As soon as I walked in, the place smelled, compared to other Petcos. Especially near the guinea pig area smelled strongly of urine, like the place isn't properly cleaned or maintained. Then I saw the poor fish, some of them dead and rotting in the tanks, the glass visibly dirty like it hasnt been touched in a month. It's unethical, and their lives matter too, its a concern that needs to be addressed.

"It's TIME 2 LET GO of PETCO!"
As a customer for OVER 10 years,
the GROOMING department has CHANGED
for the WORST!!!
Lack of groomers always saying, "Let me take your phone number and I will call you back!"
Most recently a groomer by the name of "Vanessa" was screaming and shouting when I told her,
"You say you will call but you NEVER do!"
She said, " I was suppose to be on my break and call another customer and you just made me miss my break!"
Vanessa you are NOT doing me NO FAVORS!
You act like I NEED PETCO and whatever
I say does not matter.
Under NEW Management or the management
has NO CONTROL.
But with an attitude like that,
I DARE for her to take her animosity
and place fear on my fur buddy.
And they don't want that (TRUST ME).
So Good bye to PETCO.👋
The only good thing about letting go,
it's time for me to GET SMART
and be with PETSMART.

Found what I was looking for. Associates sitting around with AirPods in, absurdly long line with one cashier at checkout. No urgency to check people out. In short, a total mess.

The vet that is onsite today is incredibly rude. I'm a long time customer for all services including grooming. Today I came for my dogs annual rabies vaccine. The tech was awesome with the weighing and paperwork. It is listed on the checkin that my dog has allergies. The vet with ipods in his ear starts talking from across the room that she can't be vaccinated due to allergies because she licks herself. Just loud and obnoxious. Mind you my dog also has anxiety. No hello, good morning, just talking at me. Could not get a word in. Was trying to ask what my next steps are and if I can do it here. I don't argue with brick walls. He's a donkey.

This was my first time ever getting grooming at Petco. I booked an 815 appointment. The website says they don’t open till 9 so I was greatly confused. However I still sent my dad in an Uber to there. My dad shows up it’s closed. He cannot see inside and he was about 25 minutes late due to the Uber & traffic . Nowhere in my email nor the website says you are to call when you show up To inform the groomer.
My dad is standing outside in the cold so I check my email and call the number on the email and I speak with, im assuming the groomer and I told her who I am what time my appointment was. (I was calling from work phone ) She was very dismissive and rude and told me I was late.
(I understood and apologized ) however, as someone who does customer service you still try to accommodate the customer . she says I will take you, but it’s gonna take longer. I have other dogs, as if she was grooming someone 30 minutes after my appointment were to start . I’m confused because my appointment slot was for two hours. She didn’t even give me a chance or call to see if I was still coming. AGAIN NO WHERE DOES IS SAY IM REQUIRED TO CALL AND THE BUSINESS DOORS WERE CLOSED . She automatically took the next dog so because of her dismissive attitude and tone of voice.
I refuse to send my dog there to have her work on my dog while I’m not there ! so
beware I will go back to a small company with people who actually care about the customers and their Dogs. Watch ya mouth and tone MONICA T!

Grooming for my dog for the second time was canceled because a crater face lady that works there refused to take my dog for the 2nd time an then she influences a coworker to canceled apt. Because of late but they accept walk ins terrible my dog doesn't like to go there anyways

This location has improved with products, and services like training and grooming. It still needs staffing were you can find a staff member in for instance the fish department. There are times were it seems like no one is working but the cashier. Other stores have designated staff to designated locations in the store. Dont even go into the restroom its a biohazard.

The cashier at the register was rude and more concerned about talking to her male coworkers than acknowledging me. Handed me the receipt and didn't say a word. Nice.

Today was the first time I went to vaccinate my 2-month-old puppy, which the vet staff was very racist and didn't even check on him and took care of my puppy as he should have, he just gave his 2 vaccines and gave him to me.
VETCO clinic 0 stars!!!!
I will never go again!!

Not a great place for healthy fish. A lot of tanks have dead fish stuck in the filters and the Betta are mostly dead and/or dying.
