I narrowly avoided what could have been a catastrophic accident. About six days after getting my tires done here, I noticed shaking in my steering wheel while driving on Route 80. When I pulled over to a safe place, I found the wheel lock key still on my front left tire. After jacking the car up, I discovered that 4 out of 5 lug nuts on that wheel were hand loose, and even the wheel lock lug was loose, though not as bad as the others. On the front right tire, one lug nut was also hand loose.
This isn’t just sloppy work, it’s gross negligence. If my wheel had come off at highway speed, it could have caused a deadly accident. Mistakes like this put customers’ lives at risk.
And honestly, Pep Boys is supposed to be a tire shop. If they can’t even get that right, what can they do right?
To the shop: letting a vehicle leave in this condition is indefensible. Fix your safety procedures immediately.
To potential customers: be warned. A mistake like this should *NEVER* happen, but clearly it did.

I had previously talked to Pep Boys beforehand, before having my car towed for service there. After inspection, which I thought would have been a major problem, ended up being a simple main fuse, at which they could've told me was the bigger, more expensive problem. However, they were honest and didn't up sell and rip me off. Amanda the assistant manager there earned my loyalty and future business at this location.

I only suggest an informed consumer take their vehicle here. Lazy employees and no professional supervision. The workers do the bare minimum to give themselves easy jobs and give ridiculous estimates and b.s. I took my car there for tires and inquired about having my AC evaluated and repaired. The repairs were quoted at a ridiculous price over $3000. Most likely a practice by someone who can't do a job or is lazy. Lucky for me I'm from a family of mechanics a MASTER ASE mechanic and my husband a mechanical engineer was with me when they gave me this information and he let them know the estimate was bs because he told them my car didn't even have the clutch condenser they claimed in the estimate and if they evaluated the car as they claimed to any mechanic would see and know that. Also the schmo mechanic was too busy sitting and rolling around on a tire in the checkout area flirting sitting and talking to the girls. Very unprofessional place run by children. My husband ordered the parts himself and repaired it himself in about an hour and my AC is working great never better. All for about $500. These corporate shops scam people left and right. Beware.

As usual, they handled my classic car (1988 Pontiac Fiero GT) with care. This is the only shop I will let touch my car. Goes in broken, comes out running like new.

Came in for a tire change was told it would take the entire day for the change. Dont waste your time here, plenty of legit shops in the area.

They seemed to be a bit overwhelmed by the amount of cars they had. The wait was a bit rough and communication could have been better but Brittany the store manager was very helpful she made sure I left feeling confident my car was taken care of and explained everything very clearly and gave me a more than fair price for the work I will go back.

Very professional review of what the car needed, with no push.
Full brake work was done well, although the parking brake was surprisingly not adjusted.
Only other minor complaint is the mechanic grease left on the floor mats and door panel. Took me a while to clean that. They should at least use a paper mat for protection.
Nevertheless, being able to come in at the last minute, and the friendliness of the crew, means I'll come back again.

Amanda and Brittany have done a phenomenal job turning this place around. The level of courtesy professionalism and respect offered from these two is amazing. They do a great job connecting with the customers. I would definitely recommend this place.
