My friend recommended Christine, and her professional and compassionate expertise exceeded my expectations. I left feeling so much more confident about how I would look that day in my gown. Christine also took the time to help me with every day undergarments that I love!! And are so comfortable and make everything I wear looks so much better!! I’ve always appreciated how welcoming the vibe is, no matter your age. The staff are friendly and never make you feel out of place, and the music gives the whole place an energetic, fun atmosphere.

I’ve seen parents shopping with their kids, teens picking out concert shirts, and adults hunting for nostalgia pieces all at the same time. Hot Topic makes it easy for everyone to express themselves, and honestly, that’s what keeps me coming back. “I started pure barre a couple months ago, after not working out for years (embarrassed to say decades), but after having my two babies I promised myself I would start working out for healthy reasons. I didn’t know what to do because I get social anxiety going to the gym so after doing my research I came across Pure Barre & I did the intro class—I decided to join RIGHT AWAY. I’m currently obsessed with pure barre, the vibe, the workouts, the after workout feeling, and to top it off they have the most amazing crowd and instructors (of course I have my fav..shout out to Brannagh for being the BEST). Don’t hesitate to join, I’m a beginner and I already feel so strong & so motivated to keep on going. I’m so happy I came across pure barre!”

“Excellent store, excellent customer service! Visited the Wayne store, had to make some returns from both online and in-store purchases. Joe in the customer service area was fantastic. Joe went above and beyond, had a great attitude and is a great ambassador of the Kohl’s brand. The others working behind the counter were also very congenial and efficient. They all seemed to enjoy working with each other..
The kicker was after I made my returns, I did some shopping and as I was approaching checkout, deciding whether to do self-checkout or not, Joe remembered my first name and called me over to quickly check out at his register.
As many other retail stores have abysmal customer service, this was a great shopping experience.”
“Looking at the reviews before mine, it sure seems like this shop has provided some mixed experiences. I did not know about this shop until very recently (I only went to Maplewood for the first time a few months ago). Before talking about the shop itself, I will say that during my recent visit the staff was very nice (this included two young women and one older one - possibly the owner?). I overheard them having several conversations with customers and they all seemed very familiar and friendly. Of course, this is just my experience, so take that as you will. No. 165 (so named for the building number) is an absolutely adorable, comfortable and whimsical shop in Maplewood. They sell all sorts of items ranging from novelty items, candy, clothes, stationary, dish towels, purses, soaps and more. Everything in the shop is either meant to be charming, beautiful or tongue-in-cheek and I love that combination. Interestingly, I saw a note on the counter that indicated at some point last year this shop was going to close, but a strong reaction from the neighborhood helped the owner to change their mind and keep the shop open. What that meant on a practical level is that during my visit a lot of the shelves were definitely more bare than I think they would normally be. This decision is recent, so I am hoping that means in the next couple months the store will restock and have more to offer than it already has. If you're in the area, definitely make it a point to visit No. 165!”
