Engine, no start. Turned out to be Power Distribution box under the hood. Needs replacement. They cleaned the terminals and it's starting. I ordered a new replacement part.Service: Electrical repair

I called to schedule a state inspection and he got me in within a day, didnt realize insurance card wasnt in there and was patient enough to let me run home to grab it! he was super quick and efficient! The woman in the office was very helpful and sweet, And since I have tint on my windows he was considerate enough to put on a extra sticker so it doesn't ruin it. I will be taking my other vehicle to them for now on, I would 100 percent recommend them if your in the area!

This was the first time taking my vehicle in for repair to Ed's Auto Service I have had a very intermittent problem that sets the check engine light (CEL) and I have had this problem for over 5 years now. In the past I could replace a Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF) and the problem would seem to clear for as long as a year. Bill is now the 4th Mechanic to work on my vehicle including a Toyota Dealer (I won't say what one) since 5 years ago it was still under a 5-year warranty (the Car is a 2011 Toyota Camry). I could tell the first time meeting Bill that he was not only an expert but could explain all aspects of this type of failure very clearly. I have a background in electronics but I am no auto mechanic, and I know about intermittent problems and how they can be real a nuisance to troubleshoot. This type of problem takes someone who is not just interested in replacing parts in hope that they resolve a problem. It takes skill, knowledge and patience to troubleshoot. The other mechanics, may be good a basic repairs, but Bill is a seasoned expert in his field. In fact one of the other mechanics after replacing parts that had nothing to do with my original problem (they replaced a part that may have failed during the course of troubleshooting but it was not the 5 year old issue I brought it in for) actually did not even call me back after I called them to let them know that the infamous P0162 CEL fault had returned. They did not even bother to call me back to try and continue where they left off. No matter what the long term outcome will be, I know that Bill will be there to help. Ed's has become my new spot for my auto service needs.I work full time as a delivery driver for Good Friends Chinese Restaurant in town. Time and money matter a big deal to me. They order from us all the time and I love seeing their dog.I had issues with my vehicle that I couldn't figure out what it was. Took my car there in the morning and was ready to work before the afternoon rush. They answered all my questions and calmed my nerves about what could be wrong with my car.I highly recommend Ed's Auto Service to anyone I know. Bill is absolutely a nice guy. BUT I had to keep bringing my car back. Same problem 3 solutions. It was approx 1000 but in end a Fuze. Which was a couple dollars and a charge to drop it in whick took longer to unlock hood and raise it. was disappointed and felt absolutely horrible about the whole experience. Being a nice guy is fine but being treated fair is another. Being told your car had three things go wrong at the same time is very low in possibility. Owning up to responsibility would be nice. BTW I paid for a diagnostic also sooooo IDK.

So...it's New Years Eve, I'm in New Jersey on travel and the brake pads/brake light pops on - I'm supposed to be back in the office in VA by Monday morning...Where can I go to get this diagnosed/corrected?Ed's Auto Service (the earliest appointment at an Audi service provider was Monday morning...)Called Ed's to see if they had time - showed up around 10am and in the time it took for a cabbie to get to the shop (to take me the 4 miles back to my hotel), they had me diagnosed and let me know there were no safety concerns and I could safely continue driving until I got an appointment with my mechanic back in Virginia (set for Thursday)No appointment, less than 30 minutes and even more surprising? No charge!! (They even have a wonderfully cute "shop pup" named Jenny!)Best customer service I've seen in ages - if you have a car issue and are in the South Jersey area, highest recommendation for this shop!

I was looking for a local shop that does honest work. One vehicle had regular maintenance , tire rotation which included checking breaks and grease fittings, oil change and filters, my second car had same plus a leak in radiator needed to be replaced , there was a bent piece on my power steering that needed work. ( the pump and belt were recently repaired in another shop ) This shop did the work on time and communication was great. Thanks

Brought my car in for service. Was verbally quoted a price over the phone and quoted a worse case scenario. Price changed from what was discussed in the conversation on the phone. I hope the work is good and I highly recommend getting quotes in writing before getting work done. Who operates a Buisness like this?

This was my first time taking my car to Ed’s Auto. They came highly recommended by a family member, and I can see why. I had an oil change and 40,000 mile check. The price was less than half of what the dealership was going to charge me and they found more issues. The communication was also great. We got a call from the mechanic explaining the issues and the woman from the front desk was so nice when scheduling and updating me on when the vehicle would be ready. I also love that there’s a friendly old dog who greets you when you go inside. We will be back with our other car soon!Services: Tyres
