Entrance is on Rio Grande Blvd not Aspen. Don't believe Google Maps! They should open that Aspen gate, though, because the entrance next to the intersection has heavy traffic at times. The hotel is small and cozy. The double-bed room was a decent size and clean. The bathroom was tight, and shower water pressure was very weak or maybe the showerhead needed replacement or maybe both. The fitness center was crowded with equipment but there was a cable machine and weights. If you get to the front desk before the restaurant opens for breakfast, they offer a variety of snack bars. All the staff (desk, cleaning, restaurant, etc) were friendly and helpful.

Not a bad hotel, just a bad experience. Was on day 2 of my stay when the fire alarm went off. I jumped up to get dressed and grab my dog when the alarm turned off. I opened up my room door to check when I saw a housekeeper vacuuming. I asked her what was going on she shrugged and did not speak any English. I called the front desk to check and she said it was maintenance and everything was fine. I was a bit on edge by now. I went into the bathroom to use the restroom, went to flush no water. Tried the sink, no water. I called the front desk the clerk said yeah water is off that's why the fire alarm went off. I was never informed of this situation, but I did get notified of check-out time even after the room was reserved until tomorrow.I packed up my stuff, went and got a refund. I did not feel safe being on the 3rd floor and not being told of maintenance. They so have great breakfast. The avocado toast is the best! They welcome pets so well ?. Rooms were clean and spacious. Everything was good, it was bad my experience.

It's a nice looking Hotel and has a restaurant within the hotel, and it definitely had a family-friendly vibe. I have stayed there many times and enjoyed it each time. The hotel has that Southwestern flair to it. I did get free vouchers for breakfast and discount on happy hour drinks. I did go to the bar, and the bartender was really kind and did a great job..It was a clean, nice hotel and staff are very attentive.I ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant within the hotel, was jason said grimly.I enjoyed a hatch green chili breakfast burrito, with bacon one morning,For dinner, I had some wonderful homemade. tamales that were stuffed with the seasoned chicken and covered with a really nice Green Chile, it came with rice and beans. Every time I was there, the food was served relatively quickly, and it was hot and deliciousI would tell you like other hotels that it can be very busy in the morning so you have to either come early or you have to be ready to be wait a little or if you're retired and and don't have a schedule come a little later but be patient with the staff because they're gonna be really pushed with a lot of people coming in enough for breakfast, You could always ask if it's gonna be a real busy time in the morning and if it is there are plenty of really good places for breakfast nearby. There are no microwaves in the rooms anymore. Because they want people to eat in the restaurant which is understandable. There is a community microwave on the third floor, and if you're there for an extended stay, you can get one put into your room.I can't say enough about the staff at the front desk. The bar and the restaurant. I'll always continue to stay at this hotel when i'm coming through Albuquerque.Food & drinks: Wonderful restaurant and bar within the hotel

We booked a reservation for a pet friendly room for this hotel. When we arrived there they told us they had a dog friendly room ready for us. When we told them we had a cat they refused us service and cancelled our reservation.

Everyone is understaffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working, This was especially true on christmas Eve and christmas Day. We had a great stay at this best western. The staff were very helpful and had great customer service. The breakfast restaurant was good and no issues with the room. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

We are Best Western loyal customers. We've been to Best Westerns in many states including Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, and more. Hands down my best experience was this Best Western. I loved the location. The front desk was very friendly and welcoming. The pet friendly rooms were actually clean including the floors. It's rare that the floors have been vacuumed. Most of the time, Best Westerns just sweep the hard floors but this one had been obviously vacuumed because it was free of debris which we really appreciate. The water pressure in the shower was very good. The room layout was very comfortable. The pillows were actually rectangular instead of square and had some substance to them. The beds were comfortable. They offer milk bones for your dog at the front desk when you check in, the room has bowls for water and food for your dog, and there's a dog bed in the room. There were plenty of the rolling carts to bring your luggage inside and up the elevator to your room. If I was going to provide some constructive feedback I would recommend that housekeeping actually open up the trash bags instead of just laying them across the trash can. There's no way you can get trash to actually go in the trash can unless you pull out the trash bag and actually open it. Customers don't want to open the trash bags so that the trash actually goes into the trash cans. Also, there wasn't an obvious place for pets to go to the bathroom. There should be an area with rocks so dogs can potty easily. The restaurant had a very good breakfast for my husband with eggs, potatoes, and sausage. This breakfast was complimentary. Do not order the breakfast burrito because they put way too much sauce. They ruined the burrito with the sauce. That's the only few things I would recommend improving because I highly recommend this best western and we will definitely stay here again. There was also a sunset from our room which was an added bonus!

