Food was very good; however, I had the risotto and it was a bit starchy because it was overcooked.

Awesome. They need to get better bread.

I have been to Aroma twice in the past 2 months to dine at their 3 courses for $30 special. What's great about that is you get to choose from the whole menu not just a selected menu (1 or 2 items excluded)... The burrata and prosciutto with fig balsamic glaze...OMG! The Veal Oscar again so delicious, grilled octopus appetizer... I could just go on! Definitely worth a try!!! It is also BYOB. The food was absolutely delicious!!! Oh, and don't forget about dessert... yummy!!!

The food here was great! Because of the off-season, they are doing a prix-fixe menu but you are allowed to pick anything off the regular menu, barring one item. It's a great deal. I highly recommend the octopus appetizer and the short rib. The octopus is so tender and the short rib over mushroom risotto is divine! My boyfriend had the veal scallopini and that was great too. I can't say enough good things and the price was right. BYOB, italian food is always better with a glass of wine!

This was our 2nd time here. 1st time was a total disaster. Food, service, etc....truly bad. So we decided to give them another chance. Food not good. Yet again the way the food is described on the menu is not what you get and the taste is non existent! Service only ok, had to ask our waiter for bread 4 times! Our appetizers were almost finished before we finally got bread. The place was empty for a Saturday night, only 3 tables.....that should’ve been a clue! Dessert was actually good. And it is a little pricey for normal Italian dishes and being a byob and cash only!! Prices should reflect that. Last time we will go there.

My husband and I had a delicious dinner here! He had the Bronzino which was filleted and I had the salmon, both were wonderful dinners . We shared a Caesar salad which was also very good. We loved the bread they served with dinner and the Tiramisu was excellent! Our service was great as we sat outside ! We definitely would dine here again!!

The service was great, the beet salad was tasty and shareable and the lobster ravioli was delicious. Will come again.

What an experience! We had a reservation Saturday at 7:45 PM for 4. We sat on the sidewalk. Server came and took our orders at 8:15 PM. At 9:00 PM we hadn't even been served our appetizers! The waiter kept coming and asked if we had been served -- NO! We left at 9:15 PM with still NO SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The other couples on the sidewalk were also without food - everyone complaining. Don't imagine that this place will be around long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm only posting this so that perhaps the restaurant can adjust its food preparation. It's a long time since I had to send food back, but when you pay $80 for dinner, you expect flavor and not just salt. I had to send the cream of broccoli soup back as it was cold and so salty, that it was inedible. The pasta dish was on the menu as "wheat penne" but came out as regular penne, with no explanation for the change. The dish had peas and asparagus and again had no flavor, but just overwhelmed with salt. The only redeeming feature was the friendly service. Salt is not a substitute for flavor and I hope they can adjust the way they make the food.

Aroma advertises as a somewhat upscale Italian joint in Ventnor City. My company at the dinner and I had the octopus appetizer along with the prosciutto, burrata, and Roma tomato appetizer. We also each had a pasta dish (I went with the short rib with cream sauce and she the seafood fettuccini). The chefs at Aroma clearly have an idea as to what dishes they want to create, the plating is deliberate and pleasant, but the ingredients are lacking. For a self-described upscale Italian place, there are some areas that cannot be overlooked or skimped. However, the olive oil was tasteless, the pasta was homemade but over-cooked, both the fettuccini and my dish were totally forgettable in terms of having a standout quality, and, finally, the tomatoes were mealy and underripe. Bread and desserts were exceptional. The restaurant can get a little loud and cramped indoors at peak hours, but, becomes a very lovely space once the large parties have cleared out. Certainly worth a try if you’re in Ventnor City and don’t want to venture to Atlantic City. I’m hoping I caught them on an off night.

My boyfriend, his parents, and myself went there on July 4th for dinner. We sat outside and were immediately greeted by our server. He was friendly but distracted. Half way through telling us about the specials, he stopped, walked away without any notice, and then came back a minute later. He continued talking as if he never left. It was a very odd interaction.

Overall very good food. Bread and olive oil were great along with our starters of burrata, caprese, and calimari. Burrata was best out of all of those. Additionally, and unexpectedly, the veggies of the day were fantastic. We got the mushroom gnocchi for dinner along with a beet salad and it did not disappoint.

Cash only without mention on open tables. Bronzino was smelling and you need to fillet yourself. Pasta was ok. Burrata was good but the prosciutto was low quality. Doubt I’ll be back.

Great food and very attentive staff. They all worked as a team.

