“Valentine’s day candy box of assorted chocolates was quite good. Chocolates were of high quality. I think the price is a little bit high relative to other brands of similar quality. 5 star for taste, 3 star for value. Supporting your local economy has a value also, you must make your own judgment as to that.”

“Sugar Mama’s 505 is such a fun and unique local gem. I haven’t made it to the storefront yet, but I absolutely cannot wait to go and support in person. I’ve loved seeing her at countless local vendor events over the years, and every time I’m reminded just how creative and delicious her freeze-dried candies are. They’re the perfect mix of nostalgic and innovative, and always a hit with everyone who tries them. On top of that, Sugar Mama herself is absolutely awesome. She’s so cool, fun, and genuinely sweet-hearted, and you can feel how passionate she is in everything she does. It makes me incredibly proud to see a New Mexico business like this thriving. “Today, I witnessed an unpleasant situation and feel the need to speak up in defense of the store employee. She politely addressed two women and kindly asked them not to touch the candies with their hands, but to use the provided scoops instead. The women reacted with irritation and said she was “so rude.” However, I personally heard the interaction, and I can say with full confidence that there was absolutely nothing rude about the way she spoke.
As a customer, I actually felt uncomfortable seeing someone handle candies with bare hands. It made me lose any desire to purchase those items. And this is not the employee’s fault — it’s the fault of people who choose to ignore basic hygiene and respond negatively to a reasonable and respectful request.
I fully support the employee and appreciate that she tried to maintain cleanliness and order. Her request was polite, appropriate, and entirely justified — and in my opinion, this is exactly how it should be in any store.”
