This Total Wine location on Route 22 is the definition of taking things way too seriously. My friends (who are all 23+) picked me up from GameStop, and we stopped in so they could grab some beer. I’m literally a month away from 21, and as soon as they saw I was with them, they refused service to the entire group. I even tried to leave and wait in the car, but nope apparently, my presence alone was enough to shut everything down.
I get following the rules, but the guy enforcing them acted like he was Total Wine itself. Bro, this is a massive franchise with 200+ locations, not your personal liquor kingdom. The whole interaction was just so unnecessary and rigid, like, we are all just floating on a rock in the middle of space...relax. A little common sense and humanity wouldn’t hurt.

Let me start by saying I have been a Total Wine patron for over 7 years in another state. After moving to Pa, I have to drive to north NJ to the closest store. After purchasing several bottle of wine, I have just opened my THIRD with a rotted cork. Corks disintegrate and immediately fall into the bottle so the wine is undrinkeable. This store clearly does not store wine correctly before they put in on the shelf, or they get deep discounts for buying wine that is known to have issues. I never had ONE bottle do this in my home state so clearly it is something THIS store is doing. I will never take the horrendous drive through hours of traffic to go here ever again. Save your gas and wine money and go elsewhere!

I was trying to buy a a small six pack for myself but the manager wanted to ID one of my friends who wasn’t even going to drink these, as these were for myself. But the manager insisted on ID’ing my friends and I and just because one of my friends who is less than 30 days of turning 21, the manager decided to be a douche and not serve me. If you ask me I think he was racially profiling my friend because he is black. DO NOT GIVE THESE RACISTS YOUR BUSINESS SHOP ELSEWHERE

I only put one star because they wouldn’t let me put zero… BUT if your a person of color do not come to this location. They was already on me and my bf before we got the wine. He was buying it but they NEEDED my id, then they wouldn’t let me use a picture because it was id. I get where they was going but it gave two young black people going into a store and they just plum out didn’t want to sell to us.

Total Wine is amazing! Especially if you just want to buy cheap wine for cooking. And the Soju 소 주 is way better, in price, if you are buying it to drink or for medicinal purposes, even if the alcohol volume is 13.8%. At least you won’t get a headache. It used to be called Akju 약 주. In any case, they just have a huge selection of anything you can think of: Lemoncello, Ouzo, whisky, wine…

Went to buy a bottle of bourbon, employee recommended a bottle as his “go to”. I’ve tasted better paint thinner. Go there knowing what you like and ignore employee recommendations. They just want to move product. The Walmart of liquor stores.

Nice for what you need. But PARKING is very hectic. While there is plenty of parking most people us the path way to exit into rt 22 which makes it hard to get out. Better off parking in the HUGE lot of Walmart and walk to store.

We worked with Peter and Sheila to finalize the alcohol order for our wedding in June 2024, and they were such a pleasure to work with.
Sheila provided recommendations on what and how much to order, suggesting ways to save money and alternatives to expensive crowd pleasers. Their team dropped off the order at our venue on time, and they were helpful when we returned the unused bottles, saving us a ton of money.
HIGHLY recommend!
