Arroyo Del Oso Golf Course is considered by many to be the best public golf course in the city. It features a full 18-hole course and a separate 9-hole course called the Dam 9, both offering a fun layout with varied challenges that can surprise golfers with their difficulty. The course design is awesome, taking clever advantage of the natural slopes, and includes memorable holes with great green scenes like the one by a clock tower. The greens and fairways are pretty well-maintained and the course is kept in good shape for the most part. The facility offers a driving range, practice greens, a clubhouse with food and a bar, and a vending cart on the course. The staff is nearly always friendly, excellent, and professional. However, weekends can be slow, resulting in long rounds. Some areas need attention, such as the bathrooms, which can be out of soap or in need of renovation, and the rental clubs, which are not good at all. The carts could also be replaced. Despite these minor issues, it is a great golf course run by quality people, providing a thoroughly enjoyable and nice experience.
