I unfortunately will not be returning. This is not regarding service as I was denied to preserve the state of my hair. Kimberly was very honest regarding the state of my hair which was much appreciated. When being denied, Kimberly used phrases such as “what do you want me to do with that?” and “what is it that you want me to do?” which was very hurtful. Questions with such wording are very harmful when seeking professional help. All deposits were returned.

i found my salon! FINALLY!!! i had the pleasure of meeting Kim and getting a quick cut just from walking in! I can see Kim is very talented, honest, and real sista-vibes that we all want when getting hair done. plus the salon is clean and tranquil.....looking forward to getting my best hair!

Ok so Ladies, I am so eternally grateful for finding Kim! I was searching for a new hairstylist who understands natural hair. My hair needed lots of TLC and a new fresh haircut. Well Kim did not disappoint. She exceeded my expectations! She gave me a fierce short a la Halle Berry Cut and silk pressed my natural tresses. I absolutely LOVE IT!!! I use to have this cut many years ago but it was permed. I am so thrilled I can achieve this style without perming. I get compliments on a daily. My swag and Vibes are back on 100!! Thank you Kim!

If you want your hair done right, come to Soultry Scissors. She does all types of hair. Always professional, courteous, caring, and considerate. Kim makes it her business to call her clients if she's running late. If she has an earlier time, she'd contact you to make you aware. She does not like to inconvenience her clients. Her goal is to get you in and get you out. She knows how to work her magic to get grey hair bright. "She works grey hair like a boss." Come by, you'll be happy she did your hair.

Like most women, I want to look fly when I leave her chair (and I do), but more importantly, I want a professional who understands hair care. That is Kim. She does not tell you what you want to hear; she tells you what you need to hear to ensure your hair is healthy. I am very happy with Kim and have no intention of going anywhere else!!! I cannot express how happy I am to have found Kim and Soultry Scissors! After a couple of harrowing experiences at another salon, (Kim says I'm lucky to still have hair on my head after what was done!), I searched for another establishment that worked with natural hair and saw the glowing reviews for Soultry Scissors, so scheduled an appointment in September. Kim subsequently reached out to me because she had to reschedule my appointment, at which time she asked me what services I wanted. I told her I had no idea since my hair was in such bad shape. She asked for pictures, which I sent her, and we decided on a plan of action. When I went to her the first time, she used a gentle color on my hair, gave it a treatment, and shaped it so we could begin to get it back to healthy state. I've been to Kim a few times since and I have to say that one of the things I really like about her is that she listens to you!! Although she's great at what she does, it's not an ego thing with her, it's about you and making you feel comfortable. You can tell her what your concerns are and she talks you through how she can address them, giving you alternatives and letting YOU choose which route you want to go. So refreshing! I told her that I came to dread going to the previous salon, but I'm actually excited to come to Soultry Scissors because I know that Kim will: 1) be gentle 2) be kind 3) be professional and 4) be pleasant. Wish I had found her first!
