“We visited the Italian Market on a Sunday morning in late November and we were surprised at how many people were outside on a cold morning getting their fresh food. You hear about "food deserts" in the middle of large cities, but this was exactly the opposite. There were heaps of fresh produce on the sidewalks, and the shops were filled with every kind of meat, fish, cheese or pasta. Don't visit on an empty stomach or you will walk away with hundreds of dollars of fantastic food. It is also a great place to eat solid Italian food at a variety of small restaurants.”

“This niche, unnoticeable small produce/ co-op or co-op like store offers fresh food. If it can go bad then it might be on discount or even free. Definitely a neighborhood store to help the community with some healthy food options potentially. I stuck out that the employee was wondering what I was doing at this venue until I said TooGoodToGo. I felt like I would've been a nuisance without this unexpected "carte blanche." In my goodies bag, I ended up with two cinnamon? Muffins, 1 or 2 corns, croissants, peach cups, carrots, mushrooms. Almost docked a star but the man was nice enough to take his time to pack me some goodies and then pointed me to the free table of things as well. A man on the side of the street was trying to say hi to me but I thought he was going to ask me for money. So I didn't reply. I knew that I was in a respectable neighborhood (Cobbs Creek) but I also know that I don't live here, I stick out, and it is Philadelphia proper. It felt awkward to look around inside the small store even though there were 10 min left. Everything seemed ready for closing up. I would've gotten there sooner but personal things came up. But I did still make it on time thankfully. I guess you could say, I really get around!”

“I recently had a special family event and ordered our meatballs from Sap’s. Let me tell you - those meatballs flew off the tray because they were so good. These meatballs are melt-in-your mouth, and leave room for more, GOOD. The service and quality are impeccable. Thank you so much for helping to make our event more memorable with the love you put into preparing your food. You can taste it in each bite. I highly recommend your establishment to everyone reading this review!! Many many thanks.”

“Strap in for a foodie rollercoaster because Reading Terminal Market just took my taste buds on a joyride! Picture this: a culinary wonderland where food dreams come true. The vibe is like a gastronomic carnival - stalls buzzing with flavors, aromas performing acrobatics, and every bite a ticket to taste-bud paradise. The staff here? Friendlier than a golden retriever at a belly rub convention. I embarked on a food safari, starting with a cheesesteak that was basically a sandwich symphony. The soft pretzels were like carb clouds, and don't even get me started on the donuts - they're basically rings of happiness! The variety is mind-blowing; I wandered from hoagies to dumplings, oysters to gyros, all within a culinary compass gone haywire. The Pennsylvania Dutch treats? It's like my taste buds took a history class and aced it. The only downside? Choosing is a Herculean task. But hey, indecision is a small price to pay for this food fiesta! If you haven't navigated this foodie Disneyland yet, you're missing out on a culinary carnival that makes everyday a food adventure. Reading Terminal Market, you've just won a permanent spot in my heart (and stomach)!”

“Saps produce shack is the best place to go for lunch hands down! They have a great salad bar with just about everything you could want on your salad plus macaroni salad, potato salad, pasta salad, just to name a few. They have sandwiches too and the chicken cutlet and hoagies are delicious. I never tried them but they sell homemade cookies and pastries and of course produce too! I go at least twice a week for the salad bar!”

“Couldn't find half the advertised items & 1 type of item (ex: bread) is in about 2-3 different places. Got a little better. I can find some stuff. Still like the one in Glenolden because it's organized better.”

“Awesome staff always plote and helpful.Generally never too crowded but when lines get to long however they are very good at opening up more registers when they get long.If you use the self checkout lane you can get in and super fast. Just keep a lookout for open stations. If your short it can be hard to see the next open one. This is my go to store.Recommended not going around 430 lots of shoppers”

“Great produce selection for a small shop. The premade salads, both veggie and fruit, are beautiful and packed to the gills, with multiple size options. Not much of anything other than fruit and veg, though.”

“I recently discovered this wonderful little family-owned grocer, and I am glad that I did. The fresh produce is ideal for anyone looking for top-quality fruits and vegetables. It’s clear they take pride in offering the best. But what truly sets this place apart is their friendliness, and authentic Mexican specialties they have to offer. From homemade salsas to traditional tortillas, quesos, and Michoacana ice cream, it’s a wonderful treat to explore this quaint store. The friendly and helpful manager (or owner?) told me about their weekly tradition where they make and serve fresh tomales each Saturday from 10-Noon.Overall, this little gem of a grocer has become a new favorite for conveniently fresh produce and authentic Mexican flavors. I highly recommend Mari’s Market anyone looking for a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and the perfect blend between core produce and niche cultural foods.”

