Dr. Avila saved my miniature schnauzer's life last year. She has been the vet for my two pups for over a year now, and I am so appreciative of her knowledge and thoughtfulness. Kim, Jy, and Megan have been so very helpful. They genuinely care about you and your pets. Kim always takes time to listen to your concerns and questions. Thank you!!!

My review is for this Banfield and not the Banfield hospitals or premium packages themselves. My girl went in twice, checked out perfect weight, goes into Banfield a few days ago and is recorded overweight. No vet asked me anything. No vet came out to talk about weight management. A vet tech felt fine telling me what not to feed her but didn’t even listen to my dog’s exercise routine and she didn’t seem to care about the fact of muscle vs fat.For reference, my dog is a spayed female who weighs from 22 to 25lbs. She trains physically with tricks at least once a day, she takes two long walks with allowance to run (which she always uses) and goes to the park at least once sometimes twice per week.I would feel more okay if it felt personally tailored to Shadow, rather than just verbal vomit from this lady. The photo is my pup out for one of many adventures!

I really like Banfield Pet Hospital for our Princess Peach. They are so good with her and explain everything to us what they will be doing to our fur baby. She's not freaking out and not uncomfortable with them. She's so good when we take her.

Communication is horrible and the price gouging is ridiculous. They did not call to tell me the results of my dog’s biopsy. For a couple weeks, I tried calling and even went to the location to be told that they didn’t have it, then when I finally was able to talk directly to the vet, they somehow had had the biopsy results. We were so scared for weeks that our dog had cancer for no reason due to their lack of communication. They also charged us $50 for an antibiotic ointment that can be purchased literally anywhere else for $10-25. We do not recommend this Banfield location and will not be returning.

I adopted my 1st pet at the Petsmart where this Banfield is located. Having done some online research I determined that this Banfield was likely the best place to take my pooch for vet care. They encouraged me to bring him to have his 'glans expressed once every 2 weeks which I did not, knowing any better. It began running into some money before I finally realized it was completely unnecessary. They also encouraged me to bring him in once a year to have his teeth cleaned although this was also completely unnecessary as he was never given anything such as sugary treats that would cause tooth decay. They also encouraged me to buy their most expensive wellness plan which was at the time about $40 a month. I didn't realize until some years later that I had been milked by them, so better late than never, I am posting this review in the hopes others won't be taken in by the avaricious pet hospital. Fortunately, I have found a pet hospital where my dogs are treated ethically and compassionately, and where costs for treatments and alternative options are always offered upfront.

My dog and I were passing through town and he had an ear infection. The amazing staff found a way to squeeze us in so we could resolve the issue. They even called to check on us after the visit. Awesome and thank you!

Good day All,We have used Banfield for over 26 years and with two Labs. During the first thirteen years and our first Lab Banfield was AWESOME Bar none!!!! They saved Jericho on many emergency occasions after eating plastics etc and during wellness. With our second Lab Jake, they took care of wellness, but the one emergency situation they would not see him today. They did try to suggest I try another Banfield to get Jake in and made me a back-up appointment on August 2 two weeks away. I called the second Banfield and was told no, but they would call the first Banfield and get me an appointment. Then dead air.... Why did my wife and I pay $40+ dollars per month for Labrador care when I was turned away in our hour of need? I went to ABQ Pet Care. ABQ Pet Care got me in immediately due to seizures. They provided a military discount and actually cared about Jake. I had to pay $800 plus but received the care for Jake in a timely manner. Not excuses and kick to the curb by Banfield. I'm cancelling Banfield and seeking a refund. They used to be the best of the best, now they are animal mercenaries chasing the $$$$$ instead of our pet's best interests. I still cannot believe the change from the best to the absolute worst. I would take Jake to the pound before taking him to Banfield...... In this case the results would be the same. Banfield Pet Hospital.... What a gross misrepresentation (needs to be turned in). They do not do emergency care (Now) (They did 13 years ago). ABQ Pet Care saved the day. Buy regular pet insurance, not a Banfield placebo.... Banfield used to be the best and now failed miserably and left Jake to hopefully survive......

I love the staff and Doctors here. I have been taking my fur babies here for over 10 years. Have had broken hips repaired, abscess feet and teeth fixed. One of my dogs had lupus and this staff helps you. Above and beyond. They love and remember my pets and tolerate me. 100% honesty I don’t raise my pets like they would want. They are all on raw diets and I have not had my dog neutered (Akita 9months old) and they are good at kindly mentioning what they feel would be best and I try to listen. OVER ALL my pets are healthy and happy and I have zero complaints. If you are worried about vet expenses you should consider waiting on getting the pet. This is a responsibility and the Wellness plans they offer make you a better pet owner. I call it insurance but it is absolutely helpful for giving your pet their best life. 5 stars for this clan. They Rock!

My dog had something on her ear - we thought it was a tick but we couldn't remove it, so I made an appointment here to be sure it was a tick and to find out their recommendation to remove it if it was a mole. I couldn't get into the normal vet we go to because they didn't have appointments until June 20. The nurse wasn't super friendly, but she took me into a room and then took my dog to the back to be looked at by Dr. Snyder. After he was done with my dog he comes into the room and says he has no idea what it was on her ear, but he ripped it off. I said "you don't know if it was a mole or tick?" He said he didn't know and just walked out. I didn't pay for a pet visit for them to rip it off her ear and not even try to figure out what it could be! I was a little stunned at his unprofessionalism. I'm only giving two stars cause the receptionist that checked me in was nice. I recommend choosing a different vet if you actually want to know what the issue could be.
