I waited until I received my glasses to submit this review.I had to ask each technician who saw us, if the machines had been cleaned before we placed our faces on the machines.The first young lady was amazing. The Doctor did not check the chart notes and I had to tell her my son was autistic for her to adjust her approach. The place is not clean, the front door had fingerprints galore and the counters are not clean. I called today because not even 24 hours, the eyeglasses fell off my face and the lens popped out. Now it’s a big production to have it replaced. Do yourself a favor and go to the location in Kearny.

So I came in about 45 mins before closing and there was few ppl in there when I walked in they were only 2 ladies 2 serving everyone and they did very well with that. I didn’t not have to wait long at all. Monica 1 of the 2 helped me majority of my visit and answered all my questions and informed me of things I didn’t not know or think to ask which helped me make the decisions to save the most money. I went ahead and bought a year supply of contacts instead of 3 months. I also Found a pair of glasses that I liked that were there at the store that I didn’t notice were there my previous visit because before I was looking in the wrong section for the style I wanted but Monica showed me the right section. She informed me of different contact solutions to use as well ( don’t get the ones from the dollar store, like I almost did.) she also told me everything I needed to know on how to care for my contacts.She also even asked me if certain things were done on my previous visit to make sure I had everything I needed done for the future. I would recommend this store others 100 percent it was great customer service And hopefully those I recommend this store to are also served by Monica and Natalya or even the day time people like Ziggy who I met on my previous visit who also was informative of the questions I had at that time when I had my exam. I really appreciate all the help I was given and I feel it was money well spent. Side Note i also paid for the eye care club where my next eye exams over the next 3 years are already paid for.

The service is horrible nowadays. The wait feels forever when you’re 15mins earlier than your appointment. Was seen for both glasses and contacts. Was told to call in after a week of wearing the contact to let the office know if they were comfortable or not. When I called, I was told I had to come in. When I came in, didn’t have to be reexamined, so it was a waste of my time. I had a $16 bal, which could’ve been collected when I picked up the contacts (which I have yet to receive and it’s been about 30 days). They don’t greet you or even acknowledge you when you come through the doors. The manager (didn’t get her name, tall African American fair skin woman), her attitude was horrific—rushes you and speaks condescendingly. The sales rep, I believe named Ziggy— attitude so gross it felt like I was bothering him when I asked any question about the frames. Nonetheless, I spent $560 on 4 frames and paid a $16 bal from my insurance covering the contacts. Been a shopper for 3yrs in a row now however, will be taking my business, elsewhere and will definitely tell family and friends. It’s been a month and have not received my contacts. No follow up call or nothing. This isn’t service. Never spending a red cent there again.

Do not waste your time and money!My prescription was manufactured wrong. The store refused to fix it and only accepted a return. The employees practices are for no customer service, they took days to process my return, therefore I could not order from a decent optical store until the insurance received the return (which could have been processed immediately upon return). Nasty service! Not worth cost/benefit.Forgot to mention that it took me forever to get the glasses; they took my phone number wrong and didn’t bother to email me to tell they were ready.

I love my new glasses! Staff was very helpful! I had originally left and went somewhere else.. did jot like their service or their glasses! So I came back to my spot.. and her I will stay! Thank you again for great service!

Such a wonderful experience. EVERYONE from the front desk person, to Shayna the tech, to the wonderful doctor that was so thorough and informative and finally MONICA, she’s the manager to my surprise. From the beginning checking to see if she could offer the front desk person(so kind as well. I wish I knew her name)help to better assist me. Going above and beyond to help my unprepared self find my insurance number. This was BEFORE I knew she was the manager. Just PHENOMENAL the ENTIRE staff. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. ?

I had a great experience. My 13 year old son needed an eye exam and some new glasses. The appointment set up was effortless. They kept making sure I was aware of my appointment date and time as to not miss it. I was taken care of by Ziggy. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Let me know all the options available to me to make the best decision possible for my son and his day to day activities. Everything from the front desk staff, the doctor and Ziggy were on point. I will be coming back and recommend this location.

