Recently moved to Summer Hill of Wayne. Staff was extremely helpful with the application process. The staff is professional, knowledgeable and kind. The grounds, building, apartment and laundry areas immaculately clean. The location is peaceful and shopping locations very close.

I have been living here for 7 years. It was the best decision I ever made. The staff are great always there to help. The maintenance dept. keeps everything clean and safe. There are daily activities planned for those who wish to participate including a weekly mass and faith talk. They have special holiday events and entertainment for all to enjoy. I would recommend Summer Hill to anyone 55 and older!!!

Summer Hill is a great place to live. The area is near many churches, doctors and hospitals, shopping of all kinds and several excellent restaurants. There are 1 and 2 bedroom apartments that have all just been renovated. The kitchens are a small galley type kitchen but have brand new cabinets and countertops and a new stove, sink, and refrigerator. The living room has a lovely new hardwood floor and the windows are new assuring no drafts. The bathroom is also new with a walk-in shower with a seat, a new toilet, floor, and vanity. The bedroom has wall to wall carpeting. There are two large walk-in closets, one in the entryway and one in the bedroom. The apartments have central air with a thermostat that you control as well as controlling your own heat.
Summer Hill is not an assisted living community but simply a rental complex for people over 55 but the office staff and maintenance crew are available to help with any problems or needs. You can receive help with applying for various things like section 8, food stamps, discounts in PSE&G bill and other options that may be available to seniors. There is an activity coordinator that plans many special activities such as holiday dinners, or a movie, etc. Bingo is available 3 days a week and there are daily games. There is a small library and several common areas where you can meet and socialize with your friends. There are also washers and driers on most floors. All the tenants have an assigned parking spot.
SummerHill is located in Wayne which has a wide variety of activities including a beautiful library, historic sites, parks, a golf course, swimming pool and lake, skating rink, bowling alley, an arcade in the mall, and even a dog park. The town recreation center also offers a large variety of outings such as dinner dancers or casino trips as well as summer concerts You will have plenty to do if you choose to live at Summer Hill
If you are looking for luxury living with huge rooms, a pool, and a gym SummerHill Hill is not for you but if you are looking for a safe, modern, comfortable home Summer Hill is the place for you

I've been living at summer hill for almost 3 years and have had a good experience so far. The ladies in the office are very helpful and knowledgeable. Two years ago , my job went out of business and that was my only income at the time. Susan was a godsend and I was able to stay on with her help.

I moved in 6 months ago and so far I like it. I moved from an apartment that I lived in for over 40 years in Passaic. I moved because Wayne is nicer and I am getting older and there is an elevator and a washer and dryer on each floor and my own thermostat. The activities are great and it’s peaceful and the office staff and the neighbors are great people. Hopefully I will be here for a very long time as well

They feel it’s appropriate to not allow a homeless woman who is a senior and handicapped to move in because they “project” she will make $6k over the limit on a tipped job which she will not even be close to making. Absolutely sick that they have zero compassion around the holidays and would rather see sick people freeze in their car over the winter. Not very Christian what’s so ever.
