Hotel front door broken now for 3 days. In my room: bugs, ants, broken bathroom door, no hanging rod in closet (hangers laying on the floor) , and filthy brown carpet that attempts to hide the stains. Also, very unwelcoming employees and cigarette smell and butts everywhere.

Please NOTE: It's not " Wingate by Wyndham " anymore It's Comfort inn & suites another brand in process of updating this property. New owners are planning to improve the property. The king size bedroom was adequately furnished. No coffee cups or sugar packs for coffee machine. Bed was made up with wrinkled bedsheets. For breakfast they had a goodie bag with bottled water , a chewy breakfast bar, a frozen jimmy dean egg/ cheese/ sausage biscuit which when microwaved without sausage became spongy.. could not eat it. Other then that place was kept very clean and had a good nights sleep ..

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very accommodating and kind. It was nice of the hotel to provide bagged breakfasts during the pandemic but the food wasn't very good. My biggest complaint is that the walls are very thin. You could hear children running down the hallways at 10:00 and loud guests in their rooms that were two rooms down the hallway.

The hotel is horrible. It is now a Comfort Inn, yet they have not rebranded the interior so it still has the Wingate By Wyndham logos with paper signs glued over the logos. Whoever owns this hotel appears to have no clue how to manage a hotel. The check in area is a mess of clutter behind the desk. Front desk people wear street clothing with no sort of concern for their appearance. The room was obviously neglected with the bed frame falling off the wall, torn carpet, dressers missing hardware, and lights with no blubs. AC Unit also leaks water all over carpet in the room. On the property there is a large number of shopping carts for no obvious reasons since there is no shopping center nearby. Overall feels like someone bought this property with no experience in hotel management. They are simply selling rooms that are not well maintained or clean. Staff all negative and not interested in customer service at all. Just in it to make some money and not actually provide a high quality experience. Would never stay at this property again.

Limited parking. Manager allowed me to park at the entrance as there were no spaces. This is now Comfort Inn. Needs some renovations, but we were able to get good rest as beds were comfy. Room was clean.

I stayed at this hotel a few times over the years when it was the Wingate. I remember the maintenance guy Kevin that kept the place spotless and the pool looking great. The front desk was run by Lena and her sister Maria. It was really nice here. "Was" being the key word. The pool area smells horrible now. The floors in the hallways were filthy. The front desk people were beyond unfriendly. There were trash bags in the hallway the entire stay. I paid $193 for a suite and it literally was just a regular room with a dirty couch. The TV in my "Suite" was a 19 inch TV. They said they serve breakfast like they did before... umm No!!! I knew the place was under new ownership and the name had changed to the Comfort in but didn't expect it to be this much of a disappointment. Don't waste your money here. Trust me.

They are no longer Wingate, It's now Comfort Inn. It was WAY better when it was Wingate. Cleaner, service was on time. I came and my room wasn't ready and check in is 3pm so I didn't get my room until after 4. Hopefully the new owners will get it together or they will lose business.

Absolutely awful! Do not stay. Dirty dirty dirty! The lady who owns this hotel felt bad our room was dirty & “cleaned” if for us but a 10 min “once over” was the tip of the iceberg! I was completely grossed out & if we weren’t so exhausted from our day we would’ve found a new hotel! The entire building was dirty, pool too.

We booked 3 months in advance and 2 days before we were going to go, they cancelled us. This was because of the place getting new owners. The new owners did allow us to stay there for the same price that we were going to have originally. We got in there and the room was semi dirty, the carpet was sticky, the one side of the bed felt bad, and there is low water pressure with lukewarm water. In the morning, we went to get some breakfast and it wasn't what it was advertised, the food was bagged and not of good quality. Finally, the pool and many other things were broken and/or not able to be used. (Pictures coming)

Where do I begin. The staff hates that you're staying here. Seriously. You are a MAJOR inconvenience to their day so don't ask them for anything. Out of blankets, out of towels, and out of any decent customer skills. The quality of these rooms is $65-$90. It absolutely does not deserve a $150 price tag.You have been warned.

