This place is impossible to get through. Needing my babies medication: wait on hold for an egregious amount of time and then get hung up on. Will absolutely be going elsewhere. What a joke and a waste of my time.

I went into the pharmacy to pick up a prescription and upon opening the door I was met with a glare of detest from the front desk associate. She held her glare, rolled her eyes and begrudgingly said “what do you need” I replied that I was here to pick up my prescription, she followed with “I get that.” With an additional eye roll.I quietly and politely gave her my information and was treated progressively worse by her throughout our interaction.I left feeling like I was bothering them by doing business here. I left feeling confused as to why me just existing in a space was so off putting by the staff here.What If I was picking up medication to treat a mental health concern- how would the rest of my night have gone after this interaction?..I called the pharmacist the following day and he suggested I just use the drive through- indicating that nothing else would be done about the experience I had. I chose to write this review after some consideration. I would hate for anyone who might be having mental health issues have them made worse by interacting with the front desk at this pharmacy.I’m hopeful that by writing about my experience the need for professionalism in this space will be met with priority instead of dismissal.

I received the worst customer service today. This is a smaller pharmacy and there is usually a wait which I don't mind but today I waited 20 mins for the front desk clerk to go grab my prescriptions just to come back and tell me there aren't ready. I was confused because I received a text and a phone call that they were ready so when I tried to explain that the clerk cut me off shook her head and said I must not have listened to the phone call correctly. I told her my fiance spoke with a gentleman 2 days ago and they said it was ready. She again cut me off raised her voice and told me too bad it won't be ready and to have my "friend" call next week. I stayed calm as she verbally was aggressive. Nobody corrected her behavior and there was a line of 5 people behind me. I didn't want to continue being spoke to that way so I left and as I was walking out the lady yelled peace out chick! The defensive aggressive behavior over a simple miscommunication on their behalf did not warrant me to be verbally disrespected and the fact that not one person corrected her behavior was shocking. I hope my doctor can recommend a different pharmacy because this was unacceptable.

Messed up on my prescription gave me a prescription from September and now it's December have been in there several times in-between and tried tomake it seem like it was mq or my physicians fault and tried to take to one of the staff and was treated like I was stupid one lady wás very rude about it now my insurance won't let me pick up the rest till the 20 they know they did something wrong but wouldn't admit it talked to me like I was a drug addict felt disrespected and there's nothing I can do about it how can you lóose a prescription for 3. Months . I don't get itlady working the front very rude her name I think was Michelle

All Staff is very unprofessional. I understand that The pharmacy closes at 12 o’clock on Saturday approach drive-through around 11:10 to get my prescription within the parking lot for over an hour and a half arguing with the staff about how they gave me the wrong prescription. The lady was in a hurry to leave because it was ready after 12pm charged my card and took my prescription back without refunding my card or providing me with a receipt . Five days has passed and I still have not heard the status on my prescription. I was informed that they are behind on updating the prescriptions on their end will not recommend this place to anyone. As they cannot take accountability for their wrong doings.

The worst experience with a pharmacy I have ever had. Two weeks after hearing nothing from them, I called them and they said my one rx would be ready in 4 days. i still heard nothing. i tried to call. No one answered the phone 3x and was "on hold" 20 minutes each time so I went there 7 days later. They said "we canceled the rx because you didn't confirm." I said "how can I confirm if you didn't call?" They said "we called but we don't leave messages." Unless you possess super psychic powers coupled with a lot of time on your hands, go to Menaul Compounding. 100% better experience. I will never send another rx to them again.

Awful staff. Went to the drive through and the girl opened the window and just said, “what?” Went inside another time and the girl at the counter was so rude and disrespectful to the sweet old lady in front of me! Filled my prescription and it had a date that it was made two weeks prior and also said use by two weeks later, even though it should’ve been for one month. The pharmacist said, “It’s ok, it just loses its potency, someone most not have picked theirs up”

I have gaslighted myself into liking this place. It's quaint and I can walk here. I hate Walgreens/CVS.But the service here is so frustratingly inefficient. Only ever one person at the counter, always chatty and slow as a line forms. I'm always stuck behind a Boomer, who has absolutely no time constraints.That's sweet and would be refreshing, if I weren't always in a hurry.It takes them days to fill a prescription, and they still make me wait. I can almost never solve a refill with one or even two trips.If there were an alternative with the efficiency of Amazon, I would watch this charging neighborhood gem burn.

Every single member of Hiland Pharmacy is wonderful when met “in person”, either inside or at the drive through. Each person is knowledgeable, kind, courteous, and empathetic. Why then only ‘2 Stars’ at this time?Simply put, the interminable phone call wait, hearing over and over again the bland and self-aggrandizing messages of Highland’s unique fixes for your ‘adrenals’, male testosterone issues, easily swallowed pet meds, how great Highland Pharmacy is when compared to phone answering box store pharmacies, easily swallowed post tonsillectomy medicines. and so much more (over and over again). And seemingly often, callers, after long waits, are Then (!) told to ‘leave a message’.Highland Pharmacy is indeed a dying breed of ‘Mom and Pop’ pharmacies and offers Albuquerque amazing services for ‘compounding’, unique medicines, and hard to get pain meds, however, the ‘on hold’ system with completely obnoxious messages, needs fixing before this reviewer/client can fully appreciate the positive aspects of Highland Pharmacy. Answering the phone with more alacrity would be highly appreciated and seems to be a reachable goal.

My physician called in a new prescription for me for a corneal ulcer. I went to pick it up my prescription an hour later and was told that they did not have it in stock and will have it the next day. I called the next morning when they opened at 9AM and waited 30 minutes on hold and they told me they would call me when it was delivered. By 2:45 PM I did not hear anything, so I called. I was kept on hold for 40 minutes and then I was disconnected. I called back again and was placed on hold again. I was on hold for 45 minutes but instead of anyone answering I was transferred to a recording requesting that I leave a message. I wound up calling my physician and had him send the prescription to another pharmacy.

The women that work there are excellent.But there is one particular man, who seems to be the compounding pharmacist, that is so brusque and obstinant; refuses to look at current stocks, expected arrival dates, insurance approvals, whether an rx has actually been filled or not, and always repeatedly pressures his desire to compound the rx.He's practically antagonistic, and has told a variety of my care team and support system untrue information that has to be corrected by the competent women that work there.

When I was first being helped by Jessica she was serious about getting the right meds and for 8yrs there was no problem but then Leo got in the picture and everything went downhill. He's rude and ignorant and won't listen to you talk he over talks like he knows it all. I brought about 70 friends from The VA and Walgreens pharmacy with me to give Highland our business. Now most of them are already back at Walgreens. I highly recommend you don't use Highland. I get hung up on all the time after waiting 20 or 30 mins on the phone the drive up line is always a 30 min wait. The girls are always chatting and talking amo themselves and there's no more care for the customers. I'm done with Highland and having to put up with Leo's rudeness and not being able to get the right meds.

I was very disturbed not being able to reach anyone there for 3 days, being on hold for over 30 minutes each time and asking for a callback. It was not at all like this pharmacy to keep people waiting. Then I got a call with a personal apology and an explanation that this has been an unusually busy time with a great many phone calls coming in -- and I also got a resolution to my question.
