I recently visited this location from out of town and I’ve never seen a pharmacy be ran like this. Not enough staff and the Pharmacist is disgustingly rude to her workers. There’s no urgency to help customers and pick up was backed up. When I asked the pharmacist for help she brushed me off and told me to wait because I didn’t even come to this location regularly. I came back after 2 hours and my script wasn’t ready and the pharmacist was on her cellphone texting. When I asked for her name she told me it was Deana in a rude tone. I did however speak to a nice worker Temei and she helped fill my script. This is completely unacceptable! Will NOT be coming to this location in the future.

I was pleasantly surprised that someone actually helped me find what I needed. The help was cheerful, enthusiastic and genuine.

I called twice and asked for a call back and I did not get one. They say call back in an hour.

I recently picked up a prescription and requested counseling, as I was unfamiliar with the medication. When I asked for assistance, the technician responded dismissively, asking, “What do you need?” I explained that I needed counseling about the medication, but her attitude was unprofessional, and she told me to come inside. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time, as I needed to get back to work.
Later, I called the pharmacy to speak directly with the pharmacist. While asking my first question, I felt the tone of the conversation shift as I tried to ask a second question. The pharmacist curtly told me to “read the directions.” I explained that I had read them but still had additional concerns. Instead of addressing my questions, she abruptly said “OK” and hung up on me.
As someone who has worked in healthcare for over 27 years and has a solid understanding of pharmacology, I found this treatment unacceptable. If I, with my background, am dismissed like this, I can only imagine how other customers without similar knowledge might be treated. This was the poorest experience I’ve ever had with a pharmacist, and it’s deeply concerning.
CVS on prospect ave in West Orange has pharmacy employees working on 12/13 that need training on customer service.

There is no better argument for the elimination of brick and mortar stores than a modern experience at a modern day drug store. After not having Rx ready and didn't get discount as advertised on another item I realized life would be better if I just ordered a few items online and bonus of avoiding the impulse purchases

I’d give ZERO if i could. Was told 15 mins for a script and waited 45. Meanwhile the pharmacist was trying to help and his associates were too busy diving him an attitude and telling him “if you don’t stop I’m taking a break” the absolute most childish behavior I’ve ever seen. The group of girls in the back (NOT THE FRONT) need to know how to their job.

Told 20 minutes. Waited 40 and then told another 30 because of so many waiters. I’m the only one here! Awful service

Would give zero stars if possible. This is likely the worst CVS you’ll experience. Pharmacy is a joke, nothing is ever ready when they say. They’ll tell you to come back in 30 min, i came back hour and still nothing is ready. You’ll sit at the drive up window for 15min before anyone even helps you. I will be finding a new pharmacy after this last experience. CVS needs to get it together

The service was slow. As an African American walking into this store was a crappy experience. I do believe an employee followed me to the Pharmacy area. Then at the Pharmacy area the vibe was extra crappy as the customers provided enough tension that was just about unbearable . It was like I walked into a KKK meeting. Mind you never wanted to go there but they never delivered as I requested. From what I see the community is predominantly white and if you believe in positive stereotyping then they are well to do $ but actually I see some broke, to just making it white people playing the role of someone doing good, because when I stepped out to my 130k sports car the same people that were staring at me in the store were staring at me in my car like they were impressed . If the community is primarily wealthy or well to do then that would not have impressed anyone .
Basically these people have an evil culture .
I am soooooooo much better than them .
Take this as a message to that community. Straight trash covered in Christmas wrapping.

Everything is horrible here. Maybe the most poorly managed CVS on the planet. You will be irritated every time you go.

If I could give this CVS ZERO stars, I would. We made an appointment for a COVID vaccine. Per the request on the app, we checked-in on the app but also with the employee at the cash register just to cover ourselves. We sat for 20 minutes. My husband asked why nobody has come over and she said, "Oh! We didn't know you were here!" That's after checking in TWICE. We waited another 20 minutes. An employee came over and told us they were out of COVID vaccines. That was after making an appointment for it and a 40 minute wait. Here's the best part.... we drove all the way home and got a call from someone at CVS. "Where did you go? I was ready to give you your vaccine!" At this point I was beyond pissed. I told her what happened. "I don't know why he told you we're out. We have them. Come back and I'll give it to you." No thanks. So we went to another pharmacy who said they had the vaccine. The icing on the CVS cake? CVS billed our insurance for vaccines they never gave us so we had to sit at the new pharmacy and wait while the pharmacist tried to reach someone there and ask them to reverse the charges so we could now get the vaccine. I tried to reach someone, my husband had to call insurance and tell them to stop the charges, the pharmacist was on hold for a good 20 minutes. We finally were able to get the vaccine. Over the course of the last 2 years and after constantly screwing up at this store and the other one here in town, we have moved everything over to this new pharmacy who seem to constantly be cleaning up CVS's messes. We've brought friends over with us. After today we are officially done with CVS.
