After 35 years of banking with Lakeland, I'm closing my accounts and moving to a new bank. The Wantage branch never picks up their phones. Every time I call, I get transferred to the main office. They have to email the Wantage branch to request a call back which has never happened. I have to drive to the branch to get a question answered. I feel like I'm back in the 1990's when dealing with them.

The employees here are incompetent. I went to this bank to change my address on my Debit card in October. The tiny blonde lady assured me it will be done. Today I ordered a new Debit card on the phone because my chip wasn't working. The nice lady on the Lakeland phone number beginning with 866 confirmed the the Sussex Branch never changed my address. This branch needs retraining.

Their ATM has no money on a Friday night at 6pm? We are a long term lakeland bank customer and there is no excuse for this at the start of a weekend.

I have been dealing with this Bank for almost 3 years I must say they have the friendliest tellers. Always offering a big smile and they get to know you by name it makes it very personal and that makes banking there more or less like banking with family. I was unaware that "closed for the holiday" means "we will also be shutting down our online banking services, effectively cutting you off from your funds in any meaningful way". That would have been more descriptive and more honest. The fact that calling to report an error leads to a message stating that you've shut down all customer service avenues adds insult to injury.

I have been banking at Lakeland Bank since I moved to Sussex County. I have always been pleased with their service. they are prompt even when overwhelmed with customers and are always pleasant and accommodating. I do, however, agree with the writer who commented about Melissa Simpson. I felt like a bad child in school who failed a test. She was never warm. She thought that we knew what she knew about banking and when we asked a question she smacked you down. I haven't seen her recently. I hope some other poor Lakeland Bank somewhere does not have her in their employ. Every other employee with whom I have had contact has been wonderful. Lakeland Bank will always be my bank of choice.

Melissa Simpson is incredibly rude, condescending, and unprofessional. I have had several negative interactions with her throughout the years of banking with Lakeland Bank in Sussex and have now started to handle my business at different branch locations to avoid dealing with her. She has an attitude if you don't understand what she is saying (because we're not all bank employees and may not fully understand the terminology or process of things!) and has a horrible customer service demeanor when you ask questions or ask her to explain. During a stressful incident of potential fraudulent charges on my card, I certainly did not need the additional stress of a disgruntled employee!! I will continue to take my banking elsewhere!

Melissa is incredibly rude and condescending. I have gone out of my way several times to go to a different branch in order to avoid dealing with her at this location. Horrible customer service!
