I went in today around 2:30pm had one of the worst experiences this lady with darker complexion was wearing a hat, the minute I walked was giving me attitude I was being kind as I usually am to any customer service worker and anything I would ask would be a annoyed or disregarding answer, after she literally SLAMMED my mail on the printer when I was paying for it so I asked her what the attitude was about, she claimed I was being rude first and she was just “matching my energy” which is so false when I was just simply asking questions. I don’t know how you keep someone hired still that is clearly not mentally okay and not able to work customer service and is very emotional. Shame on the management

The person who was attending at 11:30 in the morning, on July 7, 2025, is a person who does not have a bad attitude towards the client. My wife asked her if she
could explain the price difference and she got very upset because we were waiting and she was talking on the phone, we had to wait for her to finish talking on the phone for her to attend to us, it seems that she did not like being interrupted, they should not have that kind of people in a job, they should have people who work with a good customer service attitude.

Always excellent service and very quick. I’ve been coming to this post office for quite a few years and have now moved out of the area but still go to this location whenever I am in the area for work to mail out anything I need. They aren’t open for many hours, but it’s always perfect to stop in on my lunch break!

Worst customer service. Mia is rude and unprofessional. Minutes before they closed she tells me they are “closed” when I walked inside. She said “she wants to go home” and proceeded to close the gate while I was in there. Then proceeded to yell. This is why everyone I knows goes to Scotch Plains. They are so nice and professional. Do better Watchung

My community has banks of mailboxes near the entrance. I ordered a package that was deliveredv by the postal service. It was left on the top of the mailboxes where it sat for hours. Luckily it was some thing that wasn’t affected by the heat, I have honest neighbors and no one took the package,. If a package is too large to fit in the box it should be delivered to the home not left on top of a bank of mailboxes. Luckily I was expecting a package and I happen to look at the box on top of the mailboxes. To my surprise I discovered it was addressed to me, but anybody could’ve just taken it and I would’ve been without my package.

I've lived in watchung for about 7 years now. This post offices has become a huge part of my life. I started a small business when I was 16 and I would ship a packages everyday. I've never had a problem here and I've honestly never had to wait. I love the lady who is always there and every-time I walk in she calls me "sweetheart" she has watched me grow up and I'm now in college. I love living in a small town.

They setback the operating times and the quality of employees has sharply declined.I avoid this place at all costs. Only if it is convenient or I'm shipping something nearby.The rough thing is that there are not too many post offices in the immediate area. Watch when the times they are open because they have changed the hours again.Nothing special about this location. I just would never recommend it. Very sad how the post office has been getting worse in a lot of areas around the country thanks to politics. SMH !Final Verdict: Two Stars ⭐⭐

Im shocked with some of the ratings for this location but it also matches some of the sour attitudes that I have witnessed being brought through the door. I've been going in here for the last 4 years and I've never had a problem with service or attitude. I've always been greeted kindly and treated with respect. If the clerk is on her phone, it has never gotten in the way of my service.I appreciate that it is an extreme convenience to have this location available to drop off packages. If you have postage paid items and don't require a receipt, you can drop them on the counter and go.Since it is a small local Post Office branch, its convenience is offset by limited hours and staffing. This makes sense and I plan my trips accordingly. My suggestion would be to travel the extra 4-5 miles to the Warren location which is open until 7 if you have something complex and/or time consuming to deal with as the lines in Watchung can be hit or miss especially during the holidays.
