I always go to JCPenny salon. My stylist Belkis is very professional and always so very nice and outgoing. I always recommend JCPenny salon to all my family and friends. I even bring my son to them. Keep up the great work JCPenny!

I love the Jcpenny’s salon. The service is great. My stylist is great Maribel and also Brianna she has great customer service ’s helping out making sure We are doing good I always feel welcome when I come into the salon and Sandra the Manager is very polite and nice. Also they have a great staff there. Thank you for your service ladies. You are all doing an awesome job.

I love JC Penny salon! I have been going for 20 years! Rosa is an amazing hairstylist and colorist! You aren’t going to find anyone better to color your hair! And she makes it grow! And Carmen and Brenda are also excellent! And if you want extensions or that special extended ponytail Charletta is amazing!

Some stylists can be dishonest in how much they charge you. You go in for one service, but they’ll ring you up for a more expensive service to fatten their pockets. Not cool 👎 Last year, I went in for a wash, deep condition, and a braid. The lady had the nerve to tell me right before I went under the hair dryer that she didn’t know what I was quoted before but she’s going to charge me for a silk press. A what?! If I didn’t have a singing engagement in a couple of hours I would’ve walked right out of that place with wet, conditioned hair.
She claimed that blow drying my hair would’ve been the same work as a silk press. 🤦🏾♀️ But the even crazier part is, as she was blow drying my hair, she kept asking if my hair was processed. No, it was heat trained. But did she lower the price? Nope! I asked to speak to a manager later on and was told none was available. I called the next day and still couldn’t get anyone.
If you have thick or “coarse” hair, don’t trust this salon to do right by you. Now are all of their stylists like this? Idk.. but I know of at least 2 who are and I have the receipts to prove it.
Do better! If you feel you should be getting paid more for doing certain styles, take that up with management and change the prices in the system before hand. Don’t try to be slick and not honor the price that was quoted online and charge people extra for services they did not receive. That’s fraud! I wish I had disputed that charge last year.

First time in JC Penny salon. My experience was not. What I expected to be. I had a wash & blow out . Horrible experience my hair a few hours like if I never did my hair. I would not go here again to do my hair. $35 for blow out & I felt I waisted my money. The person that did my hair didn't do a good job . Next day I have to wash my hair & redo it again

I recently went to JCPenney, Wayne NJ, salon and I am very happy with Juana Bosque. She has been my hair. Stylish for over 20 years and she is outstanding and an amazing hair stylist. She is very amiable and professional. I highly recommend her without hesitation.

This rating would actually be a zero if allowed. The following unprofessional service occurred on Monday, August 12, 2024 when our 3:30pm appointment was dismissed by the stylist, Nancy.
When we arrived, she was immediately rude and bluntly told my daughter that she didn’t have time to do a full-head of highlights because she gets off at 5:30pm. Nancy was extremely condescending and aggressive and stated in a nasty tone, “Why didn’t you come this morning.” My daughter replied that she made the highlighting appointment online and the online reservation was confirmed for the requested treatment for 3:30pm. Nancy was annoyed and seemed in knowledgeable about the online reservation system. She told my daughter that she would only have time to do a half head and walked away to take payment from her last client. I suggested that we make an appointment with a different stylist for another day/time as it was obvious that this stylist didn’t want to do her hair. She wanted to stay and said would settle with just getting half of her head done because she has too much to do before leaving for college in a few weeks. We quietly sat and waited for over 15min for Nancy to return to start. Nancy never came back. We finally got up and walked to the front where we saw Nancy just hanging out at the register with other staff. She made no effort to apologize for any delay or inconvenience. It was obvious that she had no intention of doing even a half head of highlights. I’m guessing she only said that option in hopes we canceled.
The corporate offices of JC Penney would be appalled to know how unprofessional their in-store hair salon staff are in the Wayne, NJ Willowbrook Mall location. Not only did the salon lose a minimum sale/fee of $175 for the scheduled full head of highlights appointment but JC Penney also lost store revenue we would have added to their bottom line yesterday as we were planning to go back to college shopping after her hair was done. Big loss - as my daughter is an incoming College Freshman who needs dorm supplies and clothes (she wore a uniform in high school). JC Penney should consider getting rid of their salons and rent to a vendor who wants to be there and would help keep clients in the store to shop.

Visited JC penny at the new location in the Willowbrook mall NJ where the men's dept was just ridiculously hot. Every one was complaining and feeling sick. Had to leave immediately as I had an immediate headache could barely breathe . Absolutely no way & no condition to shop for anything. Being a Saturday, there was not a single attendant or Manager in sight

JC Penny is a historic department store. My family has been customers through the generations. I have been to Wayne to the Mall many times over the years and I'm not sure why my review and photos are missing. Naturally I would be with my daughter and we always enjoyed shopping at Penny's. One year for my birthday I purchased myself a pair of Pearl earrings. The brand is Sofia. Since the time I purchased them they have gone up in price. I'm very disappointed that the pearls keep falling off. Luckily I'm at home and I haven't lost the pearls yet! My daughter keeps gluing the pearls on. I've tried to find the company website to write to them. I didn't pay Penny's for the insurance. Bottom line of the story is that if you search this Sofia brand pearls Penny's pops up! They carry inferior jewelry in my opinion. I won't shop the jewelry department again! My recommendation is....Do not buy this brand of pearl earrings!