I’ve been coming here for a few years and Ziggy has helped me 2 years in a row. With so many frames to choose from his patience is greatly appreciated. His honest opinion on the styles that fit my face has been spot on. Whenever I have my glasses on I get multiple compliments.

Doctors are fine but staff are so rude like they even don’t want to show me the frames like how I supposed to choose if if I can’t try on. Also when i made an appointment they pulled my insurance and all information was printed on the paper at the check in time. How come she spent like 20 minutes and say she can not find it and later on with another person help she pulled it out.they are extremely unprofessional. I am not gonna come back to this place.

I made a total of 5 purchases from this location on 08.25.2023. On 09.04. 2023 I started receiving text about part of my order being ready to be picked up. I decided to wait till the full order was availalbe as I didn't want to have to go multiple times. A couple of day in the week I called to see if my daughters glasses had arrive as they were still missing 1 of her glasses. I kept being told they arrive but haven't been checked in. Instead of me getting a call to advise the status. I called on 09.14.2023 to see what was the status. I was told that the glasses never came in and they don't know what happen. Monica who I was told was the supervisor was to call me the next day with an update the following day. Monica did call but just with the same information that I was given the day before. No other info was given until I asked "what then" which I was told I would have to wait 7-10 business days for them to place and receive the order. Why do I need to wait that long when I was not the one that did not follow up with what was going on with the order? Especially when I kept calling? At the end of the call, I advise I will be going tomorrow which tomorrow meant Saturday. I asked if Monica will be there and she said she would. I go Saturday 09.16.2023 and what a surprise, Monica was not available. First I am told she stepped away for a few. Then I was told she left for the day. Out of 5 or 6 staff people there not one can process a refund. So now what??? It is not the matter that it may have been a human error it is the matter of the service you received when the location that is providing the service treats you like your business don't matter. I paid for the product.. It was not a pay when you arrive to pick up. So what options do American Best in Union NJ provides when the customer do not receive what they pay for. Very disappointed.Update: From when I added the review till now I received a voicemail from Monica giving several excuses and pretty much stating the staff lied to me when I was there (voicemail which I still have). My husband even spoke to her and advise the reorder ing of the glasses that were missing. Today 10.07.2023 we go to picked them up as I called last week and was told they had them. Guess what??? No glasses due to another mishap. What a surprise. Now they want to process a refund.. Let's see if they can manage to process the refund correctly as I will also be looking into this. Very unprofessional Monica.

This place is horrendous. The customer service is "TERRIBLE". I took my eye prescription in last week and the associate was VERY RUDE. Quite naturally, it was somewhat busy, however when I was "summoned" for service, I thought I was being "punked" so-to-speak. The associate gave the impression that my out-of-pocket expense would be an enormous amount since my insurance company only paid a percentage of the cost. To make matters worst, the tone, the lack of professionalism and active listening skills were not displayed. Customers expect to receive the most rewarding experience no matter where they go.

I have been an America’s best client for more than 10 years. My last experience has been terrible. I ordered two pairs of glasses that cost me a little over $650. When my glasses came in both pairs, seem to have one wavy spot in the middle of the lens. I brought the glasses back and they took them in to replace the lenses. Yesterday I went in to pick up my glasses, and there is still a wavy spot in the center of the lens. I explain this to the girl who was waiting on me. She told me that they would not replace the lens again that they would only fix it one time.I wish I knew the girls name who took care of me. She had long red hair. She was very condescending and extremely rude. I will not be going back to America’s best. My glasses are useless and so was the sales rep.

I recently went to America's Best Allen location. Ive worn glasses my whole life so have been to many many different places for eye wear. I must say this was the best experience I've ever had getting glasses! Laci was the amazing tech that helped me through the whole process. She was professional, attentive, and friendly. She made the whole process easy and seamless, even when I had a hiccup with the local eye doctor who had written my prescription wrong. Next year I will definitely be using America's Best for the whole process, not just picking out my glasses! Highly recommend!
