My husband recently bought beef short ribs from this place, they were horrible, 3 lbs for about 42.00, horribly fatty and tasteless.We bought the same item from the previous owners and they were perfect. Find another butcher. When places change ownership it usually is bad.
Update 9/6/2025, the owner refunded the money for the order, I would say this is exceptional customer service and I would definitely deal with them again.”
“I live in waretown so, it’s a bit of a drive from me to Palmer’s but, I will make the drive anyday of the week in a heartbeat. You can tell they take pride in the food they serve. Between anything you get from cold cuts, to pickles, to their all mighty sandwiches, you truly cannot be disappointed. Some of the BEST sandwiches my family has ever gotten have been from palmers and let’s just say… they’re not skimpy so, even if I get a different sandwich then my wife, I’ll let her try a bit because they pack them enough to where sharing is caring (even though I never want to share because dammit they’re so good.)”

“Great meat!!!! I get my steak from here, my steaks always tastes much better when I get them from here. Because of that I make my dinners special with I shop here (idk it’s a thing I do.) haha
Also, they’re very polite. You have to park at the asbury park train station or just walk over if you live locally.”
“Fully stocked and whatever I needed that was not in the case, was brought from the cutting room when I asked for it. Good selection of prepared foods from shwarma to all kinds of side items like breaded veggies. Very busy as usual before Shabbat.”
“Always a great time when we go, but this time was above and beyond. Marc was absolutely amazing. He made us feel like a million bucks. The apps were delicious but the entrees were out of this world. The preparation on the meat was simple yet was better than anything we have had before. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better Marc convinced us to try the churro bowl and oh my goodness do not skip the churro bowl. 11/10 and big shoutout to Marc”

Their stakes absolutely fantastic their service and suggestions as soon as you walk in the door outstanding. We are so incredibly lucky to have a great butcher like this here in our Long branch Mammouth Beach area, highly recommend you stop in for me.
