Always short handed we are never recieving our mail on Manor Avenue Longport & our outgoing mail is never picked up! This is an absolute disgrace!!!!!!

I live in Ventnor. I can attest that my local US Post Office is not only bad, but DANGEROUS.
The employees are rude, angry, dishonest, threatening and borderline violent. I don't know who is running this post office, but something is very wrong with it's operations. I've never experienced anything like it. Last month I was helped by a really nice, professionnel post office worker. It was such a dramatic change that I actually had to check the location to see if I'd gone to a different post office.
a) I've sent money orders from the Ventnor City US Post Office which were re-routed--without my knowledge or permission--and sent to an address in another state. I don't know what happened to my Money Orders.
2) Much of my mail is never delivered to me.
This has been tested and confirmed throughout 2023 and 2024.
3) My mailbox key has been changed several times without my knowledge or request, and I have to pay for a new lock and key each time.
4) Quite often my mail arrives already opened.
5) I've had a Ventnor City postman scream at me--at the top of his lungs in the middle of the street ...for asking him a question about my mail.
The US Mail Service is a critical part of our infrastructure. It is now run by an appointee who plans to privatize US Mail--our country's only true backup communication syste
m. Unlike government institutions, private enterprise is given wide berth on a multitude of fast and loose quasi-legal business practices. This should NEVER be the case with our US Mail System.
I hope my experience with the Ventnor City, NJ US Post Office is not a precursor of what's to come, because--so far, no one has been held to account for breaking the laws postal employees are sworn to uphold. The screaming postman was witnessed by at least one neighbor. I've reported most of what I've written here and traced my certified mailings. So proof abounds. Yet nothing has been done to fix this US Post Office.
WARNING: Use the Ventnor City Post Office at your own risk. Be aware that it is part of the crime world. Find another way to send and receive your mail.

The ladies that work there are very nice and helpful. They are a.busy station but try not to keep customers waiting.

They lost my packages that were very valuable. 4 packages that had multiple items in them. They were mark delivered, but delivered to the wrong place. I opened claims with the usps customer care center. The ventnor office closed the claims because they say they were delivered. They also said they contacted me which they never did. Again, I never received these packages and lost a lot of money on the products I ordered. Terrible customer service and untrustworthy.

THE UNITED STATE'S POST OFFICE IS A JOKE! JUST LIKE ANYTHING ELSE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DOES THEY ARE OPERATING SHORT STAFFED YOU HAVE SUPER VISORS OUT DELIVERING THE MAIL YOU HAVE INCOMPLETE@VINDICTIVEEMPLOYEES LIKE KAMISHA WHO SENT MY FEDERAL INCOME TAX REFUND MARKED AS UNDELIVERABLE.I MEEN THINK ABOUT IT IT'S A FEDERAL TAX REFUND SENT TO A FEDERAL POST OFFICE BOX HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? DID THEY FIRE THIS INCOMPETENT EMPLOYEE?NO THEY JUST SENT HER TO ANOTHER LOCATION WHERE SHE'LL DO THE SAME D*** BEHAVIOR.. UNITED STATE'S POST OFFICE HAS TO BE PRIVITIZED...?

It is located in the worst spot in the plaza. It is too far from the bus stop for us Old ? and or handicap people to walk to get our postal needs. My recommendation is to move the Post Office closer, in one of the empty stores, to the Acme for us older and handicap people who take the bus. service was excellent friendly and courteous!
