Love this hotel. I like the tiny hot tub, the breakfast is lovely and included. The rooms are small and beautiful. The shuttle will drive you around the area—3 mile radius. Rooftop bar is gorgeous.

I've wanted to stay here since it opened and I finally got my chance! The renovations are very well done. It's been modernized but has kept some of the historic charm. There's lots of things to see in the hallways and rooms that have to do with the original building. It's very interesting. The elevators still do weird stuff (they did when it was memorial hospital too) but the stairs aren't difficult to climb and the building is only 4 floors. The smaller building has been renovated as well but has been kept more original than the main building. It's all very pretty especially decorated for the holidays. It's an odd place so be prepared for that but it isn't scary or anything. We had a blast!

Didn't stay, went to the Apothecary bar. Very nice hotel with a rich history. It was the railroad hospital, and psychiatrist hospital. I didn't see any ghosts but, who knows?

Management is dismissive of concerns regarding bugs in room. Front off staff unwilling to check on room after reports of insects and unclean sheets. Rooms are esthetically pleasing. Rooftop bar was dirty. I’ve stayed three times and the third time will be my last. Good restaurants in the area but wouldn’t walk too far in the area at night towards the downtown area.

A very nice hotel with a unique story. A former hospital and psychiatric facility that is rumored to be haunted!Rooms: Our King room was small and smelled like hotdogs! The bed was a small king size bed.Food & drinks: The 4th floor has a roof top bar that serves some great food with excellent service and nice views. Breakfast was pretty good!

Stayed for one night recently. All the staff were very helpful. The hotel has such a cool history and you can tell they cared about both preserving the history but making it a nice modern experience. Fresh coffee in the hall in the morning was a nice touch, especially after I slipped out for an early morning run. Breakfast had a good variety and staff were working hard to keep everything clean/stocked.

Let me start off by saying this place USED to be a great place to stay. Rich with history and divine service. Me and my family would stay here once every 1-2 months. But let me tell you about our recent experience. I talked to a professional woman on the phone who name was Sarah. She helped me get a room, and understand my pricing, and my expected Time of Arrival. But once I arrived I was greeted by a woman by the name of Bree. A very egocentric, brash, and hasty woman. Apparently my room wasn’t active due to Sarah not grabbing my CC info. (No big deal) so I inform her that another lady I was talking to helped me arrange my room and price. Ms.Bree did not care. She threw around her title as “manager” as if was something to be celebrated and how she makes all the rules. I informed her that the pricing was already talked about and to use my AAA or military. She then very quickly and unprofessionally said “do u even have AAA” I knew this problem was going to escalate so I went back out side to get my dd214 and AAA membership since she wanted to make a big fuss about it. As soon as I came back in. Bree was being super disrespectful and dismissive to a elderly woman who was just trying to get her room. As she was finally helped, I voice recorded the whole convo just so the GM can see what a good job his manager is doing for her and me. As I went back up to present my aaa card Sarah who was again was new but acted like how a manager should. as I began to tell the manager does she need to see my AAA she threw a fit. And unfortunately cancelled my rez. I’ve been in retail and hospitality for over 13 years and when I tell you this woman is the epitome of a unprofessional manager and ultimately falls under the GM. I called to get info and send this audio recording I got nothing but VM. So with that. Do yourself a favor folks. AIRBNB! Better pricing and better service quality.Noteworthy details: If Bree still works there run as fast as you can.

Terrible place that should be avoided at all costs. It is also way over priced for what you get. They advertise a shuttle service (which was one of the main reasons we chose it), but no sooner did we get there than they informed us that it ends at 6PM. Can't even get to dinner. The very unprofessional desk personal were responsible for the shuttle as well. They claimed that they only had one person on staff after 6 & the shuttle while advertised online as running until 10PM was "as available" only. I guess they plan on it being unavailable. They also claim online to cover a 3 mile radius yet my wife was informed that they would not pick us up from a location that was only 1.9 miles from the property.Totally unaccommodating staff & management.Breakfast was pretty bad also. A really bad collection of frozen items that were mostly cold.Would highly recommend avoiding this place.

Recently stayed overnight while attending a wedding reception. Staff were nice and the atmosphere was impeccable. They lacked beverage service for the wedding guests, I would have suggested more bar tenders to cover the wedding instead of the rooftop lounge.

Nicely managed mid size hotel on main road. Excellent housekeeping service - some of the best I can remember post-COVID lockdowns. Very friendly, helpful front desk staff. OK get your own breakfast buffet service, a bit too much Hampton Inn v a full luxury hotel breakfast. Nice patio to eat outside if so inclined, or just to hang out in the morning or afternoon. Really nice rooftop bar with excellent alcohol and food (tapas) choices. Rooms not especially big, but nicely appointed and with well-arranged bathrooms. You likely will get an ADA-compliant bathroom - this used to be a hospital and the bathrooms seem to have partially carried over. Great value for money.

Be aware that the shuttle driver is also the front desk. This is dangerous and scary as they are qualified as a check in person but not as a professional driver who knows about weight loads, child seats, heavy lifting, traffic infractions, ect.

Nice hotel, great location. Originally built 1926 as a hospital for the railway workers, then turned into a mental hospital. Lol. The hotel was renovated and kept neat elements from the past. Lovey hotel. The Apothecary lounge on the rooftop is amazing with great views of the city. Catch the sunset, order a handcrafted cocktail.

Ummm, where do I start. I was staying at this hotel during the balloon fiesta. I left my credit card at the lounge after an exhausting day. I called to collect my card the next day and was told that the lounge had returned it to the front desk. I returned at 8 pm and asked for my card and was told it was "locked" in the safe and I could not get it until the following day at 9 am. I flew out at 8:30 am and tried to ask for my card back again, and was refused. I'm now back in California (same day), and now they REFUSE to send me my credit card... what in the actual world??? You are a 24/7 hotel and you confiscate a guests property and don't return it to them.. not to mention the attitude I got from sariah at the front desk when I asked her for my card back. I paid over 1300 dollars to stay at this place to have them refuse to give my credit card back. Fix your customer service.

Great spot for a date night, but often need reservations for the best experience. The view is great and it's one of the nicest spots for after dinner drinks or light food in Albuquerque.
