New feature, Bank of the West recently taken over by BMO has added a $12 charge for every use of the overdraft charge account, my question "does BMO stand for bend me over?" Horrible way to maintain a customer relationship we're bailing out these bank's and allowing the graft and mismanagement to continue, I'm closing this account after forty years and countless bank take overs I'm joining a credit union.

Let me start this by saying I have been a long time Bank of the West customer. I went to this particular location to cash a check through their drive thru. I did the usual, sign the check, put my account number and give my driver's license. This went into the tube and to the teller. She got on asked if I wanted to just cash it, I said yes and everything seemed fine. Here is where it gets bad... I get the money back in an ATM depsoti envelope with no reciept and no ID. I think the teller must of forgeten those items I her desk. I hit the call button she comes back on while eating her food and says yes. I let her know she forgot to give me my ID. She looks at me dumbfounded and said umm let me look for it!! She comes back on says I didn't give my ID! Is this a a new thing where you no longer need to prove who you are to a bank and they just give you money???? So we go back and forth and she never once apologize or give me possible resolutions to this situation. I ask for a manger. The manager finally comes on and says "we all have been looking for you ID here and it isn't here, we called the customer next you and she doesn't have it either, are you sure you have it to us?" At this point I ask if they can review the video and we can see what happened ( mind you I am beyond sure I have given these people my driver's license!!! At the end of this the "manager" Shana has nothing to offer me keeps saying I never gave it and the earliest she can do anything is Wednesday. I ask for a number for someone to help me and she gives me the 1 800 number. At the end of this horrible ordeal I am still driver licenseless and have decided that for the rest of my life I will tell everyone what this bank did to me. I will update his post once they let me know what the video shows.

I have had 2 different rude tellers. The second time I changed bank. I wrote an check to my son using online banking. When my paycheck was deposited to the wrong bank I called them and asked if this was a problem. I was told as long as my son didn't cash the check it would be fine. He didn't cash the check and they took the money out of my account anyway. When I asked them about it, they said it was a direct deposit (wrong--they didn't have any account number for my son) then they said it was a cashier's check (wrong--cashier checks have to have cashier's check written on the front) So they can take my money plus charge an overdraft. pretty sweet deal for them. I would stay away from this bank and their shady practices
