“Sadly, they're expanding their footprint from 3 to 29 stores. The outcome of choosing quantity over quality is that they've moved away from what made MOM's special. They even decided to close the Naked Lunch eatery. The customer experience now? Meh.”

“ALDI is my go-to supermarket. Their prices can't be beat. While you can't find EVERYTHING that you want there, you can get all your essentials and more for a fraction of the price. Their produce is sold in bulk (you can't buy a single lemon) but it's decent quality and you get a lot for the price. They also have a huge selection of nice cheese which is always handy for a party.”
“I like all day because you can get the lower prices there that you can't get at the other stores ShopRite is the most expensive store around I would not go there”

“I love ur store!I’ve been shopping there for 3+ years and have brought ‘MY TRIBE’ who have all become regulars. I LOVE ALL OF UR FEMALE STAFF THAT WORK THERE!!! THIS IS NOT A SEXIST REMARK!! Just my observations. The men/boys - not so much. Generally speaking about the boys; they are NOT FRIENDLY or HELPFUL and no personalities! No greeting and when asked a question - I get a grumpy unintelligible answer making sure I know that I’m bothering them!! In complete contrast to the female staff who are friendly, helpful (Wendy who is, hands down, ur SUPERSTAR!!!) She always knows where everything is and how much stock u have. ALWAYS a big smile and a welcoming Hi Paula!! She’s happy to see me and wants my business. Also , the gal out on Maternity leave: pregnancy & motherhood have brought out her softer side which is great!! There’s a newer black woman who’s wonderful!! Always a big smile & greeting! I can’t recall her name either. There’s also a white woman - a bit older than the other ladies/ always helpful as well!!
U have a good thing going and good prices - although they’ve been going up quite a bit and often. The quality of ur produce has really been going down which is very upsetting bc my family eats only fresh produce! I make a big salad every night and always a fresh side. I hope you’ll keep an eye on that as I have heard many comments from patrons saying the same thing while we’re over there picking through the fruit & veggies. And please take a look at ur male emplyees - they need some additional training and good customer service role playing!! I always found that role playing was an excellent tool to help improve employees greetings, conflict resolution, and answering customers questions. It gives them a chance to ‘try it on for size’ and get comfortable with new skills. Just make sure they know it’s an expectation - NOT A SUGGESTION!! LOL.
I want to thank you for a great alternative to the higher priced grocery chain stores!! And a friendly and helpful staff for the most part!!
Just get those boys in shape so the girls can stop showing them up!! Sorry for the length of this feedback! I’m passionate about my food & where I shop!!

PS-Wendy even keeps an eye on my phone, keys and purse as I tend to leave them behind as I’m bagging my groceries!! It’s happened 3-4x I’m sorry to say!! But …. As I’m in my car rushing to get home - there comes Wendy carrying my purse or phone, keys etc.

“They have the best hoagie for a corner store love them prices are cheap for good food and sandwiches been around for a long time grew up around them never dissatisfied bread and rolls nice and fresh they are my go to love this place in the heart of Pollock Town Very good customer service and they get it done fast.”

“I truly like this store. I come home with a months worth of food for 150$ which is great in this economy! However I do not like the fruit from here, it is mostly rotten and if it's not rotten you better eat it the second you walk out of the store. I don't eat too much fruit myself but if anybody is looking for fruit don't get it from here. I also don't like how every time I walk in this place it's in a different layout. I understand it's a marketing tactic but I always have to look for everything I need like it's a new store! Other than that, I have no complaints! I love shopping here”

“G&M catered my daughters baby shower and there isn’t enough good things I could say about them. They were easy to work with and their food was delicious! So many attendees gave compliments and asked for their information. G&M is sure to have an influx of new customers coming their way!”
“Great deli sandwiches, always ask for extra meat. I also enjoy the hot beef sausage egg sandwiches. They make burgers etc, also rice and chicken empanadas and more. It’s always better to call in your order so you don’t have a wait. The grocery store has vegetables and everything else you would need to make a full course meal, they also have lottery. It’s very clean.”

“Wow absolutely amazing! This store has everything and I do mean everything. I had a fantastic shopping experience. Everyone who worked there was very helpful. The store was very clean. I must say that if you need premade food quickly, this is definitely the place to stop. You’re gonna get great food with a ton of choices. It’s funny. I kind of feel like I’m cheating on my Shoprite with the new Shoprite. Absolutely love it will be back again tomorrow.. I have one small suggestion. Try to go on an off time if you can because then I think you can enjoy yourself more.”

“As far as Aldis go, I have never had any serious issues at this location. A couple of things to be aware of, though: there are no self checkouts in this store- you must pay at the cashier, and there are limited organic options in this store as compared to the other Aldis. Sometimes I forget to bring a quarter and can't get a cart, so I just put the stuff in my grocery totes that I bring and the security guard will usually follow me around in kind of an aggressive manner, which I choose to ignore. This never happens to me at the South Philly Aldi and so I can't help but wonder if it has something to do with me being the same ethnicity as the homeless people in the area who frequently shoplift. My husband said the same thing happened to him as well when he was just carrying the groceries in his hands. We come here all the time so maybe at some point it will stop, because I don't always have a quarter or want to use a big cart. Thanks.”

“I've heard this was the new supermarket for Spanish products. Living in South Jersey, I would have to say the selection is pretty good.
A little on the pricey end, but you def won't find some of these products at your local grocery store.”
“I live in Philly and make the trek to Cousin’s because it’s so well run. The new owners made improvements to the lot, got new carts, and the store is spotless. They have a great selection and the staff are always willing to help. I’m so happy they are in the area and am now a regular customer.”
