This is a great roadside stop near white sands. Definitely try the oils and vinegars. Favorites were truffle sage, aged balsamic, HABANERO, and Sriracha. Good prices on these. The wines are perfectly fine. The Merlot is pretty sweet, not your typical Merlot more like a casual table wine. The cab is acceptable, more typical. The others are all sweet so I didn't even try them. Prices for the wine a bit high for what they are but I enjoy shopping local when traveling.

MUCH nicer and quieter than their competition right down the road. AND they had what I was looking for.... Shelled, unflavored and unsalted pistachios. Not only that, they had a pinion flavored DECAF coffee! Since they weren't as packed with customers as the other place, service was quick and friendly.

Looking to try something out of the box but tasty.. pistachio wine at Heart of the Desert! I really wished they stayed open later because the ambiance was so relaxing, the wine flavorful and the service was welcoming! Tastings we're free, which was a nice surprise! Our wine tasting guide was so much fun to talk to and really made the experience enjoyable. The outside space is covered and filled with seating for couples or for a larger group of 5-6 people. In addition there are beautiful pistachio trees that guests can walk through.

I will say the other stop is better if you are looking for variety and something family friendly. I like dry wines, the "dry" ones were still pretty sweet. We did have my daughter with us and a dog because we were traveling. Neither of which were really welcome inside. There was actually a wedding going on at the same time so I'm not sure if we were really were either. Our visit was short.

Wonderful to taste the treat before you buy. Super friendly staff. They shared knowledge about growing pistachios and wine making. Great seating outside to chill and enjoy. Prices seemed reasonable.

Great pit stop on our way to the inn. There are a lot of gifts to buy. We bought pistachios and did some wine tasting. I think my favorite part of the free wine tasting. We were able to taste many different locally made wines. All reasonably priced. We bought some garlic green chili pistachios that have the right spice to them. Service was amazing, we walked out buying 6 bottles of wine a few bags of pistachios all packaged neatly for us. Everyone was very friendly and hospitable. Defiantly stop at the Heart.

Heart of the Desert was a really fun, impulse stop. We pulled into the area around 5pm and decided to check it out before it closed. We were met by really friendly staff who wanted us to try as many things as we'd like. The flavored olive oils and vinegars, the candies and nuts, and the wine were all great. We ended up walking out with a bottle of wine and a can of seasoning, both of which we'd had the chance to try. If you're in the area and looking for a fun, quick stop, Heart of the Desert is a great option!

Grabbed some wines after the free wine tasting. They also had some local beers and olive oils. We didn't do any of the other tastings. Definitely recommend stopping by both of the wine tastings, as they have different tastes than the other farm. Great day all together and left with some nice wines, a few award winning as well.
