This is a very large, super ShopRite. The store is always busy and is well stocked. If you can't find it here, you don't need it. It is easily accessible from Route 31 South of Washington and has a huge parking lot for their customers. I have always found the staff to be very friendly and helpful.

The only one that deserves 5 stars is Ashley. The rest of the team is rude and clearly only looks out for themselves. Example-- I called asking if my child's medicine was ready, I came in that time frame, the ladies clearly heard me at the window when I said my child's name. Instead of telling THEIR coworker that it wasn't mixed yet, they ignored it and let her look around for it. Knowing it wasn't prepped and ready. When I brought it up to the woman, their response was oh it happens all the time. THATS SAD. PATHETIC EVEN. why not be a team and help either other out?
On top of that, they don't tell you when your prescription is ready until 3 days after of it sitting there. They also don't tell you if something is out of stock they just let it go.
It's actually sad what it's come to. If you're that miserable at your job, please find a new one. No one deserves that attitude, or rudeness. They'll look right at your face and ignore you as if you're not even there. There's been too many times that I've been spoken poorly to that sadly it comes to leaving a bad review. Please give Ashley a raise, she deserves it for her hardwork and customer service. Do better Shop Rite Pharmacy!

Went there once, will never again. Doctor calls in three prescriptions, go there to pick it up, they hand you a bag and say have a nice day. Get home to find out there was only two of the three prescriptions. Call in asking why that was, was told one of them wasn't covered by insurance. Hey thanks! How about say that at the window when we're there to pick it up?
Which is what I said to the young lady. To which I got a response of "you should check the bag before you leave". With an attitude....oh ok. And they wonder why they have so many bad reviews

It feels like I'm in the Twilight zone when interacting with these people. I even went so far as to print out paperwork to file a formal complaint to the Board of Pharmacy, but unfortunately any complaint can be public and I don't want others to know my medical information. If anyone else would like to file a formal complaint just do an internet search stating, "nj board of pharmacy complaint" and it will show up in the search results (the complaint would be with the actual NJ state board, not Shoprite). The pharmacy doesn't contact me if a medication isn't approved or isn't in stock. They just don't fill it and don't say anything. They are also rude.At one point, I had two medications the pharmacy said interacted with one another due to one decreasing the other's effectiveness. Each prescriber of each medication was aware of this and felt these were still the appropriate prescriptions for me. Despite this, the pharmacist refused to fill the script. I said okay, then I will just fill the one because it is the most pivotal and urgent. They refused to fill even just the one! They said they need the doctor to cancel one of the scripts. When I explained it was two different doctors and they are both aware of both medications, they still refused to fill it and said one doctor needs to cancel one. I explained that the one doctor I would need to cancel their script is only open two days a week for limited hours. The pharmacist then said they will contact the other doctor to cancel it. So I asked them if a doctor has the ability to cancel another doctor's prescription because the doctor with limited hours is the one whose prescription I'd need canceled. They then changed what they were saying and stated they would contact that doctor to get them to verbally approve it instead. Their explanations did not make logical sense. I explained I literally need the one script in order to function. Still nope. I then called the next day and emphasized not having the one medication could put my life at risk, and they reluctantly said okay, fine, we'll fill that one. Nothing changed from the day prior other than me stressing that point. If I hadn't thought to emphasize that, who knows what would have happened. Then weeks went by and I heard nothing about the second script. I called multiple times and all they said was that they still haven't heard from the doctor. I finally gave up and just asked my doctor to fill the previous version of the medication I had been on. The pharmacy filled it no problem. What's crazy is that script has negative side effects and is not recommended to be on long-term (which is why I tried to switch to the other in the first place as it is much safer long-term). The pharmacy wouldn't fill the safer version but had no problem filling the old version of the medication. And I've been on the older version way longer than the actual manufacturer says you should! (Yet again, my doctor is aware and deems it more important for me to be on it than not. But the pharmacy didn't even mention that as a concern).

