I called Mavis Discount Tire in Wayne and got an appointment for today for 4 new tires including installation and balancing. The service was excellent. Martin and Dave were kind as well as efficient. All around great job.

Very happy with Mavis in Wayne.
Quick repair of a nail in a tire. Chikkey, the manager, and Ramon, the technician, did an excellent job, on a timely basis, and at a fair price.
Will return for future needs.

I overall had a great experience. I unfortunately didn’t catch the name of the person I was speaking to for the entire service, but he was very pleasant and nice to talk to. They did quick, efficient work!

I took my car here to install a set of tires purchased from them. They attempted to perform an alignment and took a blowtorch to the tie rod, damaging and bending it.
After calling them they said they don't use a torch. When provided with evidence, they don't want to reimburse in any way unless you get more work done with them.
Who would trust them after that?

This is my 3rd time visiting this location in less than a year with the company vehicle I work for. First visit was for brakes, rotors and calipers in Jan 2025. Second visit was for new set of tires as it was good service but they failed to look at the recommend tire pressure when they mounted it in September 26th as i picked up the company vehicle after hours as it was prepaid.
Third visit, the appointment for 12pm for a brakes inspection Oct 24th. Based on the inspection I was informed the vehicle needed front brakes and rotors that would cost $1260 + tax. I was told I will be given a better quality brakes and rotors without breaking down the cost as I didn't ask however they just bundled everything without telling me after paying for it on the corporate cc. In looking at the statement a brake flush was done and new caliper bolts was performed as this wasnt discussed to me by the manager Dave who was dealing with the company vehicle. I was told that it would take 3hr to 4hr to complete but it ended up to 5.5hrs to complete because a wheel bearing came off. Waiting for an hour to get the parts from the parts store for the wheel bearings. The manager Dave didn't tell me this as he just said had to order another parts for the vehicle. Not really happy about it as it was already a long day as I just paid and go!
Mavis needs to train their store team to ensure that they fully explain everything and not just bundle everything without full disclosure. Also, not providing a paper quote as it's all verbal to do the job! This will be the last time I go to Mavis as I will ask my boss for all future works for brakes and tires, to go with another auto repair company of my choosing.
Besides the manager Dave who wasnt really a personable person to speak to but there was another service rep who I forgot his name was very informative and very easy to talk to.
It's sad that there's only 1 mechanic to do brake jobs and the others are for standard oil change and tire services only. They need to hire more mechanics do more brakes jobs or schedule two people to perform it

The New Asm Dave G at the front counter was amazing and had very genuine energy and even when a line formed right in front of him with the phone ringing he was giving each customer an ear for a speedy service. I went in for a bad battery I got a roughly a year ago and I was blessed with their warranty covering my issue. Highly advise getting warranty with their team, they’re great at utilizing at the right moment and remind you when you have it. The new store manager Dave at the service desk was already familiar with my from the past which made the visit feel like a walk in the park. Thank you guys and Nigel for getting me and my son out in under a visit from quick check. Thank you guys 🙌

Had a great experience today stop by to Mavis in Wayne to get a tire looked at and they were very honest to let me know there was an issue that should be looked at by the dealer. They repaired my tire that had a nail. They were quick and reliable. Highly recommended 👍👍
