I recently visited Westwood Regional Animal Hospital with my golden retriever, Willow, and I must say, our experience was nothing short of exceptional. We've been seeing Dr. Cattiny for some time now, and his dedication to doing things the right way has never wavered. He's thorough, compassionate, and always takes the time to explain treatments and procedures in a way that's easy to understand. I've seen some negative reviews online, but from my numerous visits, they just don't add up. The care and attention Willow receives here are unparalleled. A big thank you to Dr. Cattiny and the entire team for consistently going above and beyond. While Westwood Regional Animal Hospital isn't the least expensive option available, it's also far from the most costly. Their pricing strikes a balance, reflecting the high-quality care and state-of-the-art facilities offered. During our visits, I've had the opportunity to tour the hospital and was impressed by the modern medical equipment and the clean, welcoming environment. It's evident that they invest not only in their staff's expertise but also in maintaining a facility that supports the best possible care for our pets.

Our 2 year old AKC champion went for an emergency visit...after only a few minutes, Dr. Catinny was able to pinpoint Koda's pain. Whereas the staff was very helpful, Dr. Catinny was the one that inspired the most calming confidence that Koda was going to be ok.After a few years of going for regular day care (we thought it was important to continue to socialize our dogs) and speaking to former employees, it would appear that the facility as not forthcoming about other visiting dogs with kennel cough. No wonder Koda wound up coming back sick from each visit. No more visits to day care.Even in emergency visits, the waiting time was insane...to the point of there was no point of emergency anymore. They have since changed their operating hours (no more 24/7) to that of a standard vet office. They started with so much promise...it's sorry to see that it has not come to fruition.

I took my dog in for ear infection was given prednisone by Dr. Silver, my dog is sicker now then she was from ear. I called several times to speak to Dr Silver, she never called back, I was assured that she received messages and would call, she never did and they closed at 10. This is poor practice and shows no concern for the animal!!!

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, all they care is money, how much unnecessary tests can I do so I can get more money, took my 7 months old cat to them, due to blockage, 2 times, ended up paying almost $2000 dollars and my cat died yesterday with a very painful, suffering death, kept sending me home undiagnosed reasons for her sickness, everyone gets annoyed when you ask too many questions, they are the reason my cat died, we are devastated but hey at least they are $2000 dollars richer.Wow, wow, I finally get a response for my review which was left months ago, and its full of lies, and NO apology , I didn’t want to pursue treatment, THERE WAS NO TREATMENT offered, are you kidding me, I came 3 times and paid $2000 dollars and was sent home with diet cat food and Nausea medicine, this is an awful place ?

Do NOT go to the Westwood Hospital for an emergency with your pet.I was there on Tuesday with a bloody pet who received NO attentionbecause there were NO VETS on call at 7:40 AM. My pet was not attendedto immediately and we waited around for over 1 hour. The Vet who wasemailed to come in cleaned up the blood on the floor AND NEVER EVERCLEANED UP MY DOG's EYE THAT WAS BLEEDING.NEEDLESS TO SAY WE WERE VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE LACK OF SERVICEAND THE NON ATTENTION TO AN EMERGENCY. SHE CALLED BACK PATIENTSAND WE WERE WAITING IN A ROOM FOR HER RETURN. SHE ALSO LISTED ACOUPLE OF TESTS SHE WANTED TO BILL UP BEFORE EVEN EXAMINING THEDOG. WHO DOES THIS???????UPON LEAVING I REQUESTED DR. CATTINY'S EMAIL OR PHONE NUMBER.....NO RESPONSE OR ANY HELP. THIS IS A DISGRACE.PLEASE DO NOT EVER GO HERE IN AN EMERGENCY FOR THE SAKE OF YOURBELOVED ANIMAL.

this is absolutely the worst decision of a vet you could ever use. i honestly didn’t want to come here but it was the closest vet and our dog just had a stroke. they sit us down and ten minutes later they tell us they can’t take any more walk ins. i didn’t want to come here because with our other dog they gave him a shot that apparently was supposed to be several over time but never told us that and charged us the full amount. DO NOT USE THIS VET.. they have 3.8 stars for a reason. and when you go to other vets and say how badly they treated your pet it is not new information to them.. use oradell or blue pearl.. this place is absolutely the WORST.

They are the most unethical practice there is and are taking advantage of pet owners when they are the most vulnerable. I took my dog to Westwood one night when she had trouble breathing and her tongue was turning blue. I repeatedly asked them to check her ears for an ear infection and they said they will. They kept Lucy overnight to monitor her and even though I asked them not to do unnecessary tests they totally ignored me. The next day when I picked up Lucy who was fine at that time the bill was over $5000!! I asked again if they looked at her ears and they said they were fine. 3 days later I went to my regular vet cause Lucy was not eating and kept loosing her balance. The issue was an inner ear infection. Her ears were full of puss and it was evident they were never checked or cleaned! So all she needed was an antibiotic and a good ear cleaning. It should be illegal for these business to operate this way and take advantage of pet owners. I will make sure the BBB hears about this.

Place is awful. The wait times are terrible. I've never had to make an appointment, but a few times had to emergently bring a pet there. Once with my dog with a bleeding open wound and had to wait almost an hour. Saw one vet last time that basically told me my dog was gonna die and nothing we can do, just not how it should be presented. Now, same dog, on end of life care and I can't get in touch with anyone about prescription refill. Left 2 messages each of last two days, no call backs. Taking her to Park Ridge animal hospital where they can see me same day and no wait. Unless you HAVE to take your pet here, stay away.

It's always a scary thing when your pet is sick and you need emergency vet care. We recently had to walk our family dog, Mocha, over the rainbow bridge. The doctors and staff here were exceptional! Their concern and compassion was well beyond what I expected. Thank you to everyone that helped us through this difficult time, especially Dr. Cattiny. ?

Westwood Regional Veterinary Hospital is a fantastic vet clinic that cares deeply for your pets. Dr. McConnell is an excellent exotic vet who has come up with a plan to help assist my hedgehog, Pip, to achieve wellness. Pip has been through many health challenges in her short life, but Dr. M did not give up on her and continues to assist in helping Pip maintain good health. I’ve attached a picture of Pip in a specialized hyperbaric oxygen treatment that I believe is only located at the Westwood clinic in the Bergen County area. Pip and I love WWRVH!

I’m beyond happy that I’ve found this hospital. I was so worried about my little Trogdor and Dr. Silver took a good look at her and let me know what’s up, as well as any follow up that may be needed. It’s a super affordable place, very clean, and the staff are super kind and great to work with. Will be continuing to take our pets here! If I could give this place a 10/10 I would.

The only reason I am giving them two stars is because of Dr. Cattiny. He saved my dogs life and I owe him everything. He is a beacon of light at this place. The first doctor I saw told me there was nothing I could do and my dog was going to die. Would not risk surgery even though she was old. My dog has lived for 16 months after that operation, healthy as can be for a 14 year old dog.I come to this hospital and wait an exorbitant amount of time every single time. Appointment, no appointment, it never matters. I’ve waited 3 hours before for a normal check up. It is every single time. And as always, everything is expensive.Really a shame. And I don’t leave reviews, but this is ridiculous. I had to leave with my dog because the wait was too long even though I scheduled an appointment. I guess my dog will just die?
