I have visited here three times, I wear a small cross purse that barely fits my phone and keys.
It’s really stupid that I’m being watched like I’m going to steal something. I dress better than the majority of the people who make purchases at this store. Everything I’m up sold a product or the “fresh” tea or samosas I buy some. Why? to help support local businesses. I honestly feel like I’m being watched because of my appearance: I’m light brown skinned with loose curls.
You’re in the middle of Albuquerque if you’re not accustomed to seeing non Hindi speaking people in your store you’re the problem! I hope you’re store closes soon because you’re an ignorant racist!
the first visited I was watched it was uncomfortable I ignored it. the cashier stood outside the store was measuring the window and was watching me fill my basket. they offered me a the “fresh” tea and samosas I bought. This second time I went the same cashier was standing in the same isle as me as I gathered my ingredients from my list I put a box of cookies on the shelf walk to the other isle and I returned and the cookies were gone. I didn’t think to much about it. When I was at the cashier the man brought me the missing box of cookies. I asked for the difference of the dates and I bought the $12 dates.
This last time I visited the same man walked to the end of the isle and watched me pick up items. I could easily buy everything online. ridiculous racist treatment the worst way to run a business. Buyer be ware!

This is the BEST market ANYWHERE! The employees are so very nice. They answer any questions you have and are so kind. You will find any of your Indian needs there, from food to spices to drinks and more. I live more than 70 miles from this store and every time I'm in Albuquerque, I stop by. You won't regret anything you buy from them. Try their samosas.... They're incredible 😍

V good groceries store with all spices,veggies, meat,frozen food under one roof and less prices compared to other store in Albuquerque. Staff was cool and attentive service.

I went to visit the Apna Indian grocery in this plaza and this review is primarily for the Indian grocery store. Lots of selection, friendly and courteous help and I will be going back there again.

Apna BazaarI had a not so good experience at this place. I bought the bag of rice last week and I wanted to return it for whatever reason, they don’t have any website and it’s no where written that they don’t accept return on rice bags. So it’s assumed that they will accept return. I do have a receipt. When arguing he said upfront that do whatever you want to do, If you want, do complaint, do not teach business to us.This is the first store I encountered where returns are not accepted, unopened and with receipts.Just be aware, any suggestions are welcome, what would you do if you are at my place?Note- nothing personal, just wanted to bring to attention if you plan to buy.I never had issue with returns at Bombay Spice

this is a pretty big India/Indian market. has a bit of everything, fresh fruits, packaged foods, spices, halal meats, snacks, beverages and frozen goods. Im totally shopping here again.