Water pressure is not good; room was fairly clean. Chair stained & smelly & had to ask for a replacement. Very surprised for Wydham. Much, much better in past visits.

Only dog friendly hotel near our destination so we didn’t have a choice. Unfriendly staff (not rude but very cold and unwelcoming), run down (dead bushes at entrance, grass needs cutting, didn’t feel clean, furniture beat up). It’s after 7am - still no coffee or breakfast out. Our room is big enough to accommodate a sofa, but there is just one little chair and ottoman.

The front desk clerk was very personable. However when he checked is in he charged my room to my sons account on a Friday and the manager who was suppose to be in on Saturday could not correct until Monday. The a/c in our room did not work correctly and no other rooms were available. Thank goodness they had a fan we could use. In my sons room they discovered blood on the sheets which he got new ones and had to change the bed himself. We decided to check out on Saturday and a good thing we did, the toilet in our room decided it wasn’t going to flush. Never had this kind of experience at a Wyndham Hotel before. ☹️

My friend and I booked a stay for 5/21 - 5/23 to attend Sahara Sam’s Oasis. We drove 2 hours to get here and were advised that the pool was closed. The gentlemen at the front desk advised my friend that we should’ve been made aware upon booking the stay and he apologized for the inconvenience. He was nice enough to make us aware of some other activities to do in the area that were a few minuets to an hour away, although it was not apart of our plan. He also told us that there was free coffee although we are not coffee drinkers, and told us that the vending machines were broke but breakfast was available in the morning. We brushed it off due to is having plans to go to the water park the next morning. Upon us getting on the elevators, it had a really bad smell. The rooms were not the prettiest but we pretty much booked the room because of the attraction and the pool that booking.com stated was available. In my room, there were 3 sets of towels. I had a total of 5 people in my room and she had 3. There was also a questionable stain on one key the My shower railing was bent and the shower curtain did not stay closed which was kind of annoying but I paid it no mind. My friend asked the lady at the front desk if she could have more rags and towels due to it only being 1 in there and she was told she could get a new rag when she brings the used one back down to the lobby and switch it out. I felt like that was wrong because a visitor should not have to keep running up and down the stairs for multiple rags or share rags at that. I’ve personally never had an issue like this at any hotel I’ve stayed at. My friend never made a big deal about it though. The next morning, we were given doggie bags for breakfast. I understand the whole Covid situation but did not know it would be like that. I felt like a prisoner at that point but we took our bags and proceeded with to go upstairs. I’m not a meat eater so I could eat the breakfast sandwiches, only the fruit and juice. Upon us returning from the park, we went to exchange our towels and were given hand towels instead of bath towels. The gentleman was working that night and apologized to us, indicating that she the female workers from earlier, did not stock properly. If I was a woman or a bigger body build, I would be extremely upset and embarrassed. The whole experience was not the best and I feel like what I paid for did not meet my expectations. I was not comfortable nor satisfied with my stay so I called corporate about the matter and also advised them that we were checking our Saturday night as well. I kindly explained to corporate of our experience and let them know that we were leaving that night. There were no luggage carried available so we had to carry bags down and I had to make an extra trip back upstairs to get the rest of my belongings. I asked the gentleman at the front desk if I needed any paperwork and he stated “no” so I placed my key in the box on the desk and left. My friend advised me today that she has been speaking with the manager and they were only willing to refund 50% odd ones room although she booked the rooms together, I, myself, made a payment on my card for the room and $50 incidental fee because they only charged a $50 incidental fee to one room (even though both rooms were booked). My friend and as going back and fourth on an email and I just got off the phone with corporate, again, indicating that they only show one room being booked and were only willing to refund 50% for my friends room, for the other night. Some how some way, Wingate is unable to locate this I do information because it was booked though third party. I am extremely displeased with this experience and would not suggest anyone to stay here.