Shoprite of Washington was a great place to shop. Key word = was. Can't fault them on all the extremely high prices. Most of that is Bidenomics at work. But what I can fault SR with is poor focus on the customer. First, watch out for the SR order pickers. They do not care if they are blocking aisles. Their only goal is to fulfill those shop from home orders as quickly as possible. Beware of them crashing into you.In a cost cutting move, SR has reduced the cashiers and replac them d with self-checkout. You'll likely find 1 or maybe 2 lanes with a cashier, even on a weekend morning. And if you're lucky to get a cashier lane, dont think they're going to help you bag. Amazing how they stand there impatiently, watching and waiting for you to do their job. SR is driving you to self scan. But there is no benefit for the consumer. Prices still high with reduced staff. And the best best part is that the scanners barely work. Constantly, shoppers are in need of help as the scanners jam up and freeze for various issues. It is extremely frustrating for shoppers. And I imagine the kid worker who drew the short straw and has to work these self-scan aisles is rethinking that job.Basically, now at SR, you pay high prices to scan and bag your own groceries with your own bags too while you dodge SR's aggressive order pickers.

This particular store has gone downhill in the past couple of years. There isn't a shopping trip that goes by in which we don't end up with spoiled produce. They literally have rotting food in plain sight on their shelves!!...EVERY WEEK. I see a bunch of guys stocking the produce in the mornings, but it can't be fresh stuff. Didn't use to be like this.I guess the "order online" feature has taken off since the pandemic. Most visits, you have more ShopRite employees pushing their carts around and they don't seem to care much about courtesy, blocking aisles, etc... It can be very annoying. We have to change our prescriptions over to CVS. The ShopRite pharmacy is SOOOOO slow!! We used to be able to pick up our scripts on our way back from the doctor's office in the Bridgewater area. Now when we arrive, they haven't even looked at it. They say it'll be an hour or such. Didn't use to be this way. This place is good for convenience, but we usually end up in P-burg or H-town for the good stuff.

Service is great, I'm not thrilled with the layout of the store, it's confusing. Produce is fresh

Shoprite is owned by the mafia. It was an atrocious grocery store in the 70's and 80's even in great economic times, and they still are nowadays. Just like our corrupt government, Shopwrong was no different. They always had insipid workers, bad management, bad produce, overall EXTREMELY nasty people. The owner is a South African white racist. I really wish they'd go out of business...after the Grocery Store Nuremberg trial where the owner is sent to hell with a 50 gun style execution. GET OUT OF NJ! WE HATE YOUR GUTS!

The people in the Washington ShopRite Pharmacy are the rudest most unprofessional and unpleasant you will encounter. The left hand has no idea what the right is doing. The incompetence is rampant, I am surprised they are still operating. Even though the prices are considerably lower I will go somewhere else from now on. You drop off a prescription and ask them when it will be ready, you receive a snide response. You leave and call them the next day assuming it will be ready and if they can find it they may answer yes or no. If they answered yes it’s ready and you drive to pick it up , you sometimes get there only to be told it’s not ready. The next day or so you might be told it’s be cancelled because you haven’t picked it up in time.

New self checkout is terrible. The scales make bagging very difficult.

In October 2022 I had my Covid shot. Immediately had pain. …until December…when orthopedic doctor. The nurse put needle in wrong spot. I contacted the manager and he said…that happened to my wife and they haven’t done anything. I wrote Vice President and president letters and still no response. Have medical bills. That’s all I am asking for. Mary Lou bost

This place has gone downhill ever since Tom left. The new Rph Iris honestly is their only hope at ever getting a decent reputation back, Cathy and Jodi(?) at times, as well. The other woman, who I’ll just call “C,” is wretched. She refuses to follow guidelines; I’ve called corporate to report her. Appx one month ago, I went in for my meds as their new mgr noted I could pick them up, this is a medication I’ve been on for years. “C” had me sit and wait with my screaming children for an hour and twenty minutes- the meds had been filled, they were just sitting in a bag and she didn’t want to approve them. It was absolutely mortifying that other customers had to help me with my kids because this woman just didn’t “feel like” filling my medications, which were noted to be filled on a specific date, again- she changed it. After this, I get a real professional “you always blame me for this” in the background after she refuses to speak directly to me, always has someone else speak to me because I won’t put up with her. Every review that’s positive is when Tom was there; he never hassled anyone, didn’t argue, didn’t intentionally make you wait, did what doctors stated and did his job efficiently. *Their techs are great, by the way, they’re only doing what they’re told. I’ve questioned going to another since this last issue, but I need a specific brand and many pharmacies don’t have a contract to get this brand. I’m honestly embarrassed to go back in there since customers had to distract my toddler because I had a screaming newborn with me, it’s not easy just “running to the pharmacy,” as some would think. (And yes, newborn, 6 days old. Thank you to all those customers though, by the way. They were so gracious, understanding, kind and patient.)