This place won't last the summer. Octopus appetizer was nice, a tender tentacle atop a bed of saffrony broccoli rabe. The salads were fresh, though the arugula and beet salad was possibly the most overwhelmingly oregano-heavy dish I've ever tasted, which just makes for a really weird salad. (Also, $3 charge to split a salad in the kitchen? Do they even know whom they're catering to? Laughable.) The mains are where things really began to unravel... Pasta was cooked al dente, but it was pretty flavorless. Most of it swims in watery, acidic tomato sauce. Scallops in the linguine dish were fishy and off-putting. The chicken roma was an absolute embarrassment - just a scorched, dry, tortured breast inferior to routine weeknight home cooking in every way. The risotto with crab was ably prepared, arguably the hardest thing about risotto, but there was absurdly little crab to be found. It was insulting. A lady at the adjacent table had the same complaint. The mushroom gnocchi was the only main dish we couldn't complain about. Also, for an Italian place, when 3/4 of the table orders pasta, you'd think some parm would make an appearance. Nnnnnnope. Expensive and inelegant slop. Not outright bad on the whole, but so very far from good.

Dinner for 12 brought 12 thumbs up. Appys to entrees to desserts. The short ribs were wonderful, as was risotto. Veal chop. Gnocchi. Burrata. Bronzino. Many other choices. Not one word of negative comment. Service was timely and friendly. Pretty decor. Enjoyable 100%.

Aroma Restaurant. Great food

Sage has always been a favorite of ours but last nights dinner was mediocre at best. The burrata appetizer was overly salty as was the jasmine rice & string beans. The halibut has no taste. Portions were smaller then usual. We were seated at a table for 2 against the wall. It was crowded and uncomfortable. Feel like I was abused for 120. The only good thing was the service.

Absolutely delicious. Had fried artichokes and calamari. Then for entree we had jumbo lump capellini and blue cheese strip steak. Never a bad dinner here and portions are huge. Can't beat this BYOB!

Excellent meal! We had the Tuna Steak with soy and wasabi, for more succulent and taste-filled than many. Halibut special cut like butter and was superb. Scallops were my order and they were large, perfectly cooked to easily cut and the basil mayo sauce added a nice, lively flavor. A great corn, peppers and bacon slaw accompanied the meal. For desert we shared a scrumptious piece of blueberry mango pie with cobbler crust. Service was excellent, and BYOB is always nice. A very memorable meal, certainly not inexpensive but worth the price. Menu had many nice red meat offerings as well.

Place was awesome I went with my girlfriend and her friend for restaurant week. Food was very good, service was awesome, place was really clean. Definitely a cute place to bring a first date with windows everywhere looking out to the street. Dim lighting also candles lit, this place is definitely a panty dropper for dudes who are trying to impress a date or a good date night leave the kids with the parents and spark up the bedroom after lmao!

Everything my friends and I had were delicious. We went here for restaurant week and it was packed. I expected a really small restaurant based on the reviews but it was bigger than I expected. Yes, the tables are close together but I wasn't bothered by it. The portions were generous and worth every penny. The Thai clams and mussels broth was so good and tasted authentic. I was surprised because I tend to have really bad experiences with any oriental dish from a non Asian establishment. I had the short rib and it was so tender and flavorful and went perfectly with the mash potatoes and asparagus. I've had short ribs plenty of times before but this was my favorite. I don't know what they do. If it was the sauce or the way they marinate the short rib, but it stands out from other restaurants. Everyone was happy with their meals and after we received our appetizers we were already talking about when we were going to return. Note: The waitress and bus boy was also courteous and attentive even though it was busy.

Appetizers were amazing although I would skip the buratta as the fried tomato takes away from the dish. Entrees were great across the board. Our server recommended the pasta with home-made sausage but that was the least favorite entree among the 7 at our table. Given that the restaurant was half empty the service was less than stellar. We love the BYOB and would return again. We were glad that we made reservations inside.

Here visiting AC and this restaurant was highly recommended for dinner. I have to say it was an incredible eating experience It's BYOB. Pet friendly- seating outside Appetizers of clams and muscles in a Thai lemongrass broth that was luscious. Fried artichoke hearts with an amazing coating and fantastic dipping sauce. Good bread on table Entrees were crispy duck with a cherry sauce that was out of this world. Steak medium rare cooked perfectly and shrimp with linguini. Everything was extremely satisfying and delicious. I'd return if I ever go back to Atlantic City. Only downside is cash only!!!! A bit pricy so make sure to have cash in your pockets!!
