I am writing this review to detail a severely negative and harmful experience at Dory Hair Creation.
Chemical Burn: During the bleaching service, the staff was negligent with the application and monitoring of the chemical products. This resulted in a painful chemical burn to my scalp and hairline, which is visible in the attached photos. This is a serious failure in professional conduct.
Horrible Hair Services: The bleaching and color service itself was extremely poor quality. The result is patchy, unevenly lifted hair with noticeable yellow/orange tones, which is unacceptable for a professional salon.
Price Gouging: I was charged an excessive price for a service that resulted in both a physical injury and a severely unsatisfactory hair color job.
The combination of an immediate injury from negligence, extremely poor technical skill, and excessive pricing makes this one of the worst and most concerning salon experiences I have ever had. Potential customers should be aware of these serious issues.

I could not wait to get home to write my review! This beauty salon get 10 stars from me , there welcoming , every one does hair nice , my stylist was Justine she took care of my hair so well she was very careful and professional and did not over heat my hair I felt so pampered 😊 this is my new to go to for now on , the owner is so nice ! I can’t say anything bad about their service at all and I am very particular , I’m sold ! !!! Thank you Dory 😍

DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!! My daughter, my son, (with coarse and bi-racial hair textures) my besties, and I have been going to Dory for about 5yrs now. She is a hidden jewel!! She works with ALL hair types . Her mom is just as amazing as she is! They are very pleasant and her shop is SPOTLESS!!! Make an appointment and she will serve you with grace and gratitude!! She works on your hair just like the professional she is. They are bilingual so there are no language barriers. She works with clients regarding times and schedules just be aware that you should make an appointment and not just walk-in . If you want to get SLAYED THIS IS THE SALON YOU NEED!! ALL AGES AND ALL HAIR TYPES ACCEPTED!! BE BLESSED!!

Wow. Dory’s Saloon is 10/10.
I went to Dory when my hair was badly damaged, fallen off and I had given up already. She treated my hair like it was her own hair. She used top notch hair products to revamp my hair in just few visits. She even recommended what to use on my hair at home on a daily basis. Today, I am very happy. My hair is not only back to life but bouncy and healthy. I have recommended Dory’s to my friends/families and they all have reported wonderful experiences. Dory and ALL her staff are very welcoming, polite and highly professional. The Saloon is modern and super clean. I normally travel some distance to get to Dory but It is worth every bit of my time. I ❤️Dory Saloon.

I've been a client of Dory for years. My hair is thick, long and course. While I usually wear my hair naturally curly, there are times when I need a more tailored look. This usually including a good wash, color, trim, flat ironing, and luscious curls—and Dory always delivers results. The salon is clean, spacious, professional, and welcoming. Her prices are reasonable, and scheduling an appointment is as simple as calling the shop. Don't sleep on Dory Creations, they don't disappoint!

Dory’s has been my go to salon for straightening my natural for almost 10 years! The owner is super friendly and everyone on her staff does an amazing job! I am all natural with mid back length hair and this has been the only place to ever get my hair perfectly straight with no heat damage. Products are top notch and keep my hair healthy!

After being traumatized in Newark by a Dominican salon, I thought I'd never go back to another one. My sister talked me into going, and I'm glad. My hair looks AMAZING!!!!!!!! It's nice and relaxing during your service. I don't see anything going on other than what they are supposed to do. So glag I listened and gave them a try. ❤️ is so true when said, "You get what you pay for"

BEST HAIR SALON IN UNION! Dory is an amazing hairstylist she’s the sweetest person treats you like family very caring and kind,from the moment I walked in she was very friendly and listened to what I wanted done. She was very honest with me about the hair color I wanted done and advised me to go with the color I already had and just add highlights. I must say she did an outstanding job! I highly recommend her she just gained a loyal client all the way from florida. Thank you so much Dory! ❤️
