I'm quite sure that floating out in space I have a few derelict email addresses from CompuServe, AOL and Yahoo not to mention a one and done online shopping account courtesy of the long defunct Prodigy. It's time to add the rapidly imploding Redbox to the list. Twelve years ago rolling up to Walgreens and finding a DVD vending machine sure was swell but now the once ubiquitous red boxes that remain strike me as the current version of the public phone booth. It's not that I dislike Redbox, it's just that with thousands of movie choices at my fingertips the wisdom of swapping out physical copies of the entire Police Academy canon on a frigid January night seems so 2006. If I have that kind of time to kill I might as well churn my own butter. To their credit these hulking servants put the final nail in Blockbuster's greedy coffin so I'll always have a warm spot for them in my mechanical heart. Redbook just outlived their usefulness and honestly, there's no crime in that. I'm off to the Smithsonian to gaze at my old Commodore 64 and some floppy disks. Look at that, AOL tells me "you've got mail." It's about twenty five years too late. Later amigos.

So you know how in some parts of town people have different item's depending on the type of people in the area. Well these 2 redboxs seem to always get the latest releases or the newest games. They also always have a wide variety of options.

#30 of 2019 Redbox, how I love you! You keep me company when I have nothing better to do but veg in front of the tube! Tuesdays are my fave because your new releases come out! The thing about Redbox is that if the movie I want isn't at this location there are others in the area within a close proximity of where I am so no need for tons of driving just a for a $1.50 rental. Also as I've mentioned before, using your awesome Redbox app allows me to not only collect points for future free dvd rentals but the app will send me random 'free movie' codes! How awesome is that! The downside of the RedBox app: 1. If you don't use your points by the end of each year you lose them. 2. Once you use your points for a free dvd or game you are kicked down to a lower level with less benefits. This is something I talked to Redbox about and they really had no explanation as to why their rewards system is set up that way. So it is what it is. Enjoy your DVD Rental with some snacks! You can walk right into Ghetto Smiths and purchase groceries/snacks/alcohol! Ghetto Smiths and Red Box are two of my faves!!!

Good selection sometimes it has movies that still cost $ on Comcast PPV or Amazon prime.
