I have been going to this store for years. I used to love this store. In the last year it has falling because the customers are out of control. There is no organization anymore. When the employees bring out the merchandise the customers rush the cart's terribly. They hang at the warehouse entrance. The employees cannot even put the merchandise away so the regular customers get what's left over. Very unfair to the customers and nobody says anything to them. I go to other thrift stores and this would never be tolerated. Needs better management. I don't find the nice things I use to because they don't make it to the shelves. I started going elsewhere. Sorry

*Updated April 2024* this store has gone way down hill. There hasn't been fitting rooms for months, prices have gone up considerably, store is not as clean as it used to be, broken overpriced items on shelves, hardly any good quality brand name clothing on racks. It's a shame, I would frequent this thrift shop a few days a week in the past and bring home so many great finds. I doubt I'll be back to this one.

I love this store, where I find the decoration that I love at good prices, I find vintage pieces and pieces to decorate my Farmhouse style house. The store is well organized, clean… I love it, I love it. I recommend it 100%.

Definitely a honey-hole. Lots of treasures to be found here, and on quite a few occasions so far, I've spent a few hours here picking.I can't really say much negative about this place, BUT...I don't buy jeans here, despite the great finds, because their is no fitting room. Also, their furniture section leaves much to be desired.

It’s a very organized thrift store but it’s nothing to buy there. Everything is overpriced. For that kind of price, go to Marshalls or tj maxx instead. Will not be going back

Being that this is a thrift store their prices are very high and they have now removed their dressing rooms which has lead me to the decision to no longer shop here as you can’t try on clothes anymore. And they only off store credit so what’s even the point of shopping here anymore? I want to be able to get my money back if something doesn’t fit me, not a store credit. Absolutely ridiculous honestly!

This place is so over priced. What a joke all these “thrift shops” have become. Why don’t you clean up your parking lot since you’re making all that money.

There were creepy people sitting in the back of the store starting at me. I don’t know what they were doing there, didn’t seem like they work there.I was also expecting better prices.

it was my first time here. The store is very organized and prices are fair. I'm only giving it 2 stars because of the vultures waiting for the workers with the merchandise carts. As the workers came out to restock the shelves. they grabbed and picked the cart taking items they might be interested in like a bunch of crack heads. What a turn off! Management needs to restore order and set some boundaries. Someone is going to get hurt at this store. I don't think I'll be back anytime soon.

My daughter & I came here. It was our first time thrifting. I must admit, I had very low expectations & only gave it a shot because my teenage daughter kept asking if we could go. I was pleasantly surprised!! It was very neat & organized. I found myself consumed with the books section while my daughter did her thing in the clothing section. I managed to find 2 really good books & I'm pretty sure I could've found even more had that section not been so crowded. My daughter did very well & found jeans, a few really cute tops, hoodies & joggers. I didn't find the prices to be outlandish. I spent $126 on everything. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase!! Oh & please note, like grocery stores in NJ, they do not provide bags so make sure you bring your own!!

This place used to be ok. Now there's a team of resellers that stand by the warehouse door all day every day and scrap with each other to clear the bins before they hit the shelves. They grab amp and everything, put it in there carts and look it up on their phones to see if it can be profited on. I'm an avid thrifter. In no other thrift would this be allowed. It's gross. Who wants to shop where the stuff gets filtered by a team of vultures before it hits the floor. I've seen employees come out of the back and hand merchandise to these people, that's a terrible way to run a business. Managers should all be fired. I tried leaving zero stars but the one is so it gets published

2nd Avenue Thrift on Morris Avenue in Union, New Jersey was once a thrifter’s dream come true. I even used to stop in here more than once a day. However after the operation was acquired by Savers in the latter half of 2022 it has become a literal junk shop. Anything of even nominal value is culled out of the Green Drop donation system by Savers and those better items obviously never make it to the retail sales floor. This Union, NJ former bustling location will certainly have to close soon because it’s once booming and very busy sales registers are now pretty lethargic and empty. I was told Savers bought the 2nd Avenue thrift store chain for their very lucrative Green Drop donation collection system anyway so I’m sure they don’t care if their doomed retail stores close.
