I had a great experience everything went smoothly from booking to drop off. I had the vehicle for 4 days, I did book for during the week which usually affects price and availability, but again everything went great!

Renting in Albuquerque was a good experience, but don't go to the Avis in Santa Fe. We had a technical problem with the car 6 days into the use of it. The manager there was just plain rude and abrupt. He also gave us an inferior car which was dirty on the inside & outside. He could have asked us to come back while he cleaned up the car, but didn't. The drop of at Denver International Airport was easy & flawless.

This place has the worst hours. Has no back up for anyone who set up a reservation . My flight came in late and I paid a 25 dollar Uber to just be told they are closed so oh well we will just cancel your reservation . This is why I never use Avis . Hertz and national ni matter what .How do you not have a back up plan for pick ups especially it it’s not our fault … we are at the will of the airlines .

The guy behind the counter was okay, but he did not stand up to say hello, he seems like he was having a bad day. However overall the experience was okay. He gave us directions to our vehicle. But he did not go out there and expect the vehicle as we did. We took pictures of any damage and or dirtiness on the vehicle. Just to make sure that we were protected. He assumed that everything was okay. Everything was okay by the way.

So I made a reservation a month in advance for a rental car for a road trip, after being a Avis customer in the past I felt pretty secure in my choice. However upon arrival the Avis counter was empty and I was sent to the Budget counter, after waiting in life for a while the Avis employee had returned and I was then sent to the Avis counter to wait there. Kent was the customer service associate that was "helping" the people in line. And by helping I mean be absolutely rude to everyone in line, and raising his voice at customers, he made serval snide remarks to the people in front of me while assisting them including one elderly gentleman. When it was finally my turn I was informed by Kent that my prepaid rental had been given away and that I could rent a 12 passenger van, I explained that I was uncomfortable driving that, he became annoyed with me like I was the one causing him a inconvenience. When I asked for a refund he tossed a paper at me and told me to screen shot it with my phone and call them for a refund. It wasn't so much that Avis didn't have the rental I paid for, I feel like that could be addressed. Kent, the wonderful outstanding human that he is made sure I will never rent from Avis again, in fact I would prefer to take my chances hitchhiking than to ever deal with that man again. I honestly feel like he should not be employed in anything that involves dealing with people in general. He has the personality of a dried up miserable raisin.

The Avis location in Albuquerque Crown Plaza has horrible service. The vehicle was dirty, had a small dent, and the Bluetooth did not work. I was also overcharged for gas when I already filled it up. Also I am a preferred customer and should not have to show ID and credit card as it should of been a faster experience when picking up the vehicle, there was no one at the desk for 30min when I arrived at 10:30am And when you drop off the vehicle they fail to tell you that you must also write down the mileage when returning it. It was literally the worst customer service with Avis I have ever experienced.

HORRIBLE COMPANY! YOU CANT EVEN TALK TO A REAL HUMAN when you call! and even though they put a local phone number down on their site, it goes thru to the 800 #. HORRIBLE PEOPLE!
