“I'm admittedly a biased because my church (Shore Christian) runs the place but the Dream Center's service to the local community is one of the main reasons we chose that church in the first place. You'll never meet a more genuinely loving and welcoming group of people.

They have a food pantry that supplies groceries through several ministry activities and hosts Adopt A Block donations in Asbury and Neptune.

There is also a baby pantry which provides essentials as well as toys, furniture, etc to local families in need.

We are called to live our neighbors and the Dream Center is the epitome of that. No need to go overseas for mission work when there is so much good work to be done right next door!”

“Oorah is one of those organizations that you can feel the impact of the second you walk in the door. There’s a real sense of purpose — like everyone there is on a mission, but still with that warm, heimish “you matter” vibe that makes you feel comfortable right away.
What stands out most is the heart. Whether you’re dealing with staff, volunteers, or just calling with a question, you’re treated with patience and respect. No attitude, no rushing you off the phone, just genuine menschlichkeit. It’s clear they care deeply about Klal Yisroel and about helping families in a real, practical way — not just big words and nice brochures.
And honestly, the work they do is massive. Between their programming, outreach, and everything they’re involved in, you can tell this isn’t a “small side thing.” It’s organized, professional, and run with a level of integrity that’s refreshing. The place feels well-managed, and the whole experience gives you confidence that your time, support, or involvement is going to something meaningful.
Bottom line: Oorah is the kind of organization that makes you proud. Big-hearted, well-run, and truly making a difference — the kind of place you’re happy to recommend to anyone looking for real community impact with real warmth.”

“I am so fortunate to teach yoga on behalf of The Phoenix. Support and encouragement on the mat help us to trust the process and stay the course on days when we don't want to go it alone. We’re in it together, and that makes a difference. I love The Phoenix community. It’s like home.”

“If you’re going for counseling this for me was the best experience! Denis Bilups was really there for me and the group meetings on Wednesday morning were great he really knew how to control the room and have people unlock their emotions that you wouldn’t even think some of these people had. I found out a lot about myself and grew as a person for the better. The evening meetings I wasn’t so fond of Denis didn’t do them was other people. Seemed like the people who didn’t take it seriously went in the evening just to get it over with. But I would highly recommend going to Jewish family center and definitely attending Wednesday morning groups with Denis, he makes it personal and his method works and I’m forever grateful.”

“The people there are very kind and helpful.. understanding and respectful.. they treat you like a human being.. not like just another person they have to “help” (if that makes any sense)..

“We attended a lovely gathering here. It was an auction, and they used the entire space. There is a nice front door visible from the main road, and an equally good entrance from the back of the parking lot. There is a nice working kitchen, and a main room with a stage. Looks like it could be good for small and group gatherings. Also, there is a room off to the far side, opposite the kitchen, that has what looks like a working fireplace. I would definitely consider this if I had a gathering like a family party, or a group get together. It's quite nice inside, and you can tell that they are keeping up on the maintenance of an older building with some nice character.”

“My 21-year old autistic daughter comes here for weekly counseling sessions. Her counselor, Kristin Kluin, is fantastic. She listens to us and asks pertinent questions that help me to think about the situation and give a more appropriate answer. She is mild mannered and my daughter enjoys her sessions.Although Kristin is a solid five stars, I'm giving the facility four stars because i have tried to schedule a tour of their TAZ program and they have not contacted me. Kristin has even informed a TAZ program representative that I needed someone to contact me and they have not. I understand that they are busy but it doesn't take long to reply to an email, even if it us to let me know that they will get back to me.”

“The fundraising effort for my cadet unit was very easy and straightforward. We were able to get the word out and make sales fairly effortlessly. The coffee was delivered to us on time and distributed quickly. The feedback on the quality of the coffee itself has been very positive. Thank you for this opportunity to support our youth leadership program through a fundraiser with a high quality product. We look forward to doing this again.”

“The Childhood Leukemia Foundation truly knows how to make a difference. They recently gifted my niece a beautiful wig, and the joy it brought to her face was priceless. This organization goes above and beyond to support young cancer patients, and we can't thank them enough.”

“I have recently worked with FCS in helping with my friends, who are elderly couple with serious identity theft issues on bank transactions. The FCS has provided great service to them. They came to visit my friends home immediately and took the case. The case social worker Ms. Keana Miller has done a lot of great work! She has contacted the banks; discussed the issues with the banks; finding many resources and making good suggestions. With FCS and Ms. Miller’s efforts and power, there are significant development of the case. Without FCS and Ms. Keana Miller, my friends could never got this point. Ms. Keana Miller is very professional; knowledgeable; thorough; patient; and communicated information clearly. On behalf of my friends, we want to express great appreciation to FCS and Ms. Keana Miller’s great work!”