“I took a walk to MOM's from work because my local Giant and the Heirloom Giant on 8th and Market does not carry the Ezekiel Tortillas I was in need of. I knew MOM's was a little bit further and sold a lot of organic products, so I took a roll of the dice and won. MOM's is on the smaller side of the major chain supermarkets but still has a rather large selection of products. They've been in business since 1987 and have several stores up and down the east coast. All produce is certified organic, they have "banned" 250 ingredients from their stores, and they "take into account animal welfare, the environmental and social impact of products, and more." The store has a whole bulk section where you can fill your bag and pay for exactly what you need. They have a beauty section that all products are cruelty free and they give preference to organic and fair-trade products. They have tea leaves by the ounce. There's even a whole recycling area where you can drop off old sneakers, cork, denim, etc. and for the time being, Christmas lights! I found the layout to be simple and easy to navigate, clean and well lit, and a bit industrial as it is in a warehouse-like building. Staff was pleasant and friendly. Prices I felt overall were reasonable, if not on the high side. If you're conscious about how your products get to the supermarket and how they are made, MOM's takes a lot of that work away from you and you can rest assured that the products you buy here are usually going to be better than what you'll find elsewhere. You may not find all the brands you want or are used to, but someone made them a match for MOM's. Hopefully, you'll like that brand.”

“I go to Riverwards almost daily for fresh veggies for the day. They have the best produce in the city. The staff is all so kind and accommodating. I always recommend trying to get there early-ish though because they usually run out of a lot by the end of the day!”

“I'm very disappointed with self-checkout!!!!!! I REFUSE to use them, um NOT going to work for any store for free!!!!! Stores must give a 10% discount before I'd ever use the self-checkout!!!!”

4.4 Superb43 Reviews

“ALDI has a very professional staff that is willing to help their customers with any questions with locations of items in the store. The store set up makes it easy to locate items but the isle signs could be a little better with more food options.”

“It's super nice, a lot of cheap food. Interesting food options from other ethnicities. Will definitely return! Managed to get like twenty plus things and only spent $93. If we had gone anywhere else, it would have been double if not triple the price.”

“Newer location. It's the nicer budget minded grocery store option along the busy commercial corridor. Similar to others store in the chain, the produce is fresh, grocery items diverse and a better value. Parking is good. Several self checkout lanes and one very efficient cashier.”

4.5 Superb19 Reviews

“Aldi is a hidden gem. I enjoy walking around and leisurely getting the things I need which means I have to go when it's not busy and I know that's not easy for a lot of people. if you go when it's busy you're still going to get great deals because they are always there.”

He was entertaining and he made the ride pleasant and memorable. The smaller train driver was very pleasant and helpful as well. Overall an amazing experience with the Christmas characters and other staff. Our children enjoyed the entire experience. Beautifully decorated shop space as well ❤️❤️❤️Parking: There is plenty of parking for the entire family.Kid-friendliness: This gorgeous place is amazing for children especially if they are younger ❤️❤️❤️Wheelchair accessibility: It’s a huge farm with a beautiful stone… if it’s raining the outside farm land gets muddy… factor to bear in mind… wheelchair may get stuck.Otherwise the experience could be amazing for all involved ❤️”

“Get all my fruits and veggies from there. They get them fresh so they don’t spoil as fast as other organic places. Their prices are awesome that’s why I make the extra stop there rather than just getting everything at the supermarket.”

“I loved that there wasn't a ride to go apple picking. Everything is right in the main area. That's helpful with kids (not having to wait in lines and wait to be picked back up. Fun time, good quality!”

“Great place to get bulk produce on a budget, and who isn't on a budget these days?Update 16 Feb, stopped by,great selection (grade A+); varied types of veggies and fruits, even down to locales of growth. While these 3 following things are beyond their control, access to the parking lot is a (grade C-) their on a state road of IMO too much trafficFar too much plastic in the packaging, again not realistically within their control no grade neededLastly pricing... Pricing in America stinks, inflation hell, effin greed and corporate control...Vader is real and rules from a corporate boardroom”

“I moved down the street from this place in the last month and I absolutely adore it. The people who work there are super nice and happy. It has a great community feel and the other customers seem to know everyone who works there. The deli in the back is amazing - I get the breakfast sandwiches almost daily and their cheesesteak is low key one of the best around. Love love love”
