“Such a great family-owned business! Once I realized that they carried the dog food that we use, I started to order here to support a local business. The bonus is that it's priced the same as the bigger chain store I had been going to. Even if it was higher, I have seen that the family gives back to the community and helps those in need. With 5 dogs (2 giant breed, 1 large breed, and 2 small/med) it is so convenient to order delivery every 2-3 weeks. They are so sweet and send some extra little bones with the order. Last order I received was packed by students, so it is nice to see that they are also teaching the younger generation some hands-on learning! Staff is so nice and helpful! I definitely have to take a ride there with a pup or 2 to visit!”

“I just came here for some toys and dog treats, but what a cute place! I got 2 toys and 2 gourmet baked treats for just $25 (it would have probably been atleast $40 at petco). There is a cute old cat that greets you at the door. I would definitely visit again if I'm in the area.”

“My dog died yesterday, but for years we brought her to Highland Kennel. We always had a good experience there and our dog seemed to have a nice time as well. No anxiety or other issues or concerns when we picked her up. It's hard to write this today. She was a 12 year old lab mix. A wonderful girl. RIP Miss Dixie.”

“I visited the Tinton Falls, NJ store yesterday with a list in hand. Bo )the sales person) was extremely helpful in helping me find some of the items. Most importantly the connection (for my garden hose to connect to a “hose reel) with two female ends. Along with a few other items I was seeking. I also browsed around the store (enjoying some “retail therapy”). Yes, I overspent, but retail therapy was needed. Bo also helped me load up my “haul” - with the few bigger items I purchased onto my vehicle!!! Thank you, Bo? I’ll be back and hope to see Bo again! Chair and hose reel in use! My vegetable garden thanks Bo too, as it got much needed watering!”

“I came in for cat food and happened to overhear a conversation about pet lobsters. Intrigued, I walked right in for a full on blatant eavesdropping. The store manager Jessica was talking to a teacher about whether the lobster (crawfish) would be a good classroom pet. I learned so much about fish. If pet fish or aquarium pets are your thing, go see Jessica. It was so delightful to hear someone speaking with such knowledge and genuine care. She also helped me find my food prior to that. Great location. Thank you fir teaching me something new!”
“My girlfriend and I wanted to adopt a female cat to provide company for our male, and to provide companionship to my girlfriend. After numerous trips to the shelter, we found our match; a cute little Calico named Aster. We first talked with Tabby, and mostly with Natalie thereafter. Every last person there wants to help a person find their perfect match. We're so happy and grateful for all their help.”

“By far, hands down … the best experience I’ve had purchasing fish. Aaron and Liz made my entire experience pleasant, while coaching me through the aquarium process. I left feeling more confident about owning fish.
Honestly, you probably could find this stuff cheaper on Amazon. But you don’t get an Aaron and Liz there. It’s about keeping small businesses alive.
If you’re thinking about starting a tank, this is the place to go. Tell them Erin sent you and maybe they will throw in some free fish food!
Additionally, I’ve seen fish in their tanks that I’ve never seen before at the chain stores.

“So glad we stumbled across this little gem of a pet store! My kids and I stopped here for our first pet snake. The experience could not have been better and we are now regulars for our snake food. “I had a particular setting in mind because sadly I lost both of my dogs within three months and wanted two stones set together. Katharine was so incredibly kind and helpful and communicated with me every step of the process of making my stones and giving me all the information my jeweler needed to create the setting. During such a sad time Katharine was so sweet and caring and did the most amazing job on my stones. They are absolutely beautiful. I just got my ring back from the jeweler today and couldn’t wait to show her. I cannot recommend highly enough.”

“Customer service was fantastic. Hard to find a 5 star pet store due to the conditions of some of the fish and the fish tanks they occupy. But again, this specific store had great service and treated my daughter so well. Helped her pick out a cage, bedding, food etc... for our 2 new Fancy Rats; Sunshine and Mira.”

“Great to have a local pet supply store near to home and actually be able to shop, in person, and touch and feel things! My big Golden loves to go too… he hates online shopping… no sniffs or squeaks. Truly, it’s a great shop, easy to get to, has a big supply of food and treat choices, grooming, bedding, and much more. They also have grooming and pet washing stations. It’s a gem to have nearby”
