Went today to get new glasses. Definitely under staffed! Only 2 people working. No one to help with frame selection. Very limited selection of frames as well. Long line for those picking up glasses or contacts.
Won't go back!

The person in charge of answering the phone, is not kind. It's clear that she doesn't like people who speak Spanish. In this area, where many people speak Spanish, they should have someone who is bilingual and friendly.

I just spoke to Doctor Sharon Stein on the phone, after an appointment I had yesterday. I literally got YELLED at for trying to get a clarification for the numbers on the prescription. I have never been spoken to by a professional like this. I wanted to make sure I had the numbers correct for occupational lenses, as reading glasses are too strong for my monitor setup. She explained, in a very heated manner, that I was trying to speak her language and that she was going to give me what I need. I was very polite until I got admonished and yelled at. I guess some Doctors have too big of an ego to deal with customers that are inquisitive and have opinions.

The customer service is terrible. The worker Pat should be let go. She is rude and not helpful. I could not believe the way she spoke to me. I returned the glasses. I plan to email the corporate office. I have been going to Costco optical for 27 years and never dealt with this before this woman Pat.

Let’s see the woman at the front is EXTREMELY RUDE VERONICA is her name I believe. I had come in to get my contact prescription. She tells me that bc I never came back for a follow up apt I had to pay for an entire new apt …. The doctor who I saw gave me one a days which I repeatedly told her I don’t want. They are more expensive and I prefer the month long. She still gave me one of these to take home. How do I understood that those were my trial pair and I had to come in for a follow up to get fitted for ones that you keep for a month I never would’ve taken the one a days. I was completely confused by all of this and when I tried explaining that to Veronica, she was rude and nasty. Don’t be in customer service if you don’t know how to speak to other humans.

I ordered two sets of glasses and a year supply of contact lenses. My wife ordered one set of glasses. Everything was ready in 2 days! Incredible service! David Cortes the optician fit my glasses perfectly! I am very happy with this place even though it gets busy at times it’s worth the wait!

I recently visited Costco Optical in Wharton, NJ and had a somewhat disappointing experience, which is why I'm giving it a 2 out of 5 stars.First, let's start with the positives. The prices at Costco Optical are competitive, and the store is conveniently located within the market, making it easy to access. However, my overall experience was marred by the service provided by the attendant, Pat.I presented my prescription, and Pat instructed me to browse the selection of eyeglasses. After spending about 30 minutes carefully choosing a pair, I returned to the counter to proceed with my purchase. To my surprise, Pat informed me that my prescription wasn't dated and, therefore, she couldn't proceed with the order. What frustrated me was that she had seen my prescription earlier and hadn't mentioned this issue until after I had made my selection. This lack of communication was quite frustrating and time-consuming.Furthermore, when I inquired about the price, Pat mentioned that I could only find out the cost after finalizing the purchase due to my insurance. This struck me as inaccurate since I've been to other optical stores that, when utilizing the same insurance, provided an estimate upfront. It left me feeling somewhat misled and uncertain about my purchase.In summary, while Costco Optical offers competitive pricing and a convenient location, the service provided by the attendant, Pat, left much to be desired. The lack of timely communication regarding my prescription and the unclear pricing policy based on insurance were significant drawbacks to my visit. I hope they can improve these aspects of their service to enhance the overall customer experience.

I've never really had any issues but today I called to place a refill order. I spoke with a woman who was quite rude. She cut me off as I was speaking. When I tried to give her my credit card information I spoke slowly so she didn't miss the numbers. She was trying to rush me so I spoke faster and then she got mad and told me to slow down. She had an attitude in her voice of annoyance. After we hung up she called me back because the credit card would not go through and she said she may have misunderstood a number. NO KIDDING. Of course you did because you rushed me and this is what happens. Very RUDE and if I ever get her on the phone again, I will ask to speak with one of the men who are always pleasant to deal with.

Extremely unproductive. Was met with no acknowledgement until someone decided to help me. I was the only one in line. As I was explaining what I needed I was interrupted half way through with short, rude answers. Then told that I wasn’t allowed to try on glasses because they would have to disinfect them. Then she said a key word “preferred” not to clean them. So it’s her job. In the end I just left because the customer service was extremely poor.

The optical dept is difficult to reach by phone. Two days of calling. Very frustrating. No one answers. This is no way to treat members!
