Do not trust the contract on a form you would be charged whatever they need to charge. When you are on travel you will spend many transactions with your card. Please beware Hertz.
They are supposed to give me back the prepaid rent fee, I returned car in 5 days earlier than I am supposed to return. The white lady looked at myself Asian woman she will refund money back to my card. I have not received the money back after 11 days now.
However, I was charged toll fee. I have never drove to New York City. They charged me 73 transactions $337.87 highway, bridges and tunnels fee as my toll bill. They asked me to prove it that I have never went to those toll way bridges and tunnels when I called. You must prove it was not you, maybe somebody else drove?

Stay away from this place. 2 ladies over there donโt want to work. Booked a prepaid reservation over 3 weeks ago. When went to pick up they had sign on door no cars available. There is no respect here, they end up giving EV, car was not cleaned and carpets were dirty.

Amazing amazing customer service I had great experience with them both of the ladies are really really nice and helpful I would rent again with them the manger could help then with a cleaner for the cars but expect of that amazing ๐

Horrible service.... Avoid using this car rental.... Women turned to next customer before finishing with us....There were no cars in the lot but I wasn't told when there would be one coming.... Representative barely would look at me or answer my questions.... Total disgrace.

I reserved my rental well over a week ago for 4:30 pick up. Called them 4 times the morning of (this morning) with NO ANSWER for the first three calls. 4th call, answered, left me on hold nearly 20 minutes. All I was trying to do was notify them I may be 30 minutes late.. their policy says theyโll hold the rental for up to an hour even if you donโt call, but, I was trying to be courteous. Fast forward to 4:10 pm when a woman called me saying โwill you be here by 4:30? Weโre closing early due to extreme weather, leaving at 5.โ (yeah from an air conditioned building, Iโm sure) I did inform her I tried to call numerous times to no avail. I told her at 4:10 โokay Iโll leave right now and be there in less than 30 minutesโ got there at 4:40 to the building locked and employees gone.
Thankfully, Enterprise in Wayne, NJ was happy to help, went above and beyond to accommodate my last minute needs. Hertz rental in upper saddle River?? Negative 1 star if that were possible.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Me and my girlfriend had a car rental reservation for 4:30pm today. We both got tied up at work a bit longer than expected. We tried to call in the morning 4 times to let them know we would be about 30 mins late (we figured would not be a big deal since they are
Open till 6pm!) Well they call at 4:10 to let us know they are closing at 5pm due to extreme weather! Huh? Is there no working air conditioner? My girlfriend frantically leaves work at 4:10pm after telling the woman she would be there around 4:40 (still allowing 20 minutes for rental) drives all the way there rushing for 30 mins to get to the location and they closed and screwed us out of our rental!
Called enterprise they got us right in with a packed house! Do not waste your time with this location! I understand us cutting it close to 5pm however you are open till 6pm! Do better hertz

I make the reservations for a compact car when I came to pick up the car the manager by the desk pushed me to upgrade the car to a Ford Explorer for a so called good deal when I took the car I saw that the inspection is already expired for over six months Which is totally illegal, and I got pulled by a State trooper for that.... when I returned the car the guy at the front desk didn't want to give me any refund for that inconvenience, he said that the manager will call me and I'm still waiting for the call๐
a expired inspection means that they don't care on the car maintenance, make sure before you take a car that the car is legal on the road because they are not making sure

Tried to contact them by phone but their number repeatedly me to website which had me reserve a car when I arrive they had no cars total scam!!! Guy was pretty obnoxious lecturing me on how it was my fault because I had reserved by website so close to picking up. Iโd avoid making a reservation here under any circumstances.

As much as I enjoyed working with the team at Upper Saddle River NJ, I wouldnโt recommend this company only because of their ridiculous โconvenienceโ fees on tolls which pretty much equal the tolls fees. So if you have collected $100 in tolls during your rental you will receive a bill of $200. Yes, you are paying additional $100 on top of paying for the tolls.
Reached out, was promised a partial refund and then got ghosted:)
