the members should have access to free locker and not charge talk about highway Robbery to all members knowing No other gym does this to there members NOT cool at all to do that need to change A.S.A.P I give them a C+ and I hope they attend to the little things fast to get that A++”
“Excellent!!! Love the veterans, friends, family, and bartenders at the American Legion ❤️ There are $2 beers and Great live band performances on the weekend!”
