There are so few good, independent, stylish clothing stores in ABQ. Gee Loretta has brands that I never see elsewhere in ABQ. I am rarely disappointed. Going to their wearhouse is always fun as well.Minus one star for sizing. I wish they would carry things in smaller sizes.

For a small boutique store, they inevitably have what i want-- or maybe it's that i want what they have. We 'discovered' them two years ago when in Albuquerque for a family reunion. Made a planned stop last week while traveling cross country, only had a short time to shop. They opened early for us when they saw us waiting, (who does that? No one in So Cal!), and really helped us maximize our two hours there-- we left with several prized pieces each, and it just made our trip! Wish i could remember the peoples' names, they were really wonderful! The quality of merchandise is high, but you more than get what you pay for.

I recently moved from Seattle to Albuquerque and have been doing my clothing shopping in Santa Fe or on-line because I haven't found any decent clothing shops in Albuquerque. I have passed Gee Loretta several times and it seemed like a nice store, so today I stopped in. What a disappointment! No one greeted me when I walked in the door, although there were women behind the counter talking amongst themselves. In fact, no one acknowledged me the entire time I was in the store. Not one salesperson asked if they could help me. I did look through most of the clothing racks, but nothing appealed to me. The clothes were expensive, but I wouldn't consider them high end. Most of what I saw was polyester mixed with other fabric. Also the styles were frumpy. Although I'm in my late 60's, I like a fresher look.