Stayed here for a night and do not think it is worth $170 a night. I have stayed at other BW locations for less that are much nicer. Staff was nice and helpful. Room was clean. Faulty bathroom light switch that sometimes wouldn’t work(not a big deal). The free breakfast was ok.

Terrible management. Refused to honor the reservation. As my daughter and her friend were leaving, our truck got shot in a drive by. Stay somewhere else. Anthony Valentin, I called the manager of best western and also corporate with no remedy offered. Your call today and reply below adds insult to injury and attempts to evade responsibility. Very weak response. The shooting occurred just down the road from your property after I begged the night manager not to put my daughter out on the street in the middle of the night for no cause. Several large caliber bullet holes down the side of the truck. One bullet was lodged in the cowboy boot of the driver. We have pictures if you want to see them. Total act of God nobody was physically injured, although they experienced significant distress. This was in July 2022.

I stayed here for several nights in a group. The curtains didn't shut all of the way and the air con did make a dull noise all night. Other than that, the room was very spacious. There are washing and drying facilities at the hotel, but as a forewarning they only take quarters, in which the reception can help you with. Overall the staff were very nice and it was a pleasant stay.

The staff was good. The hotel is old and smells of cigaretts. My biggest complaints are that our loaded UHaul with all of our belongings in it was stolen out of the parking lot and the EV chargers dont work which is a big reason we picked this hotel.

Great hotel. I stayed for 1 night in September as I was at the end of a coach tour and wanted 1 night in Alburquerque. I am an elderly female travelled alone. Felt safe and comfortable. Free shuttle takes you to old town and also Airport and other areas. Coffee in foyer and lemon water. Great Breakfast in restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful.Rooms: room clean and comfortable although a bit dated.

I am really p****d! I am writing this review to vent my absolute anger and disappointment at the fact that the two Electric Vehicle chargers did not work. (The hotel is very nice, so this rating is not about that.) The principle reason I chose this hotel was for the fact that it had a working charger. I didn't need to spend $172 for a hotel. I had choices for far less. Before making my reservation for the night of Oct 26, 2023, I even called the hotel's front desk to verify, "Are your EV chargers working?" The answer was, "YES". I booked the reservation and three hours later I arrived and guess what? Neither charger worked. Even after almost two hours of them trying to get it to work, no success. (Oh, to put the icing on the cake, they charge $10 to use the charger. Nowhere on the Best Western site does it state there is a charge. Arrrgh.) I was exhausted after a long drive and went to bed. Instead of starting out the day 100% charged, I now have to backtrack a bit and sit for an hour charging somewhere else and get a late start to the day. I am SOOOO angry.

Stayed here for four nights during the Balloon Fiesta. Rooms were clean. Beds were comfy. They have a full service restaurant where you have breakfast. If staying there you get a breakfast voucher for each morning with 6 or 7 choices or you could order off the menu if you wanted to pay. We always picked one of the free choices, they were all very good. Breakfast was from 6-10. The restaurant is also open for dinner and drinks from 5-10. You can order a drink and take it out to the pool or up to your room. They have an outdoor pool and hot tub. We didn't use them but they looked nice. They also had an outdoor sitting area next to the pool with tables and chairs, which was very nice and we did use this. The hotel was only 12 miles from the Ballon park. I think our longest drive in was about 18 minutes. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
